CHAPTER 16
"My mother died but what was the most vexing thing is she didn't blame them at all. And I couldn't understand a thing that happened back then. But one thing for sure was that I despise them all."
"I was left alone and what's worst was that the people shunned me away like I'm a daughter of some devil. Even god didn't hear my prayers. I became a beggar and went from town to town but no one accepted me. People were disgusted by me and even beat me up for no reason.
I wanted to die but then I also wanted revenge because I couldn't understand why people are so cruel towards me when I didn't even do anything wrong."
"What did I do wrong to deserve that kind of treatment? Wasn't I a human like them? Just why?"
"In the end, I live in the forest and survive on my own. I barely escape from the clutches of the monster. I was so desperate to get my revenge that I pushed myself too hard and despised humans in the process. I was gripped by sadness and anger that I turned to the darkness. When I realized that,

Cruella was shocked to hear that. She stared intently at Sera's face and at her clothes which looked oddly familiar.
Wasn't Sera's clothes the same one Evangeline wore when she disappeared?
Cruella was so shocked that she grabbed Sera's shoulder and stared closely at her face. She squinted her eyes.
Sera was stunned and her face flushed red like a tomato at the proximity.
"E... Evangeline! You're Evangeline!" Cruella was overjoyed and hugged Sera tightly while jumping like a child who received a bunch of candy.
Sera's eyes widened and was stumped. She was confused at first but when she realized what Cruella called her. She knew that this body belonged to Cruella's friend or something.
Suddenly, Cruella stopped and narrowed her eyes while glaring daggers at Sera that shook the latter's soul.
"How dare you take my Evangeline's body! Give her back to me!" Cruella bellowed and Sera jumped like a scaredy-cat.
Sera was guilty and at the same time gripped with fear. She swallowed nervously and stuttered, "C... Cruella, I... I don't know how to get out of this body!" Sera yelled anxiously.
"What?!" Cruella stop shaking Sera realizing that it's also Evangeline's precious body.
Cruella then used her divine world eye and saw that there were indeed two souls residing in one body. However, one soul is so powerful and dominates the other. Surely, the powerful one belongs to Sera.
Now that Cruella used her divine world eye, she could see the dark aura Sera possessed. It's so murderous and potent. It's apparent how many lives Sera has taken.
Sera's soul was bound by some curse shackles that restricted her full potential.
Who curses her?
Cruella could tell that Sera would be more powerful if the shackles were gone. For some reason, she wanted to see how powerful Sera could be without the shackles.
Will Sera be as strong as her if she unconcealed her full potential as well? She wonders who is more powerful than them.
But as soon as that thought appeared it also disappeared in a flash. For now, it's not that important.
Evangeline is her top priority at the moment. She has to find a way to get Sera out of Evangeline's body.
"Cruella?" Sera pouts her lips pitifully.
"I will find a way to separate your soul from Evangeline's body. To do that, we have to find a new vessel for you." Cruella uttered with a solemn expression.
It's difficult to find a suitable body for Sera. Her soul is too strong and the vessel should be healthy and has a unique physique like Evangeline's.
Sera pouted but quickly nodded. She likes Evangeline's body but well, she doesn't want to cross Cruella's bottom line and she could only agree to find a new vessel for her.
Cruella is so scary to provoke.
However, was it easy to find a suitable vessel for her?
Then she was uneasy upon seeing Cruella suddenly grin devilishly like thinking something humourous.
"Sera, how about we look for a monster to be your new vessel?" Cruella blurted out.
"What?!" Sera was horrified.
A monster to be her new vessel? Was she pulling her leg? The thought of her becoming a monster sends goosebumps all over her body.
Sera doesn't know whether to laugh or cry.
"I'm dead serious."
Cruella leaned closer and whispered into Sera's ear, "Just so you know I'm a monster who can transform into a human form!"
"What?!" Once again, Sera was so shocked that she was rendered speechless. She stared at the ethereal beauty in front of her in disbelief.
How could she believe that a fairy-like beauty in front of her was a monster? Unless she saw with her own two eyes she won't believe her words at all.
"You don't believe me? Try checking my status! Hmph!" Cruella pouted her lips.
Sera quickly did that and her eyes widened like it was about to pop out of their sockets. She was speechless beyond words.
Her world spinning and she keep seeing the words she saw just now.

"C... Cruella, how old are you now?"
Cruella was puzzled. Why is she asking her age all of a sudden?
Nevertheless, she answered nonchalantly, "I was sixteen when I died in my previous life and it's only two years since I was reincarnated in this world. Presumably, I'm two years old in this world. But if I added it to my age from my previous life, then I'm eighteen years old!"
Sera felt like she had grown two heads! She was utterly in disbelief.
'Who am I?'
'Where am I?'
'Am I dreaming?'
"You're so young but already this powerful!" Sera gasped. Well, she was four hundred years old when she died back then! She felt so old now when she learns Cruella's age. And what's more? Her talent can't compare to Cruella at all!

But Cruella only took two years to be so powerful? Is fate pulling her leg? Her pride was extremely crushed!
Little did Sera know that ten thousand years had passed by.
"How about you?" Cruella asked curiously.
"I'm not telling you. Ah, I'm so old!" Sera murmured with a pout. The truth is too cruel!
Cruella laughed and said teasingly, "Hm, I suspect that you're at least a few hundred years old if you are that reluctant to share your true age!"
Sera's face turned sour and Cruella laughed along with little Lucy.
Lucy also added insult to injury, "You're quite old! I'm only four years old!"
Cruella laughed so hard hearing Lucy's words.
Sera pouted but also laughed.
She was crying earlier but now she was laughing. Now that she remembered, when was the last time she laughed like this and relaxed?
It was all Cruella's doing!
Is it good or bad for her?
"Sera, don't worry, you don't look like an old person at all! Your appearance is so young like you are also my age!" Cruella uttered while stifling a laugh.
Lucy also chimed in cutely. "Yeah! You don't look like an old woman with a hunchback at all!"
Cruella laughed again at Lucy's words.
"Lucy, you are a natural comedian! Pfft!" Cruella and Sera burst out laughing.
Suddenly, a stomach grumbled loudly. Then Lucy held her stomach with a shy smile and pouted. "Oh, the monsters in my stomach are going wild! Big sister, little Lucy is hungry!"
At the same time, another stomach grumbled loudly. "Oops! Sera is also hungry!" Sera uttered while grinning.
Cruella was speechless and then laughed. "Pft!"
Just like that, the three went for a hunt and caught some hares for their dinner, but it couldn't even fill one of their teeth.
