47. Wanna Go on an Adventure

WANNA GO ON AN ADVENTURE

ANNELISA

A look I can’t quite decipher crosses Will’s face while he watches me catch my breath after the much-needed orgasm he gave me.

“What’s that look for?” I ask, as I reach to stroke his cheek.

“Just marvelling at the fact that I get to watch you do that again,” he says, turning to kiss my palm.

I smile, sliding my hand down his body to take him in my hand. The nerve in his jaw jumps as he clenches his teeth while I pump my hand back and forth a few times.

“I need you,” I whisper.

He nods, getting up to grab his wallet from the pocket of his jeans. He pulls out a condom before tossing the wallet aside again and rejoining me. He opens the packet with his teeth and rolls it on quickly.

“Turn around and put your hands on the headboard,” he says, and his words send a shiver down my spine as I move to comply.

There’s obviously a benefit to spending half your adult life with a romance author, and he knows all the right things to say and do to get me going .

When I’m on my knees, I grip the top of the headboard with both hands, a thrill of anticipation running through my body when he slides his hand up between my legs and finds my clit again.

“How do you want it, Annie? Sweet and gentle?” He circles my clit slowly while I tremble. “Or hard and fast?” He plunges two fingers back inside me.

“Hard and fast,” I say, moaning as he works his hand back and forth.

“Good girl.” He moves his hand away and before I have a chance to process the loss of his fingers, he’s filling me with one hard, fast thrust.

I give up all attempts to be quiet, crying out while he pounds into me, his hand moving around to the front to work my clit while I hang on to the bed and take everything he gives me.

This is the version of Will that I’d missed most when I’d lain awake at night with only my vibrator for relief.

The one who can put me through my paces and make me scream.

He doesn’t come out much, but my god, when he does…

His grip on my hip tightens while he continues to slam into me, and I can feel another orgasm climbing its way to the surface.

“Come for me, Annie.” His words have the desired effect, and pleasure rips through me while he keeps up the hard, fast pace.

In all our years together, I can’t remember it ever being this good, and I wonder if we’ll ever tire of each other. I hope I never find out.

He keeps moving, not giving me even a second to come back to my senses, and my breathing grows ragged as a third, smaller orgasm piggy-backs off the last one.

I can feel him growing closer, and moments later, his movements slow as he comes, his mouth close to my ear as he moans.

Eventually, our breaths even out, and I turn to look back at him over my shoulder. “That was amazing.”

He smiles and kisses my shoulder. “Yeah, it was. ”

We untangle ourselves, and take turns using the small ensuite off my bedroom to clean up, before collapsing back onto the bed together.

“So… what now?” he asks, twirling a lock of my hair around his finger while he lies next to me, propped up slightly on his elbow.

I hear the front door close and wonder vaguely how much Maggie heard.

“Well, I need to get someone to come and take all that stuff away to be donated, and then… When do you need to go back?”

He raises an eyebrow. “To the hotel, you mean?”

“No… To Brisbane.”

He studies my face for a moment. “Why?”

I bite my lip. “Wanna go on an adventure with me? I mean… We did fly all this way…”

He’s quiet for a moment, and my heart drops a little while I wonder if I’ve pushed too hard. But then, a smile slowly spreads across his face.

“Yeah Annie, I want to go on an adventure with you. I’d follow you anywhere, remember?”

I shake my head. “No. From now on, we do everything side by side. No more running, right?”

He lowers his face to brush his lips against mine. “Damn straight.”

Once we finally come up for air again, I grab my phone to look for the number of the charity I want to give everything to, while Will heads to the hotel to get checked out and bring his stuff back.

I see that I’ve missed a few texts in the hours we were distracted in my room, and I bite my lip when I see the one Maggie must have sent when she left.

Maggie

I have no idea who was in that room with you this morning, but whoever it was, marry him. Any man who makes a woman scream like that is worth holding on to.

I snort, then catch a glimpse of Will as he walks past the window on his way down the street, and my stomach does a little flip flop.

Annelisa

You know what… I might just do that one day.

I spend the rest of the time Will’s gone responding to messages and making a few calls.

Once he returns, I resist the urge to spend the rest of the day in my room making up for all the lost time and instead, I introduce him to all the places I’ve fallen in love with in London. And we start planning our adventure.
