Chapter 28

LEXIE

Ipeel my eyes open, squinting when the bright sunshine basks against my face.

Fuck. What time is it?

l groggily slap my hand against the nightstand, in search of my phone.

Damnit, I must’ve forgot to plug it in because it’s dead.

I go to turn over and everything fucking aches, reminding me of last night.

Fuck. Reed.

He’s not lying next to me in the bed. Then it hits me, that smell.

Coffee and bacon.

I groan as I sit up in bed. I peel the sheet off of my body and assess the damage he did to my body. Bruised bite marks and hickeys cover the insides of my thighs and hips. I close my eyes and take a deep breath before scanning my eyes over the bed.

We must’ve passed out before I could change the sheets because there are spots of red covering the light pink fabric. I feel my cheeks flame as the memories replay in my head.

I gave Reed my virginity and let him cum inside of me.

Holy shit. My heart begins to race.

I should be spiraling over this right now, but I’m not. Even though that was the first time I’ve ever had sex, I don’t think it could’ve gone any better.

Reed was gentle with me at first. I could feel him wanting to lose control, but he didn’t. Not until I asked him to mark me and claim me as his. Now, there’s food waiting for me and that tugs at my heart.

I jump out of bed, throw on a T-shirt and some pink pajama shorts, putting my phone on the charger before I hunt for Reed.

I open the door and glance in the kitchen.

He is standing in front of the stove with no shirt on. I take the time to admire his back. Like almost everywhere else on his body, it's covered in beautiful ink.

He’s wearing fucking grey sweatpants that hang low on his hips. I squeeze my thighs together at the sight.

I jump when his voice breaks me from my thoughts, “You’re more than welcome to get a closer view. I’d say I don’t bite but your thighs say otherwise.” His gorgeous green eyes darken as he turns to face me and admires my legs.

I clear my throat. “What time is it?”

He pulls his phone out of his pocket, “Eleven thirty.”

“Fuck,” I groan. “I’m supposed to go see Lainey and take her lunch.”

“Go get dressed, I’ll make a couple extra breakfast burritos and take you over there.” He points the spatula at me and winks before tending to the food.

Damn if that look doesn’t make me want to drop to my knees and suck him off right now. I shake the thought out of my head. “Okay. I won’t be long.”

“Take your time. I still need to finish the potatoes.” He says over his shoulder and before I turn around he says, “Oh can you wear that pink flowery dress or whatever the fuck it is in your closet.”

I tilt my head and put my hand on my hip, “You’ve gone through my closet and know what clothes I have?”

He smirks that devilish smirk that I love so much, “Honeybee, I’ve gone through every inch of this apartment. I know where every single thing is.”

I fold my lips into each other trying to hide my smirk before saying, “Everything?”

He tilts his head back, “Every. Thing.” He bites his bottom lip.

“You know, that should scare me.” I try to keep a straight face.

“It doesn’t?” He smirks.

“No.” I smile and turn to walk towards the bedroom, “Pretty sure I’m broken.” I shrug.

Not even twenty minutes later, I’m showered and ready to go.

I threw my hair up and put on the dress he wanted me to wear and my favorite baggy pink and black hoodie that has MGK scribbled across the front. Lainey’s apartment is usually cold. Of course I had to throw on the perfume he loves so much.

Reed has managed to finish the burritos by the time I make it out of the bedroom.

We decided it would be easier to take his car with all the food and honestly I don’t think I could handle riding on the back of his bike with how badly I’m hurting right now.

“So, uh. I haven’t told Lainey about us. I don’t know how we should approach this when we get there.” I say picking at my nails.

“Pretty sure she knows.”

I whip my head towards him as we pull up to their apartment complex. “How would she know?”

He puts the car in park and turns to face me. “She’s dating my best friend. Pretty sure they tell each other everything.”

He reaches down and grabs the bag of burritos and points to me. “Do not touch that door handle.”
