53. Klaus
KLAUS
“Oh fuck,” I groaned as Rosalie rode my dick. I had her to myself at the moment and was taking full advantage of it. Evan forced the guys to leave us for a few hours, then offered to pay for pizza and beer.
Anson and Ryder were easy to bribe, but Cole was hesitant. I had yet to see his dick in action and had considered letting him stay and play around while I watched, but Evan forced him out the door.
I had to hand it to Cole Scott. He loved our girl. I always thought he was a little prick asshole, but he’d stepped up recently, and I was sure he was officially joining us.
We were giving him the time he needed and had collectively decided that he needed to make a choice before the babies were born. It seemed like plenty of time.
I stared up in awe at my wife as she rocked on my cock, her perfect as fuck tits bouncing, and my name softly rolling off her tongue.
Wife.
I had to pinch myself because how the hell did I even get here?
“Klaus,” she rasped as she dug her nails deep into my chest. I groaned at the move and jutted my hips up to meet her sweet pussy.
“Come for me, baby.” I gripped her hips tightly and drove hard and fast into her.
She was coming undone within moments, her head thrown back as her pussy hugged my dick.
I followed, letting out a feral groan, my release jetting out and filling her.
Breathless, she collapsed onto my chest, and I raked my fingers through her curls.
“You’re amazing,” I murmured. “My perfect wife.”
“Mm, my perfect husband.”
I chuckled at that, then went silent and just held her, my cock still embedded deep inside her body.
“Are you happy, Rosalie?”
She shifted and looked at me before tracing her fingers along my lips.
“Yes,” she whispered. “You make me happy.”
I studied her pretty face for a moment. “A lot of people don’t think I should be with you.”
She raised her brows at my statement. I’d heard it a lot over the years.
You’re too old for her. You did terrible things in your past. You don’t deserve happiness. Look what you did to your sons! How can you even know what love is? What about all the people you’ve killed?
I’d always pushed it all away the best I could, but I knew I was a monster. It was for survival in many different ways. Emotional survival. Physical. Mental. Was it always right? No, but it was all I knew, and while it’s not an excuse, it’s all I had for one.
“Respectfully, Klaus, fuck those people,” she said softly before brushing her lips against mine.
“It’s our story, not theirs. I’m sure they’re the same people judging you and me all while living in their own toxic, shitty relationships and giving useless losers second, third, fourth chances.
Let them preach. They don’t need to understand us. Our story isn’t for everyone.”
“Fuck, I love you,” I said thickly, rolling her onto her back. “So fucking much, Rosalie. It eats at me that I was so awful—”
“No one is an angel in our world, not even me,” she said, staring into my eyes. “To put us on a pedestal and expect sainthood is ridiculous, so again, respectfully, fuck those people.”
“Yeah, baby?”
“Mm, yeah. We fuck who we want to fuck, and we love who we want to love.”
I kissed her deeply before slowly moving in and out of her. Her nails dug into my back as I made love to her. Her soft moans when her pussy clamped around my cock made me come with her.
She was right.
Fuck what people said. They didn’t have to fuck us, marry us, live with us.
But damn, the echoing of their sentiments would always be with me, just like my past, haunting me like an old ghost.
I awoke in the middle of the night next to Rosalie, the guys all piled in bed with us, minus Cole.
Carefully, I untangled myself from Ryder, who seemed to enjoy spooning because he was holding me around the waist, his giant cock pressed to my ass.
“Fucking let go of me,” I grumbled, trying to get him to let go of me.
“Stop fighting my love,” he mumbled back in his sleep.
I sighed and got him off me before I went to the bathroom. When I was done, I wandered into the living room to find Cole sitting on the couch in the dark, drinking with his shirt off.
Frowning, I went and sat in the chair across from the couch and stared at him.
“Why are you awake?” I asked.
“Cold,” he muttered before taking another drink of his whiskey.
I nodded, knowing it was bullshit and that what he really meant was he was lonely and felt like an outsider.
“It’s difficult, isn’t it?” I asked, my voice soft.
“What is?” He grunted.
“Not being in charge. Being on the outside and feeling left out.”
He snorted and shook his head but didn’t deny it.
“I’ll get a bigger bed if you wish to join us. It’s cramped in there right now.”
“You’ll need a bigger room,” he muttered. “For a bigger bed.”
I sighed. He was right. It was one of the reasons why we were here, aside from Rosalie. We were looking at houses.
He didn’t know that, though. Not even Rosalie knew we wanted to come back here to make it easier on her and Ellis so she could be with Cole more.
“We’re moving here,” I said.
He paused his glass halfway to his lips. “What?”
“We’re moving here. Rosalie doesn’t know it.
We thought it was best so she and Ellis could be closer to you.
We haven’t told her yet, but I know she’ll be good with it.
The travel will eventually become too much for her and Ellis.
And then when the babies get here? It makes sense to just be here.
Plus, she’s going back out on tour here soon.
It’s a lot of stress and traveling. We thought it best for her to just be here since your work is here. ”
Cole put his drink on the coffee table and sat forward. “Are you being serious?”
“Yes.” I frowned. “Why would I lie?”
He shook his head. “Because you’re fucking Klaus Seeley. Isn’t your thing to fuck with people before you fuck them over?”
I bristled at his words.
“I’m sorry you knew that man,” I said softly after a brief moment of silence. “I am no longer that monster.”
“Yeah, well, hard to overcome such a fucking demon, and knowing you’re with my girl…” his voice trailed off, and he shook his head. “It’s fucking hard.”
“I understand,” I murmured.
“Do you? Because I was ready to murder you in a parking lot five years ago. Do you think you still deserve all Rosalie has given you?”
“Do you believe you’re worthy?” I countered, my voice low. “I have never wronged Rosalie. Others, perhaps. But her? Never. But you?” I scoffed. “I know the lineage. I know the monsters in your closet. Be careful picking a fight with me… Ashford.”
Cole tensed at the name. “Don’t fucking call me that.”
“It’s who you are, right?”
“It’s who my family is. Not me. I’m not like them.”
“Aren’t you? You kill people. You torture them. Let’s call a spade a spade, Scott. Their blood runs through your veins. It’ll catch up to you eventually. It has to all of the prodigies. Am I right?”
He looked away from me in the dim light from the moon, his Adam’s apple bobbing.
“Did you know I had an arranged marriage?” His voice was soft.
I blinked at that information.
“I did not,” I replied.
He nodded, picked up his whiskey again, and downed it.
“I never told anyone. Not even Enzo. It was my ugly secret.”
I said nothing, waiting for him to continue.
“If you know so much about the Ashfords, then you know how they operate. Pure, rich blood. They want the best. My parents rode my ass for years to be the fucking best, all while never getting close enough to even hug me when I was.” He spat the words out sourly.
“Colten was their golden boy. He could do no wrong, but I think they knew he wasn’t prodigy material, especially when he didn’t go into medicine or law like they wanted. ”
I stayed quiet, allowing him to open up. He struck me as someone who rarely did. Based on what I was learning about him, he likely never felt safe enough to do so, or he just didn’t want to burden people. He seemed to bottle shit up, then take it out with his fists.
I could empathize. We probably could start our own club together.
“He married like they wanted him to. Clara. Real fucking bitch. Part of the Hawthorne family. Old money. Hands in all sorts of dirty pots.” He paused. “She’s not a problem anymore, though.”
I raised a brow at his words. “What did you do?”
“What I had to,” he muttered. “I love my brother. I saved him from that fucking nightmare. I know he’d do the same thing for me.”
I didn’t press the issue. Maybe I didn’t want to know. All my assumptions said it was bad.
He was quiet again before finally speaking, his voice so soft that I had to lean in to hear him.
“Kara,” he whispered. “Kara Virelli. An enemy. That’s the girl they arranged for me.”
“How did you get out of it?” I was appalled. Cole’s father had been tight with Anthony De Luca. To know he’d send his son to the enemy was surprising, to say the least.
He sighed and blew out a breath. “I vowed to come like a dog when called. I had to make a deal with the devil.”
“The devil?”
“My mother,” he said, his voice stone-cold. “I had to make a choice after graduation from high school.”
I frowned at him. “And she gave you your freedom.”
“If you can call it that. Someday, she will make good on our deal. I’m just waiting for the nightmare to happen.”
“You won’t be alone,” I said to him. “If you’re with us, you won’t be alone in it.”
He said nothing as he stared at his empty glass.
“Cole—”
