Chapter 20 #2
There is no one on this Earth who is more perfect for me than Tyler Beckmann. I’m certain of it.
And maybe this is how I can tell him how I truly feel about him. To give him this last piece of my virginity.
To hand over my heart and ask him to be by my side as I navigate this next chapter of my life.
Placing the stress ball down on the bed beside me, I get up and ruffle her hair before heading to the door. “Thanks, Stas. I better get researching.”
I can hear the smile in her voice as she says, “Please don’t keep me posted, but I wish you the best on your bottoming adventure.”
I give her a salute before I slip through the door. There’s a buzz of anticipation thumping through my veins, and I’m unable to wipe the smile from my face as I head back to my room.
“Okay, so, please don’t be mad at me,” I say the moment Tyler enters my room later that evening, scrunching my face in a slight grimace.
Tyler’s brows pinch in confusion as he closes the door behind him. “What? Why would I be mad at you?”
“Because I’ve found this open mic night tomorrow, and I think it would be a good idea if you did it.”
His eyes go wide. “An open mic night?”
“Yeah. I figured it would be fun, you know… remind you of the good times and how much you enjoyed performing when you were in school.”
Tyler blinks at me, mouth twisted in a frown as he rubs the back of his neck. Uncertainty swims in his eyes, like he’s full of doubt. My heart pounds a little harder.
“I don’t know, Colbs… I haven’t played in front of people for years.”
I stand in front of him and place my hands on his neck. “You played in front of me the other night. Did you not enjoy that?”
“Yeah, I did, but that’s you. I’m comfortable with you. We suck each other’s dicks and fuck. You’re not going to tell me I’m shit, even if you thought it.”
I curl my lips inward, trying to stop myself from smiling.
“What?” he asks.
I shake my head. “Nothing.”
He lets out a heavy sigh and rubs a hand over his face. “You really think I should do it?”
“Yeah, I do.”
“But what if I’m shit?”
Pressing my lips to his, I kiss him, slow and tender, but full of promise. When I pull away, I hold his chin with my thumbs, keeping his gaze locked on me.
“You won’t be, because you were fucking incredible the other night, and that kind of talent just doesn’t disappear like that.
” I raise one hand to snap my fingers once.
“But in the very highly unlikely situation that you are, then we’ll come back here, and I’ll suck your dick and tell you how hot you are. ”
Tyler coughs out a laugh, causing me to grin.
“Is that right?” he asks, amusement dancing in his eyes.
“Yep, so how about it?” I trace my finger along his bottom lip.
“We can go, and if you decide once we get there that you don’t want to do it, then that’s okay.
We can just hang out for a couple of hours, watch a few people perform, then we’ll come back here, and I’ll still suck your dick and tell you how hot you are. ”
Raising his hands, he cups my face and slides his mouth onto mine. My eyes instantly fall closed, and I let out a low, mewling sound as his tongue licks into my mouth.
“You really want me to do this?” he murmurs against my lips.
“Yes, I do,” I confess. “I want you to discover what makes you burn for life, Ty. I want you to see that anything is possible if you allow yourself to put your happiness first.”
Lifting his head a fraction, his eyes search mine, deep and imploring. Our lips brush as we breathe in the same air.
I’m silently begging him to take a chance on himself. To allow himself to have a taste of something that could be his future if he put his needs first.
To take the risk and know I’ll be there for him, no matter what.
“Will you come with me?” he asks in a whisper.
“Of course,” I reply without hesitation. “Always.”
He kisses me once more, then tips his head back until it hits the door behind him and groans at the ceiling. “What if I get stage fright?”
“Did you use to get that in school?”
“No, but I was also a teenager and a cocky shit.” His gaze returns to me again, and he gives me a lopsided smirk. “There weren’t many things I was afraid of or thought I couldn’t do.”
Grabbing his hand, I drag Tyler over to my bed and push him down onto the mattress. He gets the memo and kicks off his sneakers when I remove his hat and toss it onto my desk.
With my hands on his shoulders, I push him to lie back and straddle his hips.
“You know what I’m afraid of?” I say, placing my hands either side of his head as his hands move to roam up my sides.
“What’s that?”
“That I’m going to be disappointed or hurt by everything I’ve wanted in life. That I’ll get drafted and play in the NHL and find out it isn’t as amazing as I hoped it would be.”
“That’s not going to happen,” he counters.
“It might, but at least I’ll be able to say I tried.” I look down at him with pleading eyes. “It kills me to know you’re going to be unhappy when you’re back in Arizona. It doesn’t have to be like this.”
His expression softens, and his tongue darts out to wet his lips before quietly saying, “Are you talking about working for my dad or about us?”
My heart leaps into my throat, and I suck in a sharp breath.
This is it.
This is the moment I need to tell him how I feel.
“Both,” I whisper, curling my fingers around his traps, tightening my hold on him. “I don’t want it to be the end of us when you graduate, Ty. I don’t know how it’ll work or where I’ll be, but all I know is I don’t want to let you go.”
His pulse flickers wildly in his neck as he swallows roughly. He curves his hand around the back of my head and tugs me down until our noses are touching.
“This wasn’t supposed to happen,” he murmurs, keeping his eyes locked on mine.
“I know,” I say, but it comes out like a sigh. “You were only supposed to take my virginity, not my fucking heart too.”
A slow grin lights up his face, voice taking on a teasing tone when he asks, “Are you falling in love with me, Colbs?”
“Yes.” I nip his bottom lip with my teeth. “So don’t make this weird.”
There’s a twinkle in his eyes as he captures my lips in a mind-melting kiss. Adrenaline rushes through me, causing my heart rate to spike.
“It’s not weird if I feel the same,” he admits, combing his fingers through the hair that’s fallen into my face. “I didn’t see you coming. I didn’t see this coming, but fuck, you’ve become everything to me. I don’t know how it’ll work either, but I know I’ll do anything to make it possible.”
Pushing myself up with one arm, I stare down at him and slide a palm along his jaw. I tilt my head to the side and echo his words with a smirk. “Are you falling in love with me, Ty?”
“Yes, I fucking am.” He grins and gives my ass a pinch. “It’s the only reason why I’m agreeing to go tomorrow and sing in front of a room full of strangers.”
“What do you mean? It’s going to be fun.”
“For you, maybe. I might end up frozen the second I get on the stage, like a deer in the headlights, unable to breathe, let alone remember how to play the guitar,” he says, his words sounding flustered.
I chuckle softly under my breath.
“Maybe you can just pretend that I’m the only one in the room and you’re playing for me.” I press a kiss to the corner of his lips. “Imagine me naked or something. Like you’re serenading me before you fuck me senseless.”
He must not catch on to my choice of words because his mouth hitches in a lopsided grin. “That wouldn’t be a good idea.”
“Why not?”
“Because there will probably be a spotlight on me, and then everyone will be able to see me get a boner.”
“Speaking of boners,” I say, reaching down to palm his cock over his sweatpants. “We’ve got about two hours until Stassie comes back.”
He arches into my touch. “You are insatiable.”
“It’s your fault. You made me this way,” I say innocently.
Tyler huffs out a moan when I give his half-hard cock a squeeze.
“That I did, and I have zero regrets,” he smirks. “Because you’re mine, Colbs, and I’m never going to get enough of you.”
