Chapter 3
After Boss left, I almost cried until I fainted.
How could a 37°C human being say such ice-cold words?
But this company was truly good, and I had worked hard to get in.
Plus, with my mother's illness, I really couldn't afford to lose this job.
I dragged my exhausted body back to my desk.
The colleague I hated most was still there, mocking me sarcastically.
"I mean, how could someone with this level of ability get in? But then again, there are advantages. That face... who knows if she got in by sleeping her way up."
I had no energy to argue with her. I sat at my desk in silence.
Although my Online Boyfriend promised to revise it, I still rewrote another version myself.
I worked until I got off, thinking about it the whole way home, and finished the rest after getting back.
Only then did I send my newly rewritten version to my Online Boyfriend.
He was always quick to reply.
He received the file instantly.
Half an hour later, he sent encouragement.
"Is this your first draft? Although it's a bit immature, it's already very good for the first one."
"Go to sleep obediently tonight. I'll write it for you."
I was on the verge of tears again. I had already cried myself dry.
"This is already the Nth version I've revised. Is it really that bad?"
He stayed silent for a minute before sending several hugging stickers.
"It's not bad. You've improved a lot. You just need to keep working hard."
"Don't mind what Boss said. He clearly doesn't understand anything and only knows how to vent his emotions like a terrible person."
Watching him curse Boss several times in a row, my emotions finally stabilized.
"Thank you. Then I'll sleep well tonight."
Since starting this job, this was the best sleep I'd had.
