Chapter 1 #2

Calling the police was not an option. I knew who had my family.

I just had to find the bitch! What I didn’t know was how she knew where and when to find us.

That hoe was so jealous of Moni, and it was critical that I get to them asap.

I wouldn’t put shit past that dirty ass hoe.

I treated her son well when I snatched them, so I could only hope that she would do the same to mine.

Either way, this bitch was about to die!

I jumped in the car with Trell and my pops, and Trell called Taylor on speaker.

“What’s up, stranger ass nigga? Long time no hear,” she answered.

“Girl, you wanted a nigga to chase you. You know that ain’t my type of time. Where you at, though? I’m trying to link!” Trell responded.

“Nigga, you started ignoring me! I’m out of pocket right now, but I might be free tonight. What you tryna do?” she asked.

“Yo’ memory a lil’ different from mine. You tryna go to pound town or what? You know yo’ ass miss this. You went crazy after that first link.” Trell fake laughed.

“Hell yeah, I am. Shid, I’m gon’ make time for you tonight, Daddy! Send me the addy, and I’ll call you when I’m on my way. Don’t start back ignoring me either!” Taylor advised.

Trell ended the call as my pops sat beside him with his fist balled and veins popping out his neck.

“Bitch ass nigga, my grandson got snatched, and you sitting here talking ’bout going to pound town with some funky bitch! You just sat yo’ tender ass up here and caked with a bitch in my muthafuckin’ face after someone snatched what’s mine. I should rock yo’ shit right now!” my pops spat.

“Damn, old school! Calm the fuck down! That’s the sister of the bitch who took Harmoni and Cadence. I’m not trying to fuck her! I’m gon’ kill that hoe if she don’t take me to my nephew and his momma!” Trell said.

“Shit, tell me something, ’cause I was about to say! My bad, my boy. I’m on edge like a bitch right now. I’m glad I didn’t fuck you up over a simple misunderstanding,” my pops joked, causing us all to laugh.

That was short lived because reality kicked back in, and my family was still in the hands of this crazy bitch.

I told Trell to drive around to the front of the hospital because I needed to see the security camera footage.

They would have to show me a license plate number or something.

Diamond couldn’t have snatched my son and fiancée on her own.

She had to have an accomplice, and I needed to know who it was so they could get smoked too.

I knew she had to have a nigga helping her.

We all jumped out of the car and quickly walked into the building.

When we entered, there were signs directing us around the hospital that led us to the security room.

I felt my pants pockets to make sure all my money and my wallet were still there.

People could be sheisty, so I had to check.

I knocked on the door to the security room, and some big, buff ass nigga opened it.

As he stood in the frame, I approached him as politely as I could.

“Hey, my mans. I was wondering if you could show me some security footage from earlier today. I need to see if you have cameras pointed toward the highway right there.”

“I’m sorry, but I can’t show you that. If something happened, you need to go to the police, and then we can release the footage to them,” the topflight security ass nigga stated.

“Time is something that I don’t have right now. I need to see those cameras. I can make sure you are handsomely compensated,” I told him as I pulled out about ten crisp hundred dollar bills.

“Or we can make sure you have a fucked up day. You in the right place, and I’m sure they have a bed for you here, if you feel where I’m coming from,” my pops spat.

The topflight security looked at me and the cash in my hand, then he looked at my pops and Trell.

If he knew like we knew, his best bet was to get this money.

After a few seconds of contemplating, he allowed us into the room.

I handed him the bread and dapped him up as I entered.

There were at least a hundred monitors and they all showed different angles.

I walked over to the wall that had the front side of the hospital showing and found the monitor that had a view of Harmoni’s Jeep still on side of the road, but tow trucks were now behind it.

I would deal with that later. My main focus was seeing who the accomplice to this shiesty ass half dead bitch was.

“This the view I need right here. Take it back about three hours,” I requested.

As the security replayed the footage, I took my phone out to record the screen.

We watched as several cars passed. After about fifteen minutes of nothing, we finally saw the Jeep pull near the highway.

Watching the video was so damn hard. The driver of the SUV had damn near flipped the Jeep over.

We watched as Diamond and two niggas jumped out of the SUV and rushed to the Jeep.

Diamond grabbed my son’s car seat, and the other two niggas snatched Moni out.

Before they could drive off, I saw that chick Journei rushing to the scene on foot.

When she approached the accident, she exchanged words with Diamond, then she ran back toward the hospital.

I asked the security to zoom in on the plate number, but he advised that there were no plates on the SUV.

I was livid. I looked at my pops, and I could tell he was on fire.

I watched sweat beads form on his head as veins popped up on his forehead and neck.

All I could do was pat his back to let him know that shit was going to be alright.

We already had a good amount of information, and Trell was going to get even more out of Taylor tonight.

I thanked dude for letting us see the footage, and we headed out of the security room.

“Wasn’t that the lil’ nurse bitch on the camera that ran to the accident? Did she report the shit?” Trell blurted as soon as we were in the hall.

“I just said that shit in my head. Shid, let’s head up there and ask the bitch. I would say that she did because when I woke up, the paramedics were at the Jeep, checking me out. But then again, we were right outside a hospital.”

We took the elevator up to labor and delivery. As soon as we got off, all eyes were on us. Three black niggas on a labor and delivery floor with no pregnant lady. We walked to the desk, and I immediately recognized one of the nurses who had helped us.

“Hi, Mr. Thomas. I thought our precious little boy went home this morning. I’m surprised to see you here. How can I help ya?” she asked in a chipper tone.

“Yes, ma’am, he did. I just came back to ask Journei a few questions. She took really good care of us. There were just a few things I forgot to ask. You know how it is being a first time father,” I responded.

“Yes, I do understand. Journei had to take a sick day. I can help you with any concerns you may have. I have six kids of my own and five grands. I know a thing or two.” She smiled.

At that point, I was annoyed and pissed the fuck off. It was a lot of fishy shit going on around there. That hoe Journei was perfectly fine when she walked us out earlier, but after watching my family get snatched, the hoe needed a sick day. Hell nah! I was gon’ see about that shit too.

“Thanks for the offer, but I will come back at another time. No offense. She was just the person who cared for my son, and she’s built a camaraderie with him and his mother.

I will take one of her business cards, though,” I said as I pointed to several cards that lined the desk with different names on them.

I grabbed the card, and we hopped back on the elevator. We all spoke about how weird it was for Journei to have left work. I got back in the car with a heavy heart. I wasn’t scared of shit, but I was scared of what may happen to my woman and my baby boy.

My pops looked at me with sympathy in his eyes.

“Hold yo’ muthafuckin’ head up. We gon’ find this Taylor hoe and see what the fuck she knows, find this Journei bitch and see why she ran off, then we gon’ find this dead bitch Diamond and make that fake shit she pulled a reality!

We gon’ get Moni and Cadence back. Don’t even sweat that!

That’s on my life, and you can count on that,” my pops stated.

When he spoke, you had no choice but to listen. He never made a promise he ain’t keep, and the streets could vouch for that.
