Chapter 1 #3

“All right, baby. Are you sure you’re okay?

Gonna go out back and beat on this fucker for putting his hands on you.

” I pull her into my chest and hug her close.

Everything inside me settles when she’s in my arms. She’s not wrong when she says we don’t do this.

But lately, I find myself wondering more and more if maybe we could.

One thing is for sure; I may lose my fucking mind if something doesn’t give soon.

“I’ll be fine,” she whispers into my chest as she wraps her arms around me. Tilting her face up, I search her hazel eyes, looking for any indication she isn’t telling me the truth, and when I find none, I place a kiss on her lips, then set her back onto her feet.

“Yeah, you will,” I agree, giving her one more peck on the lips before patting her ass and releasing her. “Take a minute, and then get back to work. A lot of people here tonight.” And with that, I move around her, open the door, and head out back to teach this motherfucker a lesson in manners.

Striding through the heavy, metal door, I see Wrath going to work, beating the hell out of a man staggering in front of him.

Pushing Legend aside, I rear back and slam my fist into Pinball’s face, the force sends him backward onto his ass on the pavement.

He tries to recover and regain his feet, but his attempt is futile since I’m already on him.

Grabbing his head, I drive my knee straight into his face and shove him back again.

Quickly straddling his chest, I deliver blow after blow as he tries to protect himself from the beating he’s earned.

Finally finding an opening, I land a solid hit to his temple, and his eyes roll into the back of his head as he’s rendered completely unconscious.

“This motherfucker’s been bothering Vixen lately. She’s got fucking bruises on her arm from where he grabbed her. He’s fucking lucky I don’t put a bullet in his brain,” I growl, spitting on his unmoving body and heading around the building to get the fuck out of here before I change my mind.

Thirty minutes later, we’re pulling back through the gates and up to the clubhouse. My brothers follow me back to my booth as G brings over a tray of shots. “Thanks, darlin’.”

“No problem, Prez. Rock,” she purrs, sliding into his lap and wrapping her arms around his neck.

Rock is a big motherfucker, and the girls go crazy over him.

Literally. He has a habit of taking the new club girls that show up into his bed and calling dibs until he’s done with them.

He doesn’t like to share his toys. He’s been fucking G for about six months, and I’m pretty sure the poor girl thinks he’ll eventually cave and make her his old lady.

He won’t. As soon as someone new shows up, he’ll cut G loose and move on.

I just hope it doesn’t cause her to leave when that happens because the woman really can cook better than anyone else around here.

“Baby. Go and fix me something to eat. Yeah?” he asks. He’s such a fucking asshole, but these girls seem to eat that shit up. We’re all pretty fucking shitty to the women we take into our beds, but it’s the name of the game in our world.

“Yeah,” she whispers, smiling at the man with hearts in her eyes, like he hung the moon.

Once she’s back in the kitchen, I tell him, “You cause me to lose the best cook around here, and I’m not going to be very happy with you.”

“That bitch ain’t going nowhere. She doesn’t have anywhere to go.

Says this place feels like more of a home than she’s ever had,” he says, and I’m tempted to kick his ass for being such a prick to the girl.

Looking around the table, I see I’m not the only one.

We don’t get involved in each other’s shit though.

It’s part of what allows things to function around here without all the drama.

How a brother handles his woman is his business.

Although none of us would ever sit by and let a man lay a hand on a woman in anger.

That shit will never happen on my watch.

Long minutes later, G pushes through the swinging doors to bring Rock his burger and a heaping pile of fries.

“Go wait in my room, baby. Be up when I’m done,” he promises, digging into his food and not sparing her another glance.

To my shock, G turns on her heels, damn near sprinting up the steps towards his room.

“You’re a real asshole. You know that?” Knox says, his eyes still trained on the stairs that G just disappeared up.

“Yeah, yeah, I know. Don’t be a hater just because you want to fuck her,” Rock teases, eliciting a rumble from Knox.

I don’t think Rock realizes that he’s really close to pushing Knox too far when it comes to G.

He’s been watching her ever since she showed up, but unfortunately, Rock got to her first. When Rock is done playing his games with the girl, I have a feeling that Knox will be next in line to swoop in.

She’ll be ok if that happens because I don’t think he’ll let her go.

Ten minutes later, Rock pushes his plate away, finishes his beer, and grunts goodnight to everyone at the table before heading up the stairs. It’s not much longer before the rest of my men decide that Rock had the right idea and grab themselves a bunny to keep them company for the night.

Taking Rock’s plate into the kitchen, I dump it in the sink and decide it’s time to head to the house. Hopping on my bike, I fire her up and make the quick ride to my house, wondering if tonight will be the night that I refrain from calling Kierra.

Pulling into my garage, I climb off and go inside for a hot shower to wash away the stress of the day.

Once I’m clean, I dry off, walk back downstairs naked, and plant my ass on my couch.

Looking at my phone, I try to make up my mind about whether or not to call Kierra.

It’s late, but I never let that sway my decision.

Leaning my head back on the cushion, I take a deep breath and close my eyes. It never fails that I can always see the seductive eyes that haunt me and those pouty lips begging to be devoured behind my closed lids. My hand twitches with thoughts of turning her tight ass red with the palm of my hand.

Mine! echoes in my mind. I’m the only man to ever go there, and I feel homicidal when I think of anyone touching what belongs to me. Fuck it! Opening my eyes, I reach for my phone and succumb to my addiction.
