Chapter 5
Chapter Five
Stella
Thank God the day is finally over with. After spending the entire day in the emergency room, I’ve fought back my own nausea for most of it. I know morning sickness isn’t supposed to be easy, but this is ridiculous. I couldn’t even eat anything without it making me want to throw up.
Leaving the hospital, I check my phone to find several texts from Hellhound all stating we need to talk. But that’s not the text that concerns me. It’s the very same one I’ve been getting for weeks now.
Unknown: Tramp, you’ll learn your lesson in doing what you shouldn’t. Good girls are supposed to be pure and not ruin what belongs to someone. I’ll make you pay in tenfold.
I blink at the text, and another wave of nausea rolls through me as I reread the message several times over.
Nervously, I drop the phone in the seat next to me and glance around the area.
Fear nearly consumes me, but I don’t let it take over.
I can’t. If I do, I’ll run to my brother when I swore long ago, I wouldn’t bring him into my messes—not that I’ve had any problems. I do my best to not cause issues.
I never want to see the disappointment in Asher—Hellhound’s gaze.
It would break something inside me if I did.
I release a heavy breath and shake away the thoughts. Putting the car in drive, I pull out of the parking spot. With practiced maneuvering, I head for the light that leads out of the lot and to the main road. Soon as I can, I make the turn, music playing softly out of the speakers, soothing me.
Today I’d spoken to my boss, Shawna, about taking a leave of absence, and that I needed to take a break.
Shawna put it bluntly that I had nearly three months of vacation time I’d yet to use.
But she really didn’t want me going anywhere.
According to her, I’m a damn good doctor and they need me.
It’s not easy finding someone who cares for their patients and treats staff equally.
I mean I do my best to not seem superior to my co-workers.
Hell, the nurses and nursing assistants, they work their asses off, and I don’t think they’re given enough credit for what they do.
Turning onto my street, I debate on what I’ll tell Shawna.
She asked me to think about it and see if maybe me just taking a week or so of vacation will help.
I don’t know if it will, but I figured I could take a day or two to think more about it before making the decision.
Aunt Hattie will understand if I can’t come, but I still don’t think I can stay here any longer.
As the thought crosses my mind, I pull into my driveway and park, feeling more exhausted than I ever have before.
All I want to do is go inside, undress, shower, and climb right into my bed to sleep.
Unfortunately, I won’t be able to do that just yet.
I need to eat something first, no matter how much I don’t want to.
Getting out from behind the wheel, I close the door behind me and make my way up to the front door.
I step up onto the porch, pull the storm door open, and go to insert the key, only to find it’s unlocked.
I swallow tightly, fear starting to grasp at me chest once more.
I push inside and come to a stop in the entry way at the sight of the man lounging on my couch.
“What are you doing here?” I blurt out nervously, hoping he doesn’t notice as I prop my hands on my hips to face off with him.
I don’t have the strength to do it, but at the same time, my body seems to react as I take in him stretched out.
I would love nothing more than to crawl into his lap and pet his naked chest as his hands roamed over me.
God, why does Angel always have to make me feel crazy with need for him?
Angel doesn’t move from his spot as he smirks up at me with a knowing look. “We need to talk, Love,” he says, his gaze eyeing me up and down.
“We’ve nothing to talk about.” I straighten and turn away from him to set my stuff down and take my shoes off.
I sigh heavily in relief of baring my feet.
I hate shoes, despise them more than anything, but there’re a necessity in my profession.
If I never had to wear them, I wouldn’t.
I prefer flip-flops and sandals for when I have to go out anywhere, even in the winter.
I don’t have to turn around to know Angel is off the couch and moving across the space between us.
His strong arms surround me and his front comes flush with my back, hands flattening on my stomach. “Don’t lie to me, Stella. I already know, baby, you got my kid inside you. I knew it would happen. The condom broke that night.”
I gasp in surprise and tear myself from his arms, pivoting on my heel to face him, narrowing my eyes. “You didn’t tell me?”
“When did you give me the chance, huh?” Angel glares, crossing his arms over his impeccable chest, making him seem even larger than he already is.
I flinch at the question ‘cause I know he’s right. I didn’t give him a chance to tell me anything. I’ve avoided him at all cost.
“Well, it’s none of your business,” I snap, shaking my head in denial. We can’t be anything. I know we can’t.
“Bullshit.” Stepping into my space he yanks me to him once more.
“You’ve been mine since before I fucked you.
I let you run . . . let you hide from me.
But things change. I’m sick of you thinking so goddamn much that you convince yourself that we can’t be together.
Well I’m not letting you do that shit anymore. ”
“You don’t have a say in what I do or think. Better yet, you can’t let me do anything,” I argue weakly.
“Oh, but Love, I can.” He smirks and lowers his head until he’s directly in my face.
“I can make you do anything I want. All I have to do is sink my hand between those pretty thighs of yours and thrust one finger into that sweet honey I’m willing to bet is coating your panties.
I’m betting you can’t wait to let me fuck that pussy of yours. My pussy. My woman.”
“I’m not anything to you.” The words barely come out on more than a breath.
“Nice try, Love, but we both know the truth. And I’m not letting you run and hide anymore. I’m claiming what’s mine. You, Stella, baby, are my woman.”
Angel doesn’t give me a chance to get another word out as I open my mouth to deny his claim on me. Slamming his mouth to mine, he thrusts his tongue in and duals with mine, dominating the kiss. The way he lifts me easily into his arms and carries me through the house surprises me.
In my room, he dispenses me on the bed and takes both our clothes off without missing a beat in the kiss—only breaking the kiss long enough to pull shirts over our heads.
Once naked, Angel spreads my legs, his hands going between my thighs, and groans.
“Knew you would be fuckin’ soaked for me.” The husky rasp of his voice sends tendrils down my spine. “Fuck, I want nothing more than to sink down and eat your pussy, but right now, I need to be inside you. I can’t go another second without fuckin’ this tight kitty.”
“Angel,” I pant, arching into him as he rubs the head of his shaft against my entrance. “Please . . . oh God . . . please. I need you.”
With just the simple touch he gives me, I need him more than my next breath at this point because I know I’m weak were he’s concerned. Without it, I might not make it another minute.
Angel growls and thrusts halfway in, pulls back and slams home harder, sinking to the hilt. My body bows, and I cry out his name in sheer ecstasy.
“Damn, Stella, fuck, I love the way you tighten on my dick, suck me into your pussy,” he grinds out, drawing back to thrust with powerful strokes, not leaving me wanting for nothing. “Fuckin’ love the way you feel around me.”
“God, I’m going to come,” I pant feeling him hit the target with each stroke.
“Not God fuckin’ you baby,” he growls. “And you’re not coming without me.” Plowing into me, Angel takes me like a madman making me crazy for him all over again.
Unable to hold back my release, I scream in pleasure, sinking my nails into Angel’s shoulders. The way he growls and groans, his cock twitching inside me, I know he’s with me as his cum coats my pussy.
Breathing heavily, Angel lowers himself down and claims my lips for a soul devouring kiss. The moment he breaks his mouth from mine, he meets my gaze.
“Told you, Love, you’re mine. Don’t try to fight me on it, I always get what I want. No matter how I have to go about it, baby. You’re at my mercy and I’m not letting anything, or anyone take you from me. And that includes making sure you don’t try to take yourself away from me.”
My breath catches in my chest, and I stare at him with wide eyes. If only he knew how much and how long I’ve been at his mercy . . . God only knows what he would do then.
