Chapter 3 #3
After collecting myself for a second, I finally gain the courage to share a secret with him. “Luce, can I confide in you about something?”
“Always,” he answers.
“I’ve never had a partner who actually cared about what I want in the bedroom,” I admit, more to myself than to him. “I’ve always faked it. Every single time.”
“I’m sad to hear that. That’s not fair to you at all.”
“It’s not?”
“Fuck no. It’s selfish as hell.”
“It would’ve been easier if I could’ve at least used toys during it,” I vaguely say. “It’s like the only way I can actually get there.”
“Is there a reason you never have?”
“None of my partners wanted to. Is that common?”
“Unfortunately so.”
I scowl. “Why is that so common?”
“Because they’re insecure as fuck is the obvious answer,” he replies. “Honestly, I’m not sure— I’ve never been one of those guys. For me, toys in the bedroom are my teammates, not my enemies.”
Even though he can’t see me, I smile.
“It’s not over until she comes. I don’t care if it takes me all night.”
Mmm. Did I get a cat, or is that me purring? I bite my lip.
“Wish all guys felt that way. I think this is my sign to get some toys. Next paycheck, maybe,” I say jokingly.
Except I’m totally not joking.
“So, you learned something about yourself from this session?”
“Yeah, I did,” I say. “I’ve finally realized how important it is to be with someone who cares about your pleasure just as much as their own.”
“It’s definitely important. Real intimacy involves communication and exploration. It’s only fair for there to be satisfaction on both ends, not just one.”
“Literally,” I agree. “That whole experience was wild. For once it was about me. It’s never been that way before.”
“That’s how it should be, Nora. You should always come first.”
My stomach does that flippy thingy. I mentally squeal. He’s good with his words.
“Who knew your dirty talk and smug mouth would help me figure my own shit out?” I joke.
“Glad to be of service to you. Look what happens when you ask for what you want,” he says carefully.
He’s not wrong. For some reason, I’ve always had a difficult time asking for things.
“If you ever want another session, just ping me,” he adds.
Mmm. Noted.
There’s a comfortable silence that hangs in the air. He unexpectedly switches the call over to Facetime, and I hesitate before answering. I’m pretty sure my nipples are still hard. Glancing down at my white shirt, I sigh. Suspicion confirmed.
“One sec,” I say.
Sitting upright, I begin to look for my sweatshirt. But then a demon takes over. Something possesses me. I accept the video call knowing exactly what I look like. There’s a blush on my face, I’m sweating, and my nipples are puckered through the thin material of my tank top.
Lucien’s eyes lock onto mine for a brief moment, dark and hooded.
Then his gaze sweeps down my pouty lips and flushed neck.
His mouth opens slightly, and with heated eyes his gaze travels downward, lingering over my see through shirt.
I’m pretty sure he notices the piercings through the thin material.
We meet eyes once more, sharing an intense, prolonged stare that differs from our usual casual glances in the past. This one is sensual, filled with temptation and an eagerness for more.
I’ve always found him attractive, but I’ve never thought about crossing any lines. He’s been respectful throughout our whole friendship, so I wasn’t sure if he felt the same.
“Hi,” he practically whispers, his lustful eyes locked with mine.
“Hi,” I whisper back.
Neither of us moves. Instead, he continues to observe all the signs of my arousal through the phone with dilated pupils and a tightly clenched jaw.
Eventually, I break the silence. “Thank you.”
“Anytime.”
“You’re pretty good at what you do. Not bad.”
He shrugs nonchalantly. “I try.”
“Stay humble.”
“Always,” he exhales, tearing his gaze away. “Do you want to watch a movie?”
A slight grin crosses my face. “I’d love that.”
“Cool. I’ll stream one for us. Spiderman rewatch?”
“Oh my god, yes,” I urge, watching quietly as he shrugs his fully inked, muscular body into a hoodie.
“Go grab a snack and let me know when you’re comfy.”
After returning with Sour Patch Kids and my favorite seltzer water, I switch to my laptop and tell him I’m ready. It feels really nice watching a movie together, even though it’s virtual company. Hearing his occasional chuckles and thoughts is comforting.
When Kaelum joins the VC, I smile contently.
“Hi, Kae,” I chirp.
“Hi, cutie,” he replies happily. “Ooo, we’re watching Spider-Man, I see.”
“We are,” I say, wondering how Kaelum would respond if he knew what I experienced with Lucien earlier.
When we reach the upside-down Spidey and MJ kiss, I swoon.
“That’s a need,” I say.
“IRL?” Lucien asks.
“Absolutely. It doesn’t even have to be raining,” I answer. “Just to experience that kind of kiss is goals.”
“Spandex suit required, though, right?” Kaelum asks, his tone serious.
“For sure,” Lucien states. “I look good in spandex, anyways.”
“Yeah, you do,” Kaelum agrees.
I let myself picture him in spandex, hanging upside down like Spidey. Bursting into happy giggles, I snuggle deeper into my blankets.
“Mmm,” I mumble.
“Sleepy, Lenny?” Kaelum asks softly.
“Mmm,” I sigh again, feeling content, my eyelids becoming heavier by the second.
“Get some rest, princess,” Lucien whispers.
