Chapter 4

Chapter four

Ellery

My body was aching, and my skin was overly sensitive. The only thing holding me together was being tucked against Tristan’s side as we watched one of our favorite movies. Daniel had given us a large fluffy blanket to cover up with, and it felt so nice against my sensitive skin.

My cheeks heated when David and Daniel appeared. They were both carrying bowls of ice cream and what appeared to be various bottles of medicine. David placed the ice cream on the coffee table, then crouched in front of me so we were at eye level.

David’s green eyes were gorgeous. They made my heart flutter. His gaze was warm and kind, and the skin around his eyes crinkled when he smiled. He was beautiful and oh so yummy.

He held out his closed fist and smiled. “Here, take these. They’ll help you feel better.

” His voice was deep and warm, making my cheeks flush even hotter.

I nodded and held out my hand, accepting the pills.

As soon as they were in my mouth, David handed me my sippy cup, and I took a gulp and swallowed. “Good job. Here’s your ice cream.”

His praise made my heart speed up, and my dick twitched in my panties. “Thank you.”

“You’re welcome.”

We spent the rest of the day watching movies while Daniel and David talked about various things. Tristan was warm against my side, where we were still cuddled up together, and David’s voice was a deep, soft rumble as he talked to Daniel. Combined, they worked together to lull me into sleep.

After we woke up from our nap, David and Daniel made us dinner and gave us some more medicine. I was warm and cozy and feeling better with the medicine in my system. I loved being here with Tristan, but I desperately wanted to spend the night in my own bed.

“I’m feeling a lot better now with the medicine and rest. It’s getting late, and I really want to sleep in my bed tonight. Sorry, bestie.”

Tristan burrowed even further into my side, and I tightened my arm around him, pulling him even closer. “Is otay, Ewwie.”

My attention turned to the Daddies when they both spoke, but David stopped and let Daniel continue. “Are you sure you’re okay to drive?”

“Ye—” I started to speak, but David cut me off before the word even left my mouth.

“I can drive you. I understand wanting to go home, but you shouldn’t be driving while sick.”

Anxiety and relief crashed through me in tandem.

The deep rumble of his voice, combined with the stern tone, made me want to squirm.

He wasn’t being pushy, but he wasn’t leaving room for argument either.

I bet he was a wonderful Daddy, a perfect mix of tender and stern.

The thought made my cheeks heat, and my reply was nearly a whisper. “What about my car?”

David turned to Daniel, and his expression screamed, “Daddy with a plan.”

“If I come back in the morning, will you help me drop off their car?”

Hearing my chosen pronouns sent even more warmth throughout my body and eased the anxiety in my chest.

Daniel and David were both natural Daddies and had been Daddying us all day. But right then, their Daddy energy was off the charts. It was a bit intense but also nice.

My family and I had never been close. The second I graduated high school, I moved out, and we barely stayed in touch. Little over a year later, I came out as queer, and that was the final nail in the coffin. Both my parents told me to cut all contact, and I did.

It’d been just me and Tristan for years, and it was nice to see our family growing now. To have almost strangers be so worried about me and go to such lengths to make sure I got home safely made my chest ache in the best way.

“Of course. And before you even say it, no, Ellery, it’s not an inconvenience. I’ll need to take Tristan over anyway to grab a few more things to bring back for while he’s staying here.”

Tristan gasped, the sound barely audible from where he was burrowed in my side. “I staying wif chu?”

“Yes, sweetheart. I want to take care of you.”

David cleared his throat, grabbing my attention. “So, Ellery, can I please take you home? I want to make sure you’re safe.”

I wanted to say no, but not because of David.

He seemed like a great guy. I’d just always struggled accepting help from others, especially those I didn’t know very well.

However, David looked damn near desperate for my answer, and even with the medicine, my body still felt sluggish and sore.

My shoulders slumped in defeat, but I smiled regardless.

I was excited to see where things would go.

David seemed as interested in me as I was in him.

He’d caught me looking at him multiple times throughout the day, but I’d caught him looking at me just as much.

Would anything come of it, though? I guess I was going to find out.

“Yes, please. Thank you.”

“Of course, Ellie. Let’s get you packed up.”

Daniel pried Tristan from my side and propped him on his hip. “Come on, sweet boy, let’s get ready for bed. Say goodnight to Ellie.”

“Bye bye, Ewwie. I wuv chu.” Tristan’s soft, adorable voice made me want to squeal from cuteness overload.

“I love you too, buddy. I can’t wait to hang out again.”

Daniel carried Tristan into the hall, leaving David and me alone.

“Let’s go get your things.”

David held out his hand, helped me off the couch, and led me into the guest room. “Do you want to change before we go?”

I started to nod but then shook my head. “I would love to, but I’d rather just wait till I get home and change once I’ve showered. I feel gross.

“That sounds perfect. You need to wash all the gross germs off.”

David helped me carry my bags and led us out the door, locking it behind us. He used his free hand to open the car door and helped me get inside. “There you go. buckle up.”

My cheeks heated. The words, “Yes, Daddy,” were on the tip of my tongue, but I just nodded. “Thank you.”

“You’re welcome, Ellie. I’ll be right back.” He smiled and shut the car door, and I heard another one open as he placed my bags in the back seat before hopping into the driver’s seat next to me.

The car’s engine roared to life, and he handed me his phone with his GPS open.

“Enter your address in here.” I nodded and took the phone from his hands.

Our fingers brushed slightly, and the touch made my breath catch.

His skin was warm, and it felt like electricity crackling under my skin where his touch lingered.

With shaky hands, I entered my address and handed him his phone back.

David looked hesitant as he spoke. “You were shaking slightly. Did I make you uncomfortable? I know we just met earlier today, but I promise you’ll be safe with me.”

Somehow, my cheeks got even more flushed from getting caught. I was sure he didn’t want to know that my hands were actually shaking because his touch made my skin feel alive and I needed more. I wanted his touch everywhere.

“It’s not you, I promise. This might be stupid, because we just met, but I trust you.

Plus, I know Daniel wouldn’t send me home with just anyone.

” I may not have known Daniel for much longer than I’ve known David, but in a short amount of time, he’d proved he was a kind, fiercely loyal man.

As his boy’s bestie, I knew he wouldn’t let anything happen to me.

“I think I’m just feeling off because of being sick. ”

David still looked worried, but his relief that I wasn’t uncomfortable with him was palpable as he pulled up the GPS on his car. “Okay, but if you need anything, please let me know. It’ll be time to take more medicine when we get to your place, which should help you feel better.”

My heart fluttered in my chest. “Thank you. I will.”

We sat in a comfortable silence as David pulled out. It wasn’t until we got on the main road that he spoke. “So, you run an online shop with Tristan?”

My heart warmed at the thought of my bestie. I hoped he felt better soon. Lucky duck got to be pampered by his Daddy. I was happy for him . . . promise.

“Yup! Tristan makes all the plushies and sometimes blankets, and I make all the pretty princess dresses.” It wasn’t like me to feel comfortable slipping into little space with someone I’d just met, but being sick and spending the day together had my guard lower than usual.

It didn’t help that talking about my pretty princess dresses always made me feel small and happy.

His eyes were fixed on the road, but I could see his lips curl into a smile, and the lines around his eyes crinkled. “Ember is really cool. Tristan is talented. I sadly haven’t seen any of your princess dresses. Maybe you can show me some of the ones you’ve made when you’re feeling better?”

Joy bubbled up within me. He wanted to see my pretties. “Yes, please, I love showing off my pretties.”

The mural in the playroom came to mind, and I wanted to know more about him and the art he created. “Do you paint a lot of murals?”

He hummed, his fingers thoughtfully tapping the steering wheel as he did so.

“I’d say they make up about seventy percent of what I do.

I also paint a lot of toys for Daniel, and some clients ask for canvas art to hang up in their homes.

It’s usually for their dedicated kink space or bedroom if they don’t have one. ”

“That’s so cool. I’d love to see more of your art sometime.”

We were stopped at a red light, so he turned to me and smiled. “I’d love that. I have many pieces in my apartment that I could show you. Have you been to The Naughty Nook?”

“No, I haven’t. What’s that?”

“Oh, wow. You guys are missing out. It’s a kink club downtown; they cater to all different types of kinks and dynamics. They have a room just for littles and pets, but they’re in the process of giving the pets their own room.”

There was a whole club that catered to people like us? I knew places like that existed, I just never imagined there’d be one so close. “That sounds so amazing.”

David kept his eyes on the road but nodded. “It is. I brought it up because I painted a mural in the little playroom. I’m also working on one in the new pet playroom as well.”

The more he talked about the club, the more I wanted to go. It sounded amazing.

“I’d love to go sometime and see them. Has Daniel been before? Maybe we can all go with Tristan. I bet he’d love to see it too.”

“He has, and I’m sure he’d love to take Tristan.

I’ll talk to him and see if we can make that happen.

Also, you and Tristan need to bring your business cards when we go.

Aren’t you mainly catering to littles? You’re seriously missing out on some business.

Jack, the owner, loves supporting small local businesses and has bulletin boards where we can post flyers or business cards. ”

“Wow, that sounds really cool. I can’t believe I didn’t know it existed.”

Tristan and I primarily operated our business online, so we weren’t in touch with our local community. I was starting to think we needed to change that.

As we kept driving, my stomach started to ache, and I felt incredibly nauseous. I didn’t live very far from Daniel, and we were less than a few minutes away, so I focused my breathing and tried to push it down.

The second the car was in park, I opened the car door and emptied my stomach onto the concrete. “What—oh, shit. I’ll be right there, darling.”

I would’ve melted into a puddle right then and there if my stomach hadn’t been clenching in agony. Thankfully, I had tied my hair into a loose bun before we left. Just as David came around the car, I was leaning over again, retching onto the pavement.

“Actually, stay right there.” I was confused at his sudden retreat, but I was too sick to care. He hopped back in the driver’s seat and looked at me with concern. “I’m going to move the car to another spot so neither of us has to step in it. Are you good to close the door for a few seconds?”

My shirt was already ruined, so I wiped my face clean with the sleeve.

I didn’t feel great, but I definitely felt better than I did before.

“Yeah, I think I’m done for now.” I closed the car door, and David moved us one spot over, then he immediately got out, rushing to my side.

He opened my door and unbuckled me, making my cheeks heat.

“Thank you. I feel better now, I promise.”

David crouched down beside me, reached his hand out, and smiled. “Is this okay?”

I nodded, my cheeks flushed red hot as I placed my hand in his.

My skin tingled from his touch as he put my hand in his.

“I’m glad you’re feeling better after getting that all out, but you’re still sick.

Can I please stay the night to make sure you’re okay?

I’ll sleep on the couch. You won’t even know I’m there unless you need anything, then I’ll be there. ”

It was all I could do to keep the shock from showing on my face. This sexy, hot as fuck man was nervous because he wanted to take care of me. Be still, my heart.

Slowly moving my thumb, I rubbed soothing strokes across the back of his hand. “I’d love that. You seem really nice, and being alone when I’m sick sucks. I’ll be honest, I’m a bit nervous, but it’s not because of you. I’m just not used to new people in my space.”

David’s eyes were full of kindness and understanding. “That’s okay, I totally understand. Tomorrow, if you’re feeling better, I can take you to my place and show you some of my paintings . . . Does that sound nice?”

This man was going to kill me. My heart couldn’t take all this sex appeal and pure kindness in one evening. “I’d love that, and hopefully I won’t throw up all over your parking lot.”

He chuckled and shook his head. “I sure hope not, but if you do, I’ll gladly take care of you. Now, come on, darling, let’s get you inside and ready for bed. You’ve had a long day.

There was that name again. It made my heart beat wildly. I loved it. Obviously, if he called me princess, I’d probably come on the spot, but darling sent a simmering warmth coursing through me, and it just felt right.
