Thankfully, it was only a few heats of men’s swimming before Tyler was ready to leave. I was glad it wasn’t diving. I could only take so much Jake Anderson right now. God, I sound bitter.
I had nothing to be angry about. I trusted Luke when he said nothing was going on with Jake. I should be happy for him. He’s out, living his life, but part of me was a little jealous. If I were already out, maybe it would be less complicated with Luke?
The guys and I were ready to leave pretty quick. We didn’t bring much with us.
“Hope to see you tomorrow in the stands supporting the girls,” Woodward called out.
“Hashtag Team USA,” Tyler replied.
“We’ll be there, Coach,” Grant said.
I mumbled something and snuck out into the hallway. All this wishful thinking was pointless, anyway. I was trying to distract myself from the more pressing issue. Telling Luke I wanted to wait to fuck. I was trying to prepare myself for his disappointment. I pulled out my phone to text Erika.
Cam: Good luck tomorrow.
Erika: Thank you! Big day, calling it early tonight. What are you guys up to?
Cam: Dinner and dancing, if you believe it.
Erika: OMG! That sounds like a blast. Be a good little gymnast.
Cam: Always, xoxo.
The sun was on its way down as we left the hotel and headed back to the village. Tyler and the twins were ahead of us.
“You okay? You seem pretty quiet,” Luke said, next to me.
“Yeah, I’m good. There’s a lot going on right now.” I kicked at a rock on the sidewalk.
He nodded. It was our first awkward silence. I felt responsible. Did I just fuck this up?
We passed through security and the guys headed back to the dorm.
“We’re gonna go grab some dinner,” I said. “Give us an hour and we’ll be ready. Text us if you’re waiting.”
“See ya!” Graham waved goodbye.
Tyler came in for a big hug, wrapping one arm around each of us. “You boys better not skip out on tonight,” he warned. “This is a team-building exercise.”
The walk across the village somehow felt worse than the trudge from the hotel. I shouldn’t have said I wanted to talk, but I felt guilty about his excitement over tonight. I didn’t want to disappoint him.
Too late for that.
He held the door open for me and smiled. We both grabbed some food, and he followed me to a small table in a quiet corner.
“So…” I tried to start.
“Are you breaking up with me?” Luke blurted out.
I looked at him in shock. “No! Is that what you thought?”
“Well, you gave me the ‘we have to talk’ line. I guess I didn’t know what else it could be.”
“I’m not breaking up with you,” I answered. “But now I have a question for you?”
“Nope. You say what you needed to talk about first, then you can ask your question.”
“Well...it’s kind of awkward.”
“Cam, nothing can be more awkward than the last twenty minutes. Please, I already told you, you can tell me anything.” He held out his hand.
There weren’t many people around, so I took it, looked him in his sweet, brown eyes, and said, “I think you are incredible. Your mind, your heart and your body, but I don’t think I can go through with the plan tonight.”
“The dancing?”
I felt the blush climb my neck and warm my cheeks, and I saw it dawn on his face a few seconds later.
“Oh…” He leaned in, and whispered, “The fucking?”
I half-smiled and nodded. “Are you mad?”
“Are you kidding, Cam? Of course not!”
I was relieved.
“I mean, to be honest, I admit I’m disappointed I won’t get to feel that—” He let go of my hand and gestured towards my crotch. “—inside of me tonight, but I’ll manage. Especially when I thought what you had to tell me was way worse than delaying sex.”
“Whew. Okay. I’m sorry, I just…”
“You don’t have to explain.”
“But I want to. It’s a big step. I was super horny in the moment and it was fun and flirty, but I psyched myself out about it all afternoon, and now there’s too much pressure and it feels like this big thing, and I don’t know...am I making sense?”
“I get it. You’re not quite ready and scheduling it kind of made it not as much fun. Noted.”
“Thanks for being so great about it.”
“I mean, we can still do other things, right? So, not a complete loss.” Luke winked.
I couldn't help but smile. “Now, my question. You thought I was breaking up with you? Does that mean you think we’re official, like dating?”
The array of expressions on Luke’s face was an emotional smorgasbord. “You want the truth?” he asked.
“Always,” I replied.
“The sexual part was just one of the last puzzle pieces for me...for us. I...”
I held my breath.
“I thought you were breaking up with me because I think of us as being together. Like, a proper couple. I know it’s only been a few days, but I’ve had a crush on you for a while, and I’ve known you even longer, so for me, this started more than a few days ago.”
“I feel the same,” I said.
“And I don’t want this to end after the Olympics. I want to make it a thing.” He was looking at his fingers while he talked, fiddling with a piece of a napkin, until he said the last two words. “Our thing.” Then he looked up at me, expectantly, waiting.
“I am so glad you said that. I’ve been feeling that way since Alex showed up at my door. I didn’t want to scare you off by getting too serious too fast.”
“Are you kidding?! That’s amazing. And hilarious. I wish you said something sooner, Ollie.”
“I didn’t want anything to change in case you felt differently. You were so quick to agree when I blurted it out.”
“I didn’t want you to think I wasn’t cool with it,” Luke replied.
“Oh, my god!” We both laughed. He reached over to squeeze my hand, and my heart melted when I saw the look in his eyes. And then his smile took a little turn. “Make-out session?” Luke asked.
I couldn’t clear my tray quick enough.
I was straddling Luke, grinding my hard dick against his through our pants, when our phones both blew up.
“Ugh. I guess that means it’s time,” Luke lamented, taking a breath.
I leaned up and back. “We didn’t even shower. We’re going to smell like sex and sweat.”
He grinned. “Works for me. You might want to change, though. I’m not sure precum wet spots are part of their dress code. Nice tent.”
“I thought you enjoyed camping.”
“If that tent was at my campsite, I would.”
I unglued myself from his crotch and stood up, walking over to my tiny closet.
“Uh, I don’t know what to wear. What kind of place is this?”
“Let me check and answer the boys.” Luke swiped his phone. “Place is called Alibi. Let me google it.”
I stripped everything off and waited.
“That does not help me at all, Mr. Kane.” Luke glanced up from his phone.
“Oh, really?” I asked innocently, looking over my shoulder.
Luke grumbled something and kept scrolling. “Looks like no sneakers, no t-shirts, no tank tops, no flip-flops. Ugh, basically everything I love to wear is nope. Looks kinda swanky.”
“Help!” I squeaked out.
Luke walked over to the closet. “Okay, these shoes. Some tight dark pants. And this colorful polo. And the jockstrap I am currently wearing.”
I did a double take as he took his jeans off and then his jock, and handed it over to me.
“Really?” I held my hand out, and he passed them off. Instinctively, I brought them to my nose to smell. I was curious.
“Fuck, Cam. I did not just see that. We can’t be any later,” he said, pulling his jeans back on, and angling his still hard dick to the left before zipping up. “But I will save that mental image.” He winked. “Hurry and get dressed. We still have to pick out what I’m wearing.”
“What?” I asked Luke, who was standing across from me in the elevator. “Why are you staring?”
“One, it’s you, so duh. And two, I’ve never seen you this dolled up. You’re fucking hot. Knowing what’s under there makes it even better.”
I shifted awkwardly and adjusted my dick. “Well, just so you know, I’m practically spilling out of it.”
His grin grew more devilish. But I really was.
My dick was too big for his skimpy jock.
I knew mine was bigger than his, but I guess I hadn’t realized that my waist was that much bigger, too.
“Was it your plan to make me squirm and be rock hard the whole night?” He tried to pretend he hadn’t heard me.
I slapped his shoulder playfully. “Payback’s a bitch.
Just remember that. I’ll think of something. ”
“Well, if you want me to wear your underwear so I’m extra turned on one evening, I will not think of that as torture,” he quipped, as the doors opened and we headed to his room. Tyler was waiting for us in…
“Damn, Tyler. You look hot.”
He wore a tight white button-up dress shirt, a skinny red tie, and bright white pants with red leather loafers. His outfit made his smile pop and his green eyes stand out.
“Don’t sound so surprised, Cam.”
“Hey, you’re my boyfriend. Eyes over here,” Luke said. And he started taking his clothes off, so that is where my eyes went.
“Boyfriend?” Tyler asked.
“Oh...yeah,” Luke tried to sound nonchalant. “That happened.”
“It happened? I’m gonna need more deets than that.”
“You wanna take this?” Luke asked. “I gotta figure out what to wear.”
“So, Luke thought I was going to break up with him. I asked what he thought I was supposedly breaking up, and then he basically confessed how much he wants us to be in an actual relationship and has been worshipping me since he first saw me.”
“That is not what happened,” Luke screeched, and threw a random pair of briefs my way.
Tyler laughed. “Sounds about right. Why did he think you were breaking up?”
“Because he gave me the dreaded ‘we have to talk’ line,” Luke interjected.
“What did you have to talk about?”
“We need to find Tyler somebody to bang tonight, Luke. He is living vicariously through us too much.”
“Come on, Cam,” Tyler teased, poking me and jumping around. “What was it?”
“Cut it out, jeez.”
He kept it up.
“Oh, he's like a human chihuahua. Is there an off button?!”
“Nope!” Tyler answered, hopping around in my face.
“Energizer bunny right there,” Luke added.
“I was supposed to fuck him tonight, okay?” That stopped Tyler’s bouncing. “I wanted to take it slower.”
