Chapter 7 The Movie Tickets
Before departure I had no idea what the business trip was for. I only felt dazed when I stood in front of the cinema.
Watching the Boss buy two tickets for a romance movie at the counter made my doubts grow.
"Hello, you two lovebirds. We have a couple promotion today. Half-price popcorn. Would you like some?"
I was about to explain.
Then I saw the Boss's mouth curve high.
The Boss got the half-price popcorn as he wished and led me into the theater.
"Boss, do you like taking advantage of deals?"
I could not help asking.
The Boss's steps suddenly stopped. He bent down and stared into my eyes.
His pupils were deep yet frighteningly bright.
His voice was low and slow, as if weighing every word.
"Depends on the person. If it is you, I am more than willing."
Before I could react a piece of popcorn was stuffed into my mouth.
It was sweet.
