Chapter Thirty
Nash
Pushing the speed button, my legs start moving faster on the treadmill.
I’m in our home gym, located in the shop, because I need to do something, anything, to stop the anger building inside me.
Waking up this morning in a bad mood was not what I had planned.
Neither was snapping at Ren in the kitchen during breakfast. The hurt in his eyes broke me, so I came out here to try to release the feelings bubbling inside me.
It’s not helping.
Letting out a frustrated growl, I kick the speed up again until my heart is racing, trying to escape the workout I’m putting my body through. I hear the door to the gym click closed, but I don’t stop. I can feel his glare from here.
“You trying to kill yourself?” Cole’s voice is full of frustration. I don’t answer. “Stop, Nash.”
“Can’t” is the only word I reply with. My lungs are burning, and my legs are on fire.
“Damn it, Nash.”
Cole moves quicker than I expect, ripping the safety key from its spot, causing the treadmill to power down.
Before I know it, Colson's arms are wrapped around me as he throws me to the padded ground. Sitting on me, he holds my arms down with his hands. He may be smaller than me, but I know how strong he is. He’s unsuspectingly strong, which always helps him win whatever fight he ends up in.
“What the fuck is your problem?” Cole glares down at me.
I can feel his hardness against my stomach.
I know he likes it rough, so this shouldn’t be surprising, but for some reason it is.
When I don’t answer, he looks between my eyes before slamming his lips to mine.
We fight for control with our tongues, but when his hands release my arms and grab my face, I easily flip him to his back, switching our positions.
Breaking our mouths apart, I leave a trail of sloppy kisses as I work my way down his body.
His gym shorts do nothing to hide his erection, and I’m pleasantly surprised when I tug them down and his cock springs free.
I lick my lips before swiping my tongue across his tip and swallowing the bead of precum decorating it.
I suck him between my lips, taking him all the way to the back of my throat.
Cole lets out a groan as his hands find my hair and his hips rise.
Bobbing my head up and down to meet his thrusts, I run a finger through the saliva sliding down his cock and slip it to play with the rim of his ass.
Another moan leaves Cole’s mouth as I push my finger in slowly and back out, repeating the process until I feel him twitch inside my mouth.
“I need more, Nash.” His voice is just above a whisper.
There’s a pop sound as I lift my mouth from him, and I remove my finger. Cole’s breathing is heavy as he makes eye contact with me, and I know he’s feeling the loss of my warmth.
I grab him roughly and flip him over, removing his shorts completely before dragging his hips up.
I look around and quickly spot one of the many bottles of lube Ren keeps around the property.
I stand and kick off my shorts before reaching for the tube.
Kneeling behind him, I coat my fingers before shoving two inside of Cole, causing his gasp to turn into a moan.
Working him with my fingers, I drip lube onto my painfully hard cock, making sure I’m fully covered. I don’t plan on being gentle with him.
“Fuck, Nash. I need more.” Cole’s voice is breathless and needy.
“Beg for it,” I say, my tone deep and commanding.
“Fuck you,” Cole says between gritted teeth, and that reply earns him a hard slap on the ass. The red print that appears moments later makes me smile.
“That’s not what I said,” I say, amusement lacing my voice. I remove my fingers from Cole and grab his hips. He pushes his ass against my cock, and I spank him again, eliciting a whimper from him.
“I said, beg,” I growl, pulling at his hips and lining my cock up as I wait for him to give up control.
He lets out a sigh of surrender. “Please, Nash. Fuck me. We both need this. Please, I need more.” His needy plea is all it takes.
“Good boy.” I slam into him in one thrust, burying myself inside of him.
The grip I have on his hips will most likely bruise, but I don’t think either of us cares in this moment.
He’s right, though. I do need this. I need my mind turned off for any amount of time right now.
With everything going on lately, I need a moment to not think about anything.
Cole is the perfect distraction, and he knows it.
We don’t find ourselves alone together very often, but when we do, it’s because one of us needs to shut down the noise in our brains.
I angle my thrusts to find Cole’s prostate, and the noise that leaves his mouth is almost inhuman. I continue to pound into him ruthlessly, grunting as I chase my release. A tingle forms in my spine, and I know I’m close.
Letting go of one side of his hips, I lean forward, reaching around and grabbing his cock. I pump him with my hand in time with my thrusts. The sounds of our skin colliding and our moans fill the air around us until I brush my lips against Cole’s ear.
“Come for me, you dir—” My whispered words are cut off by a roar ripping out of Cole’s chest as ropes of come spill from his cock onto my hand and the mat.
I lean back and grab his hips, chasing my own release, which comes a few moments later.
I slam into him and still, filling him with myself.
Cole’s body is slack under mine as I pull out and lay on the ground next to him.
Our breathing is heavy, and when I roll him into my arms and our breaths even out, I lean in to kiss him gently.
He stands first, offering me his hand. I take it, and he leads me to the shower beside the gym.
We shower together in silence for a while, but when Cole starts massaging shampoo into my hair, he speaks up.
“Are you doing alright, Nash?” His voice is quiet as his hands work my scalp.
Letting out a sigh, I answer him honestly. “I’m stressed, Cole. This whole situation is weird. We’re losing money going to these random places for jobs that don’t even exist. We have to have a security system now, for fuck’s sake.” I shake my head.
Cole hums in response. I turn to wash the bubbles from my hair, my mind running a hundred miles a minute trying to piece things together.
“We’ll figure it out. Whoever it is will give up at some point,” he states as if he believes it to be true.
“You keep telling yourself that.”
I move to let Cole under the spray of water before stepping out and wrapping my lower body in a towel. Before I touch the door handle, Cole’s voice rings out once more.
“You need to apologize to Ren. He didn’t deserve to have you snap at him like you did.”
Lowering my head, I let my shoulders sag. I turn the handle and step out to get dressed.
“I know,” I whisper to myself.
I take my time putting clothes on before heading into the house to look for Ren. I find him in his room, sitting on his bed, laughing with Lucy. Quiet falls around them when they notice me in the doorway.
“I’m going to start lunch. I’ll give you guys some privacy,” Lucy says, standing up.
She leans in and whispers something to Ren, causing him to give her a smile and a laugh.
She gives me a stern look as she passes by on her way through the door.
I listen to her footsteps going down the hall.
Once I hear her music playing through the speakers in the kitchen, I make my way to Ren’s bed and sit down beside him, keeping my eyes firmly on the ground.
“I’m so sorry, Ren. I had no right to snap at you this morning. There’s not a single excuse for it.”
“I’m not going to say it’s okay because it wasn’t.
” Ren’s voice is short and full of hurt.
I nod my head. He lets out a sigh. “I know you’re stressed and worried about what’s going on, but we all are.
We need to hold it together. We can’t go around being rude to each other and pushing each other away. That’s not what we do.”
There’s a lump in my throat that I try to clear before replying.
“I know. I’m sorry. I realize I made a complete ass of myself.
” I look over at him to see his eyes are pointed down at his fingers pulling on each other in his lap.
I reach my hand over and place it on top of his.
His gaze meets mine. “I love you, Ren. I never meant to hurt you.”
His eyes water, and he gives me a half-smile before grabbing my hand in his. “I love you too, Nash.”
I reach my other arm towards him. “Come here, Sweet Boy.”
Ren crawls over and straddles my lap, melting his body into my chest. I kiss the top of his head and squeeze him closer to me.
“You might want to apologize to Lucy, too,” Ren says, lifting his chin to look at me.
“What? Why?” Confusion fills my voice and face.
“Lucy doesn’t like how you snapped at me either. You know how we were laughing when you came in?”
“Yes?” It comes out of my mouth more as a question than a statement.
“She was telling me all the ways she was going to fuck with you until you apologized. You might want to check your boots before you put them on again. She mentioned something about shaving cream and glitter?” Ren giggles before returning his head to my chest.
Groaning, I close my eyes and lean my head back. “Where did she get glitter from?”
“No idea, but apologizing to her should happen sooner rather than later. She’s probably already started.” Ren smiles up at me, and I chuckle.
“Alright. In a minute, though. I want to hold you a little longer.” I lean back and lift his chin, placing a gentle kiss on his lips. I know I’ll be making this up to him for a while, and a kiss is a good place to start the groveling process.
After a few minutes, we stand and walk to the kitchen, fingers threaded together. Lucy glares at me until she notices our hands together. She looks between us before letting out a groan.
“Don’t tell me you guys made up already?” She stares at Ren.
“We did.” Ren grins and lifts my hand to kiss it.
I hear her mutter to herself, but I can’t make out what she’s saying.
“I want to apologize to you too, Lucy.” Her gaze snaps back to mine, and she cocks a brow. “I shouldn’t have snapped at Ren, and you shouldn’t have had to see that either. I will be better at expressing my emotions and not being an ass.”
Her shoulders sag as she lets out a breath. “Then, I should probably apologize too.”
I cock my head, and my eyebrows furrow in confusion.
Lucy drops her eyes to the ground as she drags her foot across in front of her. “I may have put shaving cream in your boot.”
I chuckle and open my mouth to reply, but she starts talking again.
“Also, there may be glitter under your pillow.” She says it quickly, glancing up at me with an apologetic look. I shake my head as Ren starts laughing, and it’s not long before Lucy and I join him.
Cole walks in a few moments after the laughter has died down, and we sit for lunch at the table. My mood has increased a significant amount by being around the people I care about most. I watch as everyone talks and jokes and laughs together, and I can’t help the smile that spreads across my face.
