Chapter 2 Harmoni #2

“Take her friend with her? Nigga, you must don’t know who the fuck I am!

I’m already mad that I had to drive all the way out here to get on this nigga’s ass about pulling a gun on my friend.

I think it would be best if you told that nigga that I’m here to see him and don’t refer to me again.

You gonna fuck around and get the same thing I got for him! ”

My chest instantly tightened. I anticipated Trell going left on Ciara, but he just stared at her in disbelief as he bit his lip.

Moments passed, and nothing was said. They just gave each other deadly stares.

The sight of Diamond infuriated me, and as much as I hated to break up Trell and Ciara’s staring contest, I had to.

“Trell, I really don’t care about none of that.

Untie this bitch. Untie her, and then I’ll leave.

I don’t care what you do with the hoe after I handle her.

My nerves done calmed down since I know she not in here fuckin’ my man, and I’m about to beat her ass again.

This girl done made my life a living hell, and I told this obsessed ass bitch that every time I see her, it’s on sight,” I said, and Ciara co-signed.

In my mind, I wanted to calm myself down, but all I saw was red.

I didn’t want to risk my baby, the pain of losing my son was too heavy last time, but Diamond wouldn’t leave me the fuck alone.

She came for me from every angle and I promised myself that I wasn’t about to let this bitch get a lick in or a kick in off me.

I had to be strategic when beating this bitch.

She had to pay for the shit she did! That’s the only way she would leave me alone.

I also had to remember this bitch and her sister set me up before I even knew I was pregnant this time.

This ass whooping was gone be for me and my baby.

I knew that Diamond couldn’t fuck with me.

“Damn, Harmoni. You cold! The girl is already beat up, but I feel that. Rowdy my nigga and all, but I can promise you that he wouldn’t touch this hoe.

I’m not just telling you that, either. Whatever it takes to get yo’ crazy ass to leave, I just need you to hurry up and get out of here.

She already told us what she been doing to you.

I think you should beat her ass too, but please make this shit quick, then gone the fuck on,” Trell said as he walked over and untied Diamond.

I couldn’t explain what came over me when I saw this bitch.

I knew in my mind that I really should have let it slide because I was pregnant, but this girl had made my life a living hell ever since she exposed Jakari.

Yeah I was conflicted, but seeing her face had me enraged right now.

She was somebody whose ass I was gon’ beat every time I saw her, kidnapped or not.

I knew that fair and square, she couldn’t touch me.

Again, I wasn’t at all concerned about my son’s safety, but I was concerned about hers. I also hated to let her son see me beat her ass again, but he would eventually grow up and forget all about it. I told Ciara not to jump in, just to be cool. She tried to talk me out of it, but my mind was set.

Trell had gotten the rope and tape off her by now, and I was about to whoop her ass.

“Girl, you don’t get enough, huh? I’m ’bout to beat yo’ ass, just like I did the last time, and I owe yo’ ugly ass friend too.

Bitch snuck me with brass knuckles. You hoes know you can’t fuck with me if we fighting straight up.

Trell, you a messy bitch, but watch this.

If I kill one of these hoes, just know it’s all your fault.

And who the fuck is Rowdy?” Diamond said as she walked toward me.

Ciara stepped back out of my way and laughed at what Diamond had just said.

I got in my stance, waiting for Diamond to get close enough.

Never had I been with all that talking and selling wolf tickets.

I let my hands talk for me and never argued when it was time to fight.

As soon as Diamond walked up and threw a punch, I dodged it and hit her with a mean ass five-piece to the face.

She looked just like a bobblehead from the way her head kept flying back.

I didn’t let up; I walked her like a dog in that little ass living room.

She was so dazed that she stopped fighting back.

I dropped her to the floor, and right as I was about to stomp her head, I was lifted off the ground.

“Harmoni, what the fuck are you doing, and how did you know where I was? This shit is crazy. Calm yo’ lil’ ass down. Trell, why the fuck would you let this shit go down, and you know them niggas on the way to get that hoe and her son?” Rowdy said as he placed me on the ground in the hallway.

“Get yo’ fuckin’ hands off me and tell me what’s really going on around here! How did you even get close enough to this bitch to kidnap her? If you fucked this bitch, I swear!” I barked at him as Ciara yelled for him to put me down.

“Man, chill the fuck out. You don’t need to be fighting and doing all this extra shit, especially if you pregnant with my baby! This not even like you. You know better. So, now I guess you a ratchet ass hood bitch like that hoe!” he spat in Diamond’s direction.

“Harmoni? Pregnant with yo’ baby? Mane, what the fuck is all this shit about?” Jakari said as he walked into the cabin and dropped two duffel bags on the floor.

I looked at Ciara, and we wore the same facial expression.

We were both shocked to see Jakari walk through that door, and his timing couldn’t have been worse.

I was so consumed with beating Diamond up that I didn’t stop to wonder if I was being rushed off so an exchange could go down.

Right after Jakari walked in, his brother Jashawn walked in behind him with his gun drawn.

That instantly made Trell pull his gun out.

Jashawn and Jakari walked all the way into the cabin, and Jakari closed the door behind them.

“I’m gon’ give you five seconds to put your gun down, or we gon’ have to see who can use that bitch the fastest,” Trell spat to Jashawn.

“Sounds like a plan to me. I’m know what I’m doing, but do you?” Jashawn returned.

“Man, hell nah! Hold on, Jashawn. Don’t do this shit. You know why I’m here. Let me get my son out of here safely. We can see these niggas at any time! We just not finna have a shootout and my seed right there,” Jakari spoke.

Jashawn still didn’t lower his gun, and neither did Trell. Jakari looked me in my eyes with the saddest face I had ever seen. He didn’t care about his baby momma lying on the ground with a purple eye and knots on her forehead. All he cared about was what he had just heard Rowdy say to me.

“This yo’ new nigga, Harmoni? Are you really pregnant with this nigga’s baby?

You were so mad at me that you allowed yo’ nigga to snatch my son like this?

You really fuckin’ off with my opp for real?

Tell me something, ’cause I’m confused, and I know this is not the woman I love.

You would have never done no shit like this, no matter how bad I hurt you.

Damn, I was really set up!” Jakari cried.

“Nigga, shut the fuck up! You need to find somebody else to love because she’s spoken for! Don’t worry about what me and mine have going on. She didn’t know nothing about this shit. Yo’ only concern needs to be my bread because if it’s not all there, shit finna get real!” Rowdy spoke.

“Jakari, you still worried about this bitch while yo’ son and I been held hostage?

She doesn’t want you! You need to wake the fuck up!

I done got kidnapped and beat the fuck up behind you, but all you care about is Harmoni, and she has clearly moved on.

Tender ass nigga, you’re a fuckin’ loser.

You just gon’ let niggas take from you, and you not gon’ do shit!

You are an embarrassment, ol’ soft ass nigga.

Anybody else would have laid these niggas down behind their family!

I ain’t letting this slide. They took me and my son!

” Diamond yelled as she stood to her feet.

Jakari told Diamond to shut up and that they would talk in the car. He said his main concern was getting her home safely. I could tell that Diamond was one of Jakari’s biggest mistakes. It was all in his tone when he spoke to her.

Ciara now stood in the corner with her hand over her mouth, and her eyes were full of fear in anticipation of what would happen next. I felt the exact same way. I had a bad feeling in my gut that shit wasn’t going to end well.

Rowdy told me to stay in the hallway, and he walked into the living room to grab both duffel bags.

He placed them on the couch, then he flipped through all the stacks of money.

I wasn’t sure how much Jakari owed him, but that was a lot of money.

I didn’t even know J was touching that much bread.

I guess I was really na?ve when it came to the men I chose to love.

I realized that I really didn’t know either of those niggas.

Trell still had his gun pointed at Jashawn and vice versa. Them niggas looked like they were doing the mannequin challenge by the way they were stuck in place, just waiting for the next man to make a move.

“That’s all of it?” Trell asked Rowdy without taking his eye off his opponent.
