17. Deja McCoy #2
“We asked everything, but this. Did you get fucked yet?” Lyric wanted to know.
When she asked that, all I could do was smile. Since Nico was falling asleep, and Selah was knocked out, the girls couldn’t scream the way they wanted to. They released low screams, coming closer to me, wanting to know the full details.
“What’s the dick hitting on? All the girls want to know,” Dream stated, making me laugh.
“Ya’ll, out of this world! I swear I’m not just saying that, either.
I’m talking the kind of dick that will take your fuckin breath away.
He can eat, and he can fuck. That dick is monstrous in size.
Had my ass in that bed, running. I thought that when I was dealing with Hitta, that I had it bad.
The way I’m stuck on Wolf, it’s not even a comparison on how I felt about Hitta.
Maybe I’m being delusional, but I really like him,” I expressed.
“I know you do. I can feel it. My only question to you is, what are you going to do once those feelings for him really start coming in? I’m only asking that because nothing about Wolf gives that he’s the kind of man whose woman is going to be dancing at the strip club every night.
Not that I think he’s controlling or wouldn’t support anything that you do.
I watched him the other night in the club, and he looked proud to see you up there doing your thing.
It’s just with all that money on his end, all that power, he don’t gotta have a woman that’s dancing.
You’ll be doing it solely because you chose to.
What’s going to be your choice?” Lyric asked me something real.
“I can’t say,” I responded. All eyes were on me. They were waiting for me to continue.
“Ya’ll, I’m only twenty- three years old.
If I stop dancing, what the hell else am I supposed to do?
Just sit at home all day, and wait for him to come back?
Even while I was out, healing, taking time away from the club, I felt like I was losing my mind.
I felt like I needed to be doing something.
I got a few years left to give the club before even thinking about retiring.
Ya’ll was at the club the other night. Ya’ll saw that love I was getting.
I’m not ready to walk away from that. I’m in my prime,” I shared, and they nodded their heads, agreeing with me.
Eden cleared her throat though, so she could say something.
“Deja, we’ve known each other our whole lives.
I know where you come from. All the shit that you’ve dealt with from your mom.
You grew up hard with her. A lot of trauma that you still carry.
Fresh out of high school, and you started dancing.
You’ve been in survival mode for so long.
I feel like Wolf is the kind of nigga that’ll take you out of survival mode.
He’ll bring peace to your life. You just asked us about fate, right?
What if your fate is getting with him? I ain’t saying to quit your job.
Finish working, and hustling, but if it turns into something where that man is genuinely good to you, loves you, and wants to give you a soft life, bitch let him.
If anyone deserves for life to soften up a little bit for them, it’s you,” Eden finished.
I heard, and received everything that she was saying to me, but knew that it wasn’t something I was ready for. Right now, I was just gone off dick, and overly in lust with Wolf. We hadn’t reached love yet. I wasn’t sure what the future would hold, and I wasn’t ready for it yet.
I stuck around with the girls for about another hour.
Eden long gone took Selah from me and laid her in her crib.
Nico was knocked out, and I had him placed in his car seat.
Now, here I was, walking towards the back, so that I could get Nari.
She was sleeping at the foot of the bed, with a throw blanket wrapped around her. She was knocked out.
I went over to her, getting down on my knees, and smoothed down her long hair that was resting down her back.
I loved my little sister with every breath in me.
It truly pained me that she was going through this.
I couldn’t wait for her to go back to the funny, happy person that she was before having a child.
I planted kisses on her face, and while I was doing that, her eyes fluttered open. She looked around confused for a little bit and then woke up.
“You’re tired. You want me to take Nico home with me tonight?” I asked her.
“It’s okay. I have to take him to his doctor’s appointment in the morning,” she let me know.
“Okay. Your 18th birthday is coming up. What you want to do for it? Where you want to go? I’ll take you wherever,” I said, and she gave me a small smile.
“I don’t know, Deja. I haven’t thought about it,” she said, standing up from the bed.
She fixed the bed up, folded the throw blanket and stretched.
There was so much more that I wanted to say, but I didn’t.
She was so quick to snap these days, and I didn’t want to set her off.
I did, however, pull her to me once I stood up.
I wrapped my arms around her and placed a couple of kisses on her forehead.
“You know I love you more than anything, right?” I just needed her to know that I did.
“I know. I love you more,” she said to me.
I eventually let her go, and we walked out of the room together. We made it out front, where all the women hugged Nari, tried to pour into her, and let her know that everything was going to be okay. After that, I grabbed Nico’s car seat, with him inside, and we left.
We made it to my car, where I placed him in the back. I quickly came around, got in the driver’s seat, started the car up, and pulled off. I tried making small talk with Nari during the ride to our mom’s house, but she wasn’t opened to talking much, so I let her be.
