Chapter 24 #3
“Well then, take your time. I’m enjoying the view from down here.
” He laughed and pulled me closer for a long, deliberate kiss while my body adjusted to accommodate his length.
When I was ready, one gentle rotation of my hips made his eyes roll until he jerked his head back against the grass. “Fuck, you feel incredible.”
The pace I set was as steady and rhythmic as the waves lapping against the shore. Our gazes locked. He massaged my ass, giving me a heavenly smile that flooded me with a delicious ache. The filthy encouragement and praise he breathed just for me made me whimper his name.
“You’re taking it like such a good girl, aren’t you? Keep riding my cock just like that.” Reiven dragged his gaze down my body, as if he had reverently starved for months, and now could allow himself to devour the sweet poison he claimed to be deadly.
“R-Reiven,” I moaned, too blinded by ecstasy to challenge him. Heat pulsed and coiled in my core. My skin felt feverish, despite the cool ocean wind that played with my hair. Overwhelming, intoxicating sensations weakened me until I couldn’t move fast enough to keep up. I whined his name again.
“Fucking hell, you’re tight,” he groaned. “Are you going to come for me?”
“Take over, I-I can’t—”
“‘Take over’ what?”
I was already gasping for air, but that made my jaw drop further. I was desperate. So fucking desperate that at first, I couldn’t put together what it was he wanted me to say. The answer hid in the dark glimmer of his eyes. A veiled desire to dominate, and a hunger to hear me ask for it.
“Take over. P-please, Reiven.”
He gripped my chin between his fingers and forced me to look right into his eyes. “If you look away from me or close your eyes, I’ll stop, understand? So eyes here.”
He’s going to make me look in his eyes the whole time? That’s so unfair. Cruel and unusual.
But the longer I thought about it, it only made the aching need inside me wind tighter.
The scent of wood smoke, blown by the tropical breeze, enveloped me.
Rei dug his fingers into my ass and hips, holding me in place.
He slowly pushed himself deeper than I had taken him on my own, until the pressure and friction hit a point inside me that made me suck in a tremulous breath.
“Right—right there.”
That smug grin I’d come to love quirked his lips. “Right there?” With a strained groan, Reiven began pounding into me hard and fast to keep that white-hot sensation flooding through my core.
Everything intensified. Staring desperately into his eyes, completely at his mercy, I had to dig my nails into his shoulders to keep from falling apart.
But soon, wave after wave of pleasure carried me away into an abyss of white sparks until the only word left etched on my tongue was his name.
All that tightness and heat released in one exhilarating shatter that thundered throughout my body.
Somehow, I just knew. If I came apart at the seams, everything would be alright. Reiven would kiss every broken piece of me and painstakingly put me back together.
Warmth flooded inside me, and Reiven lay back, a contented grin spreading like honey across his face. Pulling me to lie on his chest, he closed his eyes. “Hmm. Seeing all the emotion in your eyes and how pretty you are when you come undone made all the edging worth it.”
I chuckled, and lifted off his chest to peer down at his face, flushed and satisfied. “Rei, was that us leaping into the void?”
He laughed. “Diving headfirst.”
“Well then, what do you see in that mysterious, hollow space?”
Rei pressed his lips together, staring beyond me up at the sky.
A cool nighttime breeze harmonized between us in the silence, rustling the bushes and palms, disturbing the grass around us.
Ocean waves melded with the wind, melodic and ethereal.
Then there was my heart. Quickened, demanding thuds against my ribs that sang over the wind and waves.
For a moment, I almost thought he wasn’t going to answer me.
His gaze slid from the sky back to my face, and his jaw slackened as he focused on me.
Like what he saw there had him entranced.
Without tearing his eyes away from mine, Rei slowly pulled my hand to his lips, pressing a kiss to the tips of my fingers.
When he finally spoke, his voice was quiet, almost weak.
“I see an ocean of endless constellations. A world more enchanting than any other, painted in cerulean and navy.” Reiven dragged his fingers through the wavy, tousled bangs that hung down my temples, carefully, as if they were threads of gold as thin as spider silk.
I was lost in his eyes. Because there, in the darkness flecked with the red of the nearby coals, I saw the same thing he did.
A sea of stars, swirling in an abyss of obsidian.
A reflection of the night sky above us, an echo of celestial light I had never truly appreciated until I saw it within his gaze. Perfection. Safety. Love.
That void truly was…beautiful.
