17. Onyx

ONYX

Ipull Shine to me, keeping her held tightly as the men storm the room, kicking open the door and more and more rifle shots ring out. It’s utter fucking chaos and the Scorpions aren’t going down without a deadly and vicious fight.

It’s probably not long but it seems like hours as the gunfire continues, with shouting and bike motors thundering in the distance. All I can think about is Hawg, hoping that he hasn’t gotten shot while I push off my boot and get to my knife.

I open the blade with my hands still bound and start to saw at the ropes that bind Shine’s hands until they’re free. She takes the knife from between my knotted hands and begins working the blade over the ropes wrapped around my wrists.

When I’m loose, she cuts through the binds on her ankles and hands me back the blade, keeping watch, making sure the fuckers are still focused on what’s going on outside and not on us while I free mine.

The minute I’m free, I kneel, straining my neck.

Trying to see what I can from the open door.

“I’m not sure what we’re getting into out there but if we can make it to my bike, I’ve got a spare key in the saddle. ”

She nods and we start moving, slow so as not to attract the wrath of a Scorpion with a gun. “Onyx!” I’d recognize that bellowing growl from outside the door anywhere.

Hawg came for us. My chest swells with relief. “In here!” I yell, helping Shine up onto her feet.

Hawg and two other men I don’t know appear, his eyes blazing with anger as two men I didn’t even notice come from the back.

“Onyx, down!” Hawg yells. I don’t hesitate, pushing myself and Shine back to the floor, staying low as Hawg mows the two men with semi-automatics down before they can get their weapons in the air.

Hawg closes the distance. “Tell me you’re okay, baby.”

I nod, because no words come. Never has any man done anything like this for me before.

Always on my own, well me and Pearl until she formed the Harlots and we became a family.

“I’m okay,” I whisper as he slides to the floor with me, but the voice doesn’t even sound like mine over the dryness and cracked feeling at the back of my throat.

The others guard the entrance while Hawg makes sure we’re clear. “Let’s move, ladies,” he says, helping us both up, keeping his arms around us until we get to the door.

Rifle shots permeate the air around us outside and the sound of motorcycles rattle the little house. I look at Shine. “Get ready.”

Shine nods, knowing that at some point even if the gunfire doesn’t slow we’re going to have to make a run for safety out of this door.

The minute the Royal Bastards and Rivalry stormed the house, I knew it was going to be okay. It’s going to be okay as long as the bullets flying around outside don’t take us out.

We turn our faces away from the gunfire, but the intense fire coming line after line, zinging across the desert, sparks something dry and catches the brush on fire threatening to light up the entire area.

“Let’s move,” Hawg roars as three bikes head straight toward us. One of the guys gets off Hawg’s Glider and Hawg jumps on. I climb on behind him as the others double up, making sure Shine is secure on the back of one.

Hawg raises a hand and the roar of the bikes thunders around us as the Royal Harlots and Bastards come from the canyons all around us, closing in on both sides, keeping us protected as we make our way out of the enemy’s territory.

I press my face against Hawg’s back, my breathing still labored and emotions high.

This could have gone so bad, and he and the others saved us.

We’ve barely reached the road and Pearl and Carver meet us, but Hawg barely slows.

“We’ve got the ladies. Let’s get the fuck out of here! ” he yells, gesturing to follow us.

The ride all the way back to Phoenix is long, but I don’t let go of my hold around Hawg’s back the entire way. I’m far too weary and emotionally wrecked to think about anything but the safety of his protection and still in awe of what he and the others did to save us.

The minute we’re back at the Harlots’ club I go to get off the bike, but he throws the kickstand down and with one arm tosses me over his shoulder, kicks the door to the club open and carries me upstairs to my room while the Harlots cheer and gawk, wondering what the fuck is going on, but happy we’re all alive and home.

Hawg doesn’t set me down until he’s kicked the door closed behind us. “Let me look at you, baby.” His eyes scan down every inch of me. “Did those fuckers touch you?”

I shake my head. “Nothing I couldn’t handle. I’m glad you came when you did though. Thank you.”

He leans his head against mine, inhaling a deep breath.

“At some point, I want to know why you left me lying in your bed alone and decided that it was safe for you to head out into the middle of the desert after I asked you to make sure you had someone with you, but for right now, I’m just fucking glad that you’re okay.

Let’s get the stench of this day and those fuckers off our skin, baby. “Hands.”

I raise them above my head instinctively as he peels me out of my shirt. He unclasps my bra, letting my breasts free as he unbuttons and unzips my jeans. I push my boots off using one foot and then the other while freeing his hard cock from his jeans.

Minutes later we’re under the warmth of the shower, cleansing each other, caressing our skin through the bubbles, grateful that we both came out of it alive.

And when he crowds me toward the back of the shower, cradles my neck while he kisses me as if his very life depends on it, I know, it’s not just me who’s feeling this way.

This emotion may not have a name, but it sure as hell isn’t just a roll in the hay.

No, this is something more, something real that leaves me breathless with desire but wanting so much more too.

Things I never thought I would ever want from any man again.

His cock presses into my skin as his head lowers and his mouth covers my breast, suckling first one and then the other before grasping my hips and lifting me into the air before sliding his cock into me so deep that I can barely breathe.

He doesn’t need the wall to hold me up. His muscles flex doing it all by himself, guiding me as he thrusts deep, making everything south drip with need as he finds that little bullseye so deep, hitting it over and over until the delicious promise of rolling of the waves hits me, bursting into a blinding orgasm as he thrusts three more times and fills me with his seed.

And if I thought Hawg was done I was wrong, because the way he’s looking at me as he uses the towel to dry me off, he’s only just begun.

One more night, I promise myself. Then we make the break clean, without a bunch of drama or hurt feelings.

I knew who and what he was when I first went to bed with him, and he proved me right.

One more night, and then I walk away, while my heart is still halfway intact, because if I stay with him any longer, I have no doubt he’ll shatter it into a million pieces with the next bunny that he sees.
