Chapter 2

I had just graduated from university and worked like a horse. I stayed up all night to finally produce a Proposal I was somewhat satisfied with.

The next day in the meeting, Boss held my work with obvious disgust.

"Does this trash still need to be kept? Whose is it?"

Boss was a returnee from overseas with a face straight out of a modeling magazine.

My friends all said I was lucky to get paid to look at a handsome guy every day.

Only I knew how harsh Boss really was.

I hesitantly raised my hand.

The next second, his sharp gaze shot toward me.

"How on earth did someone like you get hired? It seems the HR department here is also questionable."

There were people all around. My face burned so badly I wanted to crawl into a hole.

In the end, as expected, I was kept behind.

I stood there while Boss sat.

He frowned deeply and threw my Proposal onto the floor.

"Last chance. If you produce more trash, you can go to HR yourself."

I forced myself to pick up the Proposal without daring to look at him.

My eyes stung and swelled with soreness. I kept my head down the entire way out of his office.

---

I finally reached a deserted corner and broke down in tears. Feeling wronged, I opened my Online Boyfriend's WeChat.

"(Crying loudly) I got scolded by Boss and cried again today."

My mother fell seriously ill when I secured my graduate recommendation spot. All the family's money was spent.

So I gave up on graduate school and started working immediately.

Money was still tight at first. On a friend's suggestion, I started doing faceless Livestream, recording my handicraft vlogs in my spare time.

Surprisingly, people actually sent gifts.

And my Online Boyfriend directly gifted me several million, becoming my Top Donor.

Several million was an astronomical figure for a fresh graduate from an ordinary family.

To express my gratitude, I added him as a friend.

Unlike my Boss, my Top Donor was not fierce at all.

He comforted me every time I felt down. One thing led to another, and we ended up together.

He was very caring and replied quickly.

"Hug. Your boss is obviously not a good person."

"How dare he scold you. I believe everything you do is the best."

"After all, you're so good at handicrafts."

The more my Online Boyfriend comforted me, the more wronged I felt.

"But I really worked on this Proposal for so long. I didn't even sleep last night, yet I still got scolded."

He sent several of the kissing stickers I had sent him before.

"You just graduated, it's okay. It's good to cry your emotions out. Take things slowly."

"Don't be sad. I'll help revise the Proposal tonight. Sleep well."

Looking at my gentle and thoughtful Online Boyfriend, my heart softened again.

I wiped my red eyes.

"What's the use of crying?"

My body jolted.

Boss was wiping his hands in a noble manner, looking somewhat angry.

"If you can't seize opportunities and always take things slowly, you'll end up like your Proposal, thrown into the trash."

As he spoke, he tossed the papers into the garbage bin.

He looked at my swollen red eyes with cold indifference.

"So instead of crying here, go do your work."
