42. Jeremiah
Jeremiah
Chase and I have been lost in each other for what seems like forever and not long enough, at the same time.
My hands run up and down his back as he chews delicately on my lip.
Chase hums against my mouth. “I don’t believe you.”
I laugh lightly, squeezing his hips in my hand. “I promise you, there’s something I can’t do.”
“I haven’t seen it, therefore, I don’t believe it.” He runs his fingertip down my nose, inciting another laugh from me.
“I… can’t sing.” I offer up.
His brows raise, sitting up on my lap. “Seriously?”
“Oh, yeah.”
His eyes flicker over me. “You asshole. I think that makes me like you even more.” He leans back in, nibbling on my neck, making me tense and chuckle. “Tell me how bad you are,” he teases.
I laugh, scrunching my fingers into his sides. “Nails down a chalkboard.”
He leans back, trying to squirm out of my reach but I take the opportunity to run my fingers up through his shirt and up his stomach. Sadly, just as I do this, my eyes catch the time on my watch.
“Holy shit, it’s eleven o’clock,” I gasp.
Chase’s eyes widen as he sits up, grabbing my wrist. “Seriously? Wow, this night flew by.”
I can’t help myself. I reach out and thread my fingers through the soft strands. I’m taking full advantage of being able to touch him.
“You tired?” I ask gently, coiling a strand of his bangs around my finger and placing it behind his ear.
He leans into my hand. “Mmm, not in the slightest.”
I think about that for a moment. I’m not either. I swallow hard. “I’ve got an idea.”
Standing up, I bring the charcuterie board to the kitchen counter, making sure it’s out of reach of Honey. I walk back over to him and reach my hand out.
He looks at my hand from where he’s sitting but doesn’t grab on. Instead he looks at me with a frown and furrowed eyebrows. “But, I don’t wanna go to sleep yet.”
I smirk, lifting the back of my shirt and tugging it over my head. “Who said anything about going to sleep?” I nod toward the bedroom.
As I turn, I hear the sound of Chase scrambling to his feet to follow me.

In the bathroom, I toss my shirt in the hamper and start hunting for the bubble bath gel I swear I have somewhere.
“What are you looking for?” Chase hovers by the door of the bathroom.
“Turn on the bathtub for me?” I ask, still rifling through drawers. Just the usual suspects—hair gel, watches, q-tips. No bath stuff.
The water starts to fill the tub.
“How hot do you like it?” Chase says, leaning on the ledge and dipping his hand under the stream.
“How hot do you like it?” I smirk over my shoulder.
He shoots me a charming smile and continues fiddling with the nozzles.
I’m still shifting through the drawers until I decide to look under the sink.
I see the tall dark blue bubble bath bottle and smile.
Reaching out for it, my finger snags onto a random little department store bag.
“What is–”
“Oh, shit!” Chase darts forward, grabbing the bag from my hand and holding it behind his back.
“What was that?”
“Nothing.”
I bite back a laugh. “It’s under my sink. I should probably know what it is—”
“It’s a dildo, okay?” he blurts. “I just… wanted to be prepared. For tonight.”
A dildo.
Excitement rolls through me as I reach around him, trying to get a peek.
He moves faster than I expect, twisting his body just enough to keep it out of my reach.
“Jere, don’t—” He squirms, trying and failing to hide his blushing face.
“And where were you using this dildo?” I bite my lip, wrapping my arm around his waist and holding him close. “Were you using it in here while I was busy making us dinner?” Burying my face in his neck as he squirms.
“I forgot I put it in my bag, okay? I was trying to stash it.”
“Why? You want to keep it here?” My hardening cock brushes against his and it sends thrills though me knowing he’s feeling the same way I am.
“What if I was? Would that get you going?” Chase shakes his head, a wide grin on his face as he wraps his hands around my shoulders.
“How could it not? Getting yourself all ready for me?”
He breathes heavily, staring down at my lips. “I am, you know. Ready. For you.”
I raise a brow, amused at his attempt to sound casual. The cocky, confident, cool guy turns into such a stuttering, nervous, shy guy around me and I can’t help but feel so enthralled by it.
“Have you used it yet?” I whisper, squeezing his waist in my hands.
“Tried to… didn’t get very far.” He shakes his head, slowly brushing his nose against mine.
My hands grip tighter. The thought of him spread open like that… preparing for me.
I groan, tugging him closer as I crush my lips against his. He answers instantly, fingers threading into my hair as he presses into me, driving me back against the granite countertop.
I break the kiss only to drag my mouth down his neck, biting into the skin there.
“Shit—the water,” he gasps, his gaze flicking over my shoulder toward the mirror.
I follow his line of sight and see the tub nearly full.
With a reluctant breath, I ease my grip on him and step away just long enough to add bubble bath soap, watching the water turn milky before I shut off the tap and set it aside.
“Mmm, what is that?” Chase asks, dipping his fingers into the water.
“Ginger and coconut,” I answer, walking over to dim the lights. It’s the way I love to set things up when I’m alone on a weekend. Playing some soft music on my speaker, the room honestly feels so relaxing and warm. Turns my mind off when things get a little too stressful.
I stride over to him and lift his T-shirt, pulling it up and over his head in one smooth motion.
He spreads his legs for me instinctively as I step between them, holding my gaze.
My hands slide down his chest, slow and deliberate, and I can’t resist brushing my thumbs over his hardening nipples as I go.
“If I didn’t know any better, I’d think you were trying to seduce me.” Chase hums, sitting on the edge of the tub. “You do this for all your dates?”
I slowly shake my head. “I’ve never been on a date before today.” I shrug, taking a step back. “Take your pants off.”
His eyes widen as he stands up, dropping his sweats to his ankles. “Never?... Are you serious?”
My lips twitch.“Well, I wasn’t the most popular guy in high school.”
He gives me an apologetic look but I rectify that by running my hand through the sides of his hair. He closes his eyes and leans into my touch.
“I was really focused on school that by the time I was done, I didn’t even realize I never got to explore…that stuff.”
I slide my hands down his body, taking his boxers down with me. Finally free, his dick swings out, bobbing in front of my face. I lick my lips, standing back up.
“But, you’re twenty-six. You've travelled. You must’ve met…someone. Come on,” he says, giving me a curious look. “You’re holding out on me. I can tell."
I arch a brow. “Do you want me to say I’ve been with many people?”
Immediately a scowl appears on his face. “No.”
“Okay, then. Get in.” I tap on his ass.
He huffs at me but turns to slip into the water.
“Ah, hot,” he winces. I smile and watch as he slides in, giving his body to adjust to the foamy water as he gets comfortable. “Oh, that’s so nice,” he sighs deeply.
I bite my bottom lip, watching as he takes water in his hands and grooms back his hair. Water drips down the sides of his face, his neck, and runs down his chest.
Crouching beside him at the edge, I sway my hand through the sudsy water. Between the ambiance in here and the gorgeous man in my tub that just confessed his near decade long crush on me, I can honestly say I’ve never felt happier than I do at this very moment.
“Mmm… are you going to get in here and join me?” he asks lowly, eyes hooded as he watches me.
He reaches out and cups the back of my neck, pulling me just a little closer.
“Is this… normal?” I blurt before I really think about it.
“What is?” he asks, tilting his head.
“Feeling…like this? I’ve never…” I suck in a breath and shake my head, suddenly feeling extremely vulnerable. “… been involved with someone before. It’s…” I rake my brain for the perfect word, coming up empty.
“Intense.” Chase gives me an easy smile, coming close to me and leaning his arms on the edge of the tub.
My shoulders drop, feeling relieved that he understands.
“Honestly? I wouldn’t know. I’ve never felt like this either…
with anyone.” His words hit me like a warm wave.
“No. I don’t think it is. I think it’s… special.
And something we should hold on to.” He sighs, moving back until his back rests against the tub again and shuts his eyes. “Now, get in here.”
I let my gaze linger on him for just a moment before I stand.
First, I walk over to the nearby linen closet and take out a few towels.
Rolling up one, I set it behind his head so he’s comfortable, receiving a polite “thank you, boss”, before I rest the other two on the ledge for after.
Grabbing a couple more items before I enter, I set them aside for later.
Slipping down my pants, I don’t miss how Chase picks up his head to watch.
“Finally,” he breathes, gnawing on his bottom lip.
I smirk, getting into the hot water.
“Oh wow, you weren’t lying,” I hiss, slipping into the opposite end of the tub. It’s a little snug for us both to be in here, but it’ll do. He rests his feet on either side of me and I slowly rub my hands up and down his calves under the water.
“So,” he says, eyes closed again. “You’ve never dated anyone before.”
“No.”
“So, in all your twenty-six years, I’m the first person that’s all yours?”
“Yup.”
A slow smile grows on his lips. “I like that.”
I chuckle softly. Such a flirt.
Picking up his foot, I start to massage the arc. He gasps softly, his whole body melting into my touch.
“Oh fffuck, that feels good,” he groans, sinking further into the tub.
Continuing, I watch for a moment as he squirms at what I’m doing with my thumbs.
“You’re not a virgin, are you?” he asks, one eye peeking open.
I snort. “No.” I shake my head.
He frowns. “That’s unfortunate.”
“Why? You’re not a virgin, are you?”
