Chapter 8 Leo
LEO
It’s been a month of Cecilia and I sneaking around.
I feel like I’m a teenager again. It’s been exhilarating with the fear of getting caught by Michael, and I haven’t felt this alive since I was younger.
It’s all because of Cecilia. She makes me so happy, and I can’t get enough of her.
We do our best to see each other after work to have dinner and if we have days off together.
This week, though, our schedules haven’t lined up and we haven’t seen each other for five days.
I’ve missed her so much, but I was going to see her soon.
We both just got off work and have the weekend off.
It worked out perfectly. She was sleeping over my place tonight, bringing Oreo over so Skip can hang out with her.
Our pups are too cute and love each other, just as much as I was starting to fall in love with Cecilia.
I’ve always loved her, but that type of love was not the love that I felt for her now.
This was the type of love that some people were afraid of, the type where you give your entire being to your soul mate—and I think Cecilia is that for me.
I pulled out the salmon and vegetables from the fridge for our dinner tonight. Skip sat down, looking up at me as I washed the zucchini, summer squash, and potatoes.
“Are you excited, boy? Our favorite girls are coming to visit us.” I grinned before dried off the vegetables.
Before I could start prepping and cutting the veggies, the doorbell rang, echoing in the house.
Skip barked, running toward the front door.
I followed behind him and looked through the peephole.
Smiling wide, I opened the door, face-to-face with the woman of my dreams. Oreo rushed inside and ran around with Skip.
I pulled Cecilia inside, kicking the door shut as I hooked my arms around her waist and tugged her toward my body, her arms draping around my neck.
She tilted her head up, gazing up at me with adoration, her chocolate brown eyes sparkling as she flashed that beautiful smile of hers. Butterflies fluttered in my stomach and my heart melted.
“Hi, baby. I missed you,” I told her.
“I missed you, too,” she said before I leaned down and captured her lips with mine.
Her touch and kisses sparked something inside me that made me feel alive, awakening my senses. My cock quickly hardened, a bulge forming in the front of my pants and pressing against her belly. Only Cecilia had that effect on me.
Cecilia moaned into the kiss, then our tongues twisted around one another.
I kissed her like it’s been months since I saw her.
I needed my fix before I could pull back and release our lip lock.
Her hands ran through my hair, her nails scraping along my scalp.
A shiver went down my spine and a low growl rumbled in my chest.
My hands lowered to her ass, cupping and squeezing her plump cheeks, earning me another one of her moans again.
That sensual sound caused my cock to twitch, aching to be released and taken care of by only her.
We made out, taking our time. My lips familiarized with how soft her lips were, how slick her tongue was, and trying to ingrain this moment and the way she tasted.
I reluctantly pulled away when I heard her stomach growling, then smiled against her lips.
“I think we should get some food in you, baby. You’ll need your energy later.” I winked, her cheeks blushing.
I admired her features; how adorable she looked when she’s embarrassed and shy.
“I’m going to finish making dinner. You can pour yourself a glass of wine and relax.” I tucked a strand of hair behind her ear.
“Can I help you, baby?” she asked, looking up at me with big, doe eyes.
How could I say no to her when she looks so innocent and asked nicely? This little girl has me wrapped around her finger and she doesn’t know it yet.
“Of course, baby. Come on,” I said. My large hand envelopes her petite one and I led her into the kitchen.
We’re maneuvering around the kitchen seamlessly as if we’ve cooked together for years. I glanced at Cecilia as she finished chopping the vegetables, and a sense of calmness washes over me. This domestic lifestyle with her by my side felt comfortable. I could picture my future with her.
The doorbell rang, startling both of us.
“Were you expecting someone?” Cecilia asked.
I shook my head. “No. Did your dad mention he was coming by?”
“No,” she shook her head as she responded. “I wouldn’t have come by if I knew Dad would be visiting you.”
The doorbell rang again, and I headed for the door. I looked through the peephole and my eyes widened as I pressed my lips together into a thin line. Opening the door, I glare at the woman standing in front of me—my ex-wife, Kristin.
“Kristin, what are you doing here?” I asked, keeping my voice low. I didn’t want Cecilia to hear that my ex was here, and I didn’t want Kristin to know that Cecilia was here. She might tell Michael, and I’m not ready to tell him about my relationship with his daughter just yet.
“Visiting you, Leo, of course. I’ve missed you,” she said, taking a step forward.
I took a step back, not wanting to be anywhere close to this woman, but she swiftly moved forward, coming into the house.
“We’ve been divorced for three years and now you miss me?” I let out a sarcastic laugh, shaking my head. “You’re unbelievable.”
“Everything I did before the divorce was a huge mistake, and I’ve changed. I want you back, to have another chance with you.” Her green eyes were pleading.
“No fucking way. We were over the moment you decided to spread your legs open and cheat on me. Now leave,” I sneered, not wanting to hear any bullshit or see any crocodile tears. She’s trying to manipulate me and make me feel bad for her, but it’s not going to work.
“I’m sorry. We’re good together…admit it, Leo. I shouldn’t have left you.” Kristin’s voice was getting more annoying the more she spoke.
She stepped forward again, but I backed up, hitting my back against the wall.
Suddenly, she caught me off guard as she pressed her lips on mine in a kiss, my body tensing.
I pushed Kristin away before Cecilia sees anything, but it’s too late.
Cecilia’s eyes were wide as saucers. She gasped then turned on her heel, headed back to the kitchen with hurried steps.
Kristin watched Cecilia walk away, then turned to me with a questioning look on her face.
“Is that Cecilia?” she asked, her eyes brows pulled to the center.
I put a good distance between me and my ex-wife, pointing at the front door.
“Leave,” I ordered, my voice boomed in the foyer, avoiding answering her question. “I don’t ever want to see you again. We’re divorced and never going to get together again.”
“You rather be with that child?” Kristin scoffed.
“Yes, she’s more of a woman than you ever were. Now get out of my house.” My tone was clipped and I was done talking to her.
Kristin huffed, leaving the house. “Wait until I tell Michael about how his little girl is with his best friend.” She had an evil look on her face.
“You wouldn’t dare—”
“I may pay him a visit to tell him. If I can’t be with you, then Cecilia can’t be with you, either,” Kristin sneered.
“Go ahead and tell Michael. Why would he believe you, especially with how you treated me? You’re a liar and cheater. Now get out.” I shut the door as soon as her ass was out of my home, locked it, then went into the kitchen. I needed to check on my girl and make sure she’s okay.
I scanned around the room, but she wasn’t here.
“Cece?” I called out. “Baby, where are you?”
I checked the living room, dining area, and my office on the first floor, but she wasn’t around. I went into the backyard and noticed the side door was cracked open. I rushed to the door and her car was gone from the driveway. Cecilia left me. Fuck.
