Chapter 14 #2
Turning his full attention back to us he begins, “Draven and Kierra, today we are gathered here to celebrate the love you have found and to support the commitment you have made to one another.
Marriage is so much more than two people repeating vows.
Part of marriage is finding happiness while searching for the good, the fun, and the beautiful in this life and sharing it with each other.
“Remember that your love will always prevail in times of trouble. It will drive you to not only learn but to grow as individuals; to become stronger, and united together. Today, as you bind your lives, you enter as individuals but will exit as husband and wife.
“Draven, do you take Kierra Ramirez to be your lawfully wedded wife, to have and to hold from this day forward; for better and for worse, for richer and for poorer, in sickness and in health, to love and to cherish, till death do you part?”
“I do,” Draven rasps as he slides the silver band onto my finger before pulling my hand to his mouth and placing a sweet kiss on the symbol of our commitment.
“Kierra, do you take Draven Solis to be your lawfully wedded husband, to have and to hold from this day forward; for better and for worse, for richer and for poorer, in sickness and in health, to love and to cherish, honor and obey, till death do you part?”
“I do,” I sniffle, sliding Draven’s wedding band onto his finger as I begin to sob when my hormones get the better of me.
Breaking all protocol my husband pulls me into his arms and tilts my face to his so he can brush away my tears.
He hates when I cry, which honestly has been a lot and at the drop of a hat lately.
“By the power vested in me by the State of Florida, I now pronounce you husband and wife! Draven, you may kiss your bride. Again.” The whole courtyard erupts again as everyone laughs and cheers when Draven lowers his lips to mine, kissing me like he’s never kissed me before.
This one is tender, slow, and sweet. When he pulls back, resting his forehead against mine he stares into my eyes for long moments before softly saying, “Love you, wife.”
“Love you too, husband,” I hiccup, trying to keep from crying anymore.
“Yeah,” he sighs as his eyes close, and he pulls me tighter into his arms.
“Come on, we have a cake to cut, and you promised me a dance,” I remind him while squeezing his middle.
“I have a better idea.” He laces his fingers through mine and leads me back down the aisle. Confetti floats through the air as our friends and family cheer in celebration of our union.
“Where are we going?” I ask once he bypasses the common room and leads me down the hallway.
He quickens his pace and replies, “To my office.”.
As soon as we’re through the doorway, he turns on me as he slams the door shut and presses my body against it.
“You’re mine, baby. That cut on your back, the ring on your finger, and now my name attached to yours says it’s so,” he growls into my neck as he works the skirt of my dress up my legs and over my ass.
“Turn around, wife,” he groans as I turn to face the door and place my hands on the wooden surface with my back arched towards him.
“Like this, husband?” I purr, grinding my ass against him.
“Perfect,” he grunts as I hear the clanking of his belt.
In a flash, he’s sliding my dress further up my back, my panties to the side, and working his cock into me.
My breath leaves me on a whoosh once he’s fully seated and quickens his pace.
“Shit,” he hisses when someone starts pounding on the door, but the interruption does nothing to slow him as he continues to hurtle us toward the finish line.
“You guys! There are guests out here waiting to congratulate you!” G shouts, before laughing at catching us in the act and talking to someone who must be with her about what we’re doing.
“Get there, baby,” he growls into my ear as his hand slides around my hip to rub my clit through my panties.
“Oh god! Right there, babe. Don’t stop!” I yell. With one more hard thrust, we’re both soaring over the precipice as we come together, panting, and sweaty as a chorus of cheers vibrate through the door. “Do you think they heard us?” I squeak as Draven’s body jostles me from his silent laughter.
“Yeah. I think they heard us,” he chuckles, slowly pulling free and sliding my panties back in place.
“You’re the worst,” I tease, pulling my dress back down over my ass and praying my hair isn’t completely ruined.
“Yeah, but you love it.” He smacks me on the behind and pulls the door open.
I’m a little embarrassed to see the audience we have on the other side but ultimately, I figure fuck it.
I’ve seen what these guys get up to, so I raise my head high as I walk past them all and head to the common room in search of cake.
“There you guys are!” Sadie chirps as she envelops me and her dad in a bear hug.
“I’m really happy for you both. I’ve always wanted a mommy,” she teases.
That’s something she’s been doing a lot lately.
Teasing us both about how her stepmother is just a few years older than her. Draven finds the whole thing hilarious.
“Where’s Nash?” I ask, looking around for him, knowing he will want to get in on the cake action.
“Out back blowing bubbles with Mila and the other kids that are here,” G says, coming up behind us with a smirking Rock behind her.
He’s such a dick. I don’t know why she keeps messing with him, but I don’t get involved.
She should give Knox a shot. Everyone knows that he’s just biding his time.
Well, everyone except for G it would seem.
Hours Later
“Can I have everyone’s attention, please?
I’d like to make a toast to the bride and groom.
Kierra, darlin’, we don’t know how you do it.
Putting up with this asshole can’t be easy, but you are one hell of a woman for taking on the challenge,” Riddick smirks at Draven as the room laughs at his teasing.
“He’s not so bad,” I yell back, smiling from ear to ear as I lean my head on Draven’s shoulder showing Riddick that my man doesn’t intimidate me at all.
“And Viper, old friend, you have yourself an amazing woman there at your side. Don’t fuck it up,” he warns, finishing his speech and tossing back his tumbler of whisky, earning himself a middle finger from my husband.
I love being able to think of him as my husband now.
So much has changed over the last few months and we’ve grown so much closer.
What started as a mutually beneficial arrangement has grown into love and devotion.
Everyone has had their chance to say a few words and the music has been turned up with couples already taking to the make-shift dance floor. Running the back of his hand across my cheek Draven asks, “Dance with me?” I can’t think of anything that I would love more at this moment.
“Yeah.” I nod, taking his hand as he helps me out of my chair. Hand in hand we make our way through our family and friends seated around us, accepting well wishes as we do. Taking me into his arms, Draven looks down at me and asks, “Happy?”
“So happy.” I grin, and my heart feels so full as I look into the eyes staring back at me. “You?” I ask before pulling him closer for a kiss.
“Yeah. I am.” He smirks before tightening his hold and dipping me backwards.
“You rat bastard,” I shriek before full-out laughing, drawing everyone’s attention.
“Ready to get out of here? Our flight leaves in a few hours,” he asks. Riddick gave us the most amazing wedding present in the form of an all-inclusive trip to Hawaii, and I, for one, am extremely excited to get away from this place for a little while.
“Heck yeah! Let’s go,” I cheer excitedly. I have been looking forward to this ever since Draven dropped the bomb that Riddick was sending us on vacation as a wedding gift.
