Chapter 7 Cecilia
CECILIA
Leo and I held hands the entire time on our long journey back home. Our first date was perfect, and I couldn’t be happier that my wish came true. I’ve always loved Leo. He’s an incredible man—so compassionate, loving, and sexy as sin. Now he’s mine.
As soon as we entered my house, our dogs were all over us, giving us kisses and showing how much they missed us.
“Did you miss me, girl?” I asked.
Picking up Oreo, her tail swung swiftly, slapping my arm, and her tongue licked all over my face. I giggled, giving her a hug.
“I missed you, too,” I said, placing a kiss on her head, then placed her on the floor.
I watched how Leo was with Skip, and I couldn’t help but smile. Leo’s eyes were filled with love as he crouched down to pet Skip then rub his belly. Leo looked up at me, our gaze meeting.
“What?” he asked, his cheeks turning pink as he blushed.
“Nothing…just admiring you and Skip.” I grinned.
Leo’s lips curled up, returning with a smile, softening the strong features of his face.
“Well, I’m going to go,” Nina interrupted my moment with Leo, smirking as she stared at me.
“Thanks again for watching our pups,” I said.
“Of course, they were good kids.” She chuckled and gave me a hug. “Call me.” Nina winked. I knew that she wanted all the details of my date with Leo, especially since we ended up staying overnight at the hotel.
I nodded, my cheeks heated up. “I’ll call you later,” I told her as she waved good-bye and left the house.
I turned around after locking the front door and Leo pinned me against it, his lips capturing mine in a searing kiss that sent a surge of desire in my blood.
He slowly pulls away and cups my face, caressing my skin with his thumbs.
His blue eyes seared into mine like he was looking into my soul, searching for something.
“Everything okay?” I asked.
“What are we doing?” he asked.
My brows furrowed. “What do you mean?” I was confused, unsure what he was getting at.
He sighed. “I’m old enough to be your father. What would your father think? Or other people?”
“I don’t care what anyone thinks.” I placed my hands on his. “I’ve had a crush on you for so long, Leo. You don’t know how happy you’ve made me over the last couple of weeks since we decided to go on this holidate.”
I lowered our hands, gentle squeezing his.
“Cece, you’re so beautiful, intelligent, and kind-hearted,” he started, the corners of my lips tugging up at the corners. “I can’t be a match for men your age. I’m sure you’ll find someone who you’d fall in love with and won’t want to be with me—”
“There’s no one who could compare with you, baby. You don’t need to worry about me leaving you. I’m never going to do that. I’m in it for the long haul,” I reassured. “You’re not the only one who’s insecure.”
“Really?” he asked, his eyes widened.
“Yes,” I said. “You’re handsome, selfless, smart, and I’m scared that you’ll find someone else who has more experience than me…someone who would take you from me.”
“Baby, I won’t let that happen.” He grinned, wrapping his arms around me and pulling me against his body. “Like I mentioned last night, you’re mine now. I still have insecurities, especially after what happened with my ex.”
I circled my arms around his neck. “Don’t worry, okay?”
He nodded. “Okay.”
“Plus, I love a man in uniform.” I smirked then winked at him.
“Oh really?” The corners of his lips tugged up in a sly grin while a glint mischief flashed in his eyes.
I pulled him down, our lips finding one another again, this time in a slow, sensual kiss.
He licked the seam of my lips, then I parted my lips, moaning into the kiss.
This kiss was a reassurance, a promise to one another and this new relationship.
His tongue slid into my mouth, curling with mine before he fisted my hair and tilting my head, deepening the kiss.
As we made out, my heart rate sped up and desire flowed through my veins.
I pulled back to release our kiss, both of us trying to catch our breaths.
“As much as I don’t want to, Skip and I should get going,” Leo said.
I nodded. “No worries.” I gave him a lopsided smile, trying not to look sad that he was leaving.
“We’ll see each other again this week, okay?” he asked.
“I’d love that.”
“I don’t think I’ll be able to stay away from you too long.” He placed another kiss on my lips, then smiled. “I’ll see you soon, baby.”
“I can’t wait,” I told him before he and Skip left my house.
I looked down at Oreo, who was looking up at me with sadness in her eyes. She missed Skip already like how I missed Leo.
“I know, girl. I miss them, too. We’ll see them again soon, okay?” I told my pup as I smiled down at her, then she wagged her tail. “Come on, Oreo. Let’s hang out and I’ll tell you and Nina all about my date with Leo.”
She hopped between steps, showing how happy she was as she followed me to my room. I changed out of my gown and into an oversized t-shirt and shorts. Pulling out my phone, I called my best friend.
“Hey, Cece, I’ve been waiting for you to call me,” Nina answered.
I chuckled. “Sorry.”
“Now tell me all that happened on your date,” she pressed.
“It was amazing…well, except on the way there. Leo told me that we couldn’t do anything because of my dad,” I told her.
“But, when did it all change?” she asked. “I saw the way you both looked at one another. You could definitely tell something happened between you two.” There was a playfulness in her tone.
“When we got to the event, he was jealous. He didn’t like the way guys looked at me or when they talked to me,” I explained.
“You should have seen how possessive he got when this one guy, Kevin, who was in the academy with Leo, started talking to me. Kevin creeped me out though. He seemed like a real asshole.”
“I wish I was there.” Nina chuckled.
“Then we kissed…then decided to stay at the hotel because of the storm—”
“Mmhmm,” she murmured.
“It was storming,” I defended, laughing. “Anyway, then we fucked.”
“And?”
“It was fucking amazing!” I squealed. “Leo’s amazing, and I haven’t felt this way about any guy before.”
“I can’t believe my little Cece gave up her v-card to her fantasy guy. Lucky girl,” Nina said with a naughty tone.
“I can’t believe I finally did.” I sighed. “It was definitely worth the wait and we didn’t regret it at all. He told me that I was his.”
“I’m happy for you,” Nina told me.
“Thanks, Nina.”
“So, how are you guys going to tell your dad?” she asked.
I let out another sigh. “I don’t know. That’s something we’re trying to figure out.”
I hope Leo and I could figure it out soon, and my dad would be okay with my relationship with his best friend.
