Chapter 20

Greer was walking through their neighborhood with Amaya who was in her stroller.

Every day since she found out she was pregnant, she started walking.

She had gained fifteen pounds so far that she hoped fell off after birth.

She was eight months pregnant with Amari’s first son.

He was ecstatic and so was she. Ever since she confronted him about Klover, her source told her he hadn’t been in to see her once.

He wasn’t always in his phone anymore. Amari had told on himself.

She knew her man very well—a little too well.

A car pulled alongside them. She turned, seeing a black G Wagon.

“Hey, sexy!” Amari greeted, causing Greer to blush.

“Hey, baby!” He parked alongside the curb. He got out, walking towards them. He kissed Greer on the lips.

“Look, Moo, there go Daddy!” He kneeled in front of her, kissing her cheeks. He picked her up, tossing her in the air. Her laughter made her parents laugh.

“You wanna go with Daddy, Moo?” Amari asked, walking towards his truck.

“Come on, Mama.” Amaya looked back for Greer, causing her to laugh.

“I’m coming, Stink.” She got in the passenger seat. She laid her head back, allowing the cool air to hit her body. Amari put the stroller in the back. He got in the truck, pulling off.

“When did you get back?”

“I just got here less than a hour ago. I missed y’all.” He reached across the console, rubbing her stomach.

“We missed you too! Can you believe her first birthday is tomorrow?”

“Nah, I was thinking about that earlier. That shit crazy. We been together for a while now.”

“Yeah, we have. They’ve been the greatest years of my life.”

Amari drove the short distance back to their home. He got out, opening Greer’s door. Then, he got Amaya out who had nodded off that fast.

“She pitiful.” Greer unlocked the door, stepping in. She walked upstairs to their bedroom. She undressed then turned the shower on. She got in, quickly washing up. She got out, wrapping a towel around her body. Amari held the bottle of lotion in his hands as he awaited her.

She smiled at his thoughtfulness. He catered to her every want and need. He already did that in the past, now he was overbearing. She stood in front of him. He grabbed the towel, and it fell around her feet.

“You so beautiful, baby.” He rubbed lotion into her chest first, making his way down her arms. He laid her down on her back. He continued to rub her down.

“Mari.” She moaned as he sucked her toes into his mouth. He spread her legs, licking up and down her dripping center. His tongue darted in and out of her as he held her legs in the air.

“Babyyy!” She moaned as her eyes rolled to the back of her head. He licked her asshole while feverishly stroking her clit. She gripped the back of his head as her body spasmed.

He slurped her nipple into his mouth as he slapped his dick on her throbbing clit. “How you want it?” He asked, wanting her to be comfortable. She was all baby.

“Lay down.”

He laid on his back. She squatted over him with her back to him. He grabbed his dick, pushing it inside of her. He held her waist as she bounced up and down on his dick.

“Got damn, baby, yeah just like that!” He held her breast for support but she didn’t seem to need it.

He gripped a handful of her hair, yanking her head back as he thrust into her as she came down on him.

Praises of approval escaped her mouth as he filled her up.

His other hand came down, smacking her ass repeatedly.

“You gon’ cum for daddy again?” He asked as he neared his peak.

“Mm hm,” she moaned. He held her in place while he thrust into her until they were cumming together.

“Moo, your momma did so good on your party!” Promise spoke to her niece, who was holding onto Greer’s leg.

Her party was Care Bare themed. Clouds decorated the ceilings.

A oversized 3 D rainbow split through the clouds.

Oversized Care Bears were the back drop for the Photo Booth.

She had painting stations set up for the kids.

Promise picked Amaya up, snapping pictures of them.

“Thank you, friend I’m just glad it’s over. Now I’m ready to kick her brother out.”

“I still can’t get over all these kids we done popped out. I got two, you got two, Ace has one, and Carter gon’ be pregnant again in a minute.” Promise said while Carter mugged her.

“Don’t you dare put that on me. I love my baby but I don’t want another one right now.” Carter kissed the top of Niamh’s head, who was strapped against her body.

“I’m surprised Ace ain’t already,” Greer added.

“Birth control, baby. I’m in control this go around,” Ace said as a matter of fact.

Promise scoffed while Greer and Carter laughed.

“Fuck y’all!” Ace laughed as well.

“P, watch her for me I need some water.” Greer walked towards the food trucks that were outside of the building.

She ordered a water slush. She was headed back inside when the sight of Amari talking to a woman and a little boy caught her attention.

She recognized Klover. After Star told her about his frequent pop-ups to Underground, she’d done her research.

Amari looked up, and he waved her over. She walked towards them, even though she didn’t want to.

“Baby, this is my friend, Klover. Klover this is my wife, Greer,” Amari introduced.

“Hi, it’s nice to finally meet you! I brought the baby a gift. I just wanted to drop it off.” Klover was all smiles. She attempted to pass Greer the bag but she left her hanging. Amari took the bag as Klover’s smile fell.

“Take him in there, Amari, so we can talk,” Greer demanded.

Amari took Keyon inside the party, leaving them alone.

“Are you fucking my husband?” Greer cut straight to the point.

“No we’re just friends.”

“You and I both know that’s a lie.” Greer called bullshit.

Klover wished she hadn’t of come but Amari insisted. He had walked her right into the lion’s den.

“We’re not sleeping together. That’s on my son.”

“But you want him, right?” Greer asked what she already knew. They locked eyes, just staring at one another.

“I think we should leave. I’m sorry for coming.”

Greer walked off, leaving her standing there. She walked in the building, finding Amari who was playing with Keyon and Amaya.

“She said they’re leaving.” She grabbed Amaya’s hand, preparing to walk away.

“Why?”

“Why don’t you go ask your girlfriend why she’s leaving. I ain’t her keeper.” She walked off with Amaya.

Amari walked Keyon out and was back within two minutes. He found Greer who was talking to one of her childhood friends.

“Can we talk?”

“No, let’s sing happy birthday so we can go.”

“Why you being like that?”

“Because I want you to get the fuck out my face, Amari, before I cuss you out in front of all these people,” she warned.

She was done letting him play in her face.

She walked off. He grabbed her arm and she snatched away from him.

She walked around, gathering up everybody.

Everyone gathered around the table while Amari held Amaya. Greer stood beside them.

“Happy birthday to you! Happy birthday to you! Happy birthday to youu…” everyone sang.

When it was time to blow out her candles, Greer and Amari helped. Greer cut the cake and laid out slices for everyone to grab.

“Is Aunt baby ready to go?” Greer’s aunt cooed at Amaya, who was all smiles.

“Thank you. I need a break.” She huffed. Amari ran his hand over his waves.

“Go walk them out. Auntie call me if you want me to come get her.” Greer hugged Amaya, kissing her cheeks.

“I will, baby. She’ll be okay.”

Amari walked them out while she went around thanking everyone for coming.

Once everyone was gone, the cleaners had everything down in under thirty minutes.

She got behind the wheel of her G Wagon.

Amari loaded all of the gifts in both of their cars.

When he was done, she pulled off without a word to him.
