What the hell?!

Guest's POV:

The rest of the day passed in a blur. I went through the motions—ate when I had to, spoke when it was required, kept my hands busy with anything I could find. But Chance's words followed me.

You're not alone.

I tried to ignore the way they settled in my chest, heavier than they should have been.

Tried not to think about the way my pulse always picked up when he was near. The way my body reacted when he smirked at me, challenged me, pushed just hard enough to get under my skin.

Tried not to think about the way I watched him when he wasn't looking.

It wasn't until later, when the cabin was quiet, when the others had long since turned in, that I let myself breathe.

I sat at the edge of my bed, head in my hands, exhaustion pressing in from all sides. But sleep wouldn't come.

Not yet.

Because no matter how hard I tried to fight it, I knew the truth.

Chance wasn't just some guy I tolerated. He wasn't just a teammate, a rival, a thorn in my side.

He was something more.

And that? That was dangerous.

I laid back, staring at the ceiling, my heartbeat a little too fast, my thoughts a little too loud.

Tomorrow, I told myself.

Tomorrow, I'd ignore it.

Tomorrow, I'd forget.

But as my eyes slipped shut, his voice echoed in my mind.

- "You don't have to be alone."

And for the first time in a long time, I wasn't sure I wanted to be.

Chance's pov:

? SMUT ?

That night, sleep evaded me like a shadow slipping through cracks.

I tossed and turned, the weight of my thoughts too heavy to settle, and eventually, I found myself drifting into a restless slumber. In my dreams, I was back at the cabin, but it was different.

The air was thick with tension, and the light was dim, casting long shadows that danced along the walls.I could feel the heat radiating from Guest's body beside me, the space between us charged with an energy I couldn't ignore.

He turned to me, his expression softening, vulnerability etched across his features.I wanted to reach out, to pull him closer, but something held me back.

- "Chance," he murmured, his voice low and gravelly, sending a shiver down my spine.

I leaned closer, our faces mere inches apart. My heart raced as I searched his eyes, looking for the answer to a question I hadn't yet asked. And then, suddenly, he was kissing me.

It was fierce and desperate, like he was trying to erase every doubt and fear that had built up between us.I melted into him, my hands finding their way to his shoulders, pulling him closer still.

The kiss deepened, and I could taste the salt of his skin, the warmth of his breath mingling with mine.I felt the heat radiate from his body, and my hands roamed over his back, fingers tracing the taut muscles beneath his shirt.

- I don't want to be alone..," he whispered against my lips, his breath hot and intoxicating. I broke the kiss, breathless, my mind racing.

- "you don't have to be alone..,", my voice trembling with the weight of my admission. He pulled me back in, the kiss igniting a fire within me that I hadn't known existed.

My body responded instinctively, pressing against him, feeling the hardness of his form against my softness, craving him like I craved air.

I felt his hands slide down my sides, gripping my waist, pulling me flush against him.The world around us faded, and it was just us, lost in this moment of reckless abandon. .

- "Show me," he breathed, and the plea ignited something primal within me.

I shifted, straddling his lap, my heart racing as I ground myself against him.I could feel his desire pressing against me, raw and unfiltered.

- "Tell me what you want," I whispered, my voice low and sultry, teasing.

- "You," he growled, his hands tightening around my waist, pulling me even closer, as if he were afraid I would slip away.

I leaned in, capturing his lips once more, the kiss a chaotic mix of passion and need.I could feel the tension building, the heat rising between us like a wildfire consuming everything in its path.

and suddenly we were in a dimly lit room, the air thick with the scent of sweat and desire.I could hear the low hum of music in the background, the perfect soundtrack to our stolen moment.

I tugged at his shirt, desperate to feel his skin against mine, and he helped me, pulling it over his head and tossing it aside..

I glanced around a bit.. We were in his cabin..

I pressed my palms against his chest, feeling the rapid thrum of his heartbeat beneath my fingers.

- "You're driving me insane," he breathed, his voice laced with urgency.

- "Good," I smirked, leaning down to trail kisses along his collarbone, savoring the way he shivered beneath my touch. His hands found their way to my thighs, gripping tightly as he urged me to move against him.I could feel the heat radiating from his body, and it was intoxicating.

- "God, Chance," he groaned, his voice thick with need, and that sound sent a jolt of electricity through me.

I pressed my hips down harder, arching my back, relishing the way he responded to me.I was lost in the sensation, the world outside forgotten as I focused solely on the man beneath me.

The dream blurred, a haze of desire and longing, but one thing remained clear: I wanted him.I wanted all of him, and I was done hiding from it. ---

I woke up with a start, my heart racing, body damp with sweat as I sat up, blushing a bit... But as the remnants of the dream faded, I was left with a clarity I hadn't expected. The lines between our frenemy releationship and something more had blurred, and I couldn't ignore it any longer.

I like him.

I got out of bed, still a blushing and shaking mess..

- "How the hell can a dream fuck someone up like this?.." I mumbled to myself as I looked into the small mirror I had.

I love him.. I like him..

I can't lose these feelings no matter how hard I try..
