49. Deacon
Chapter 49
Deacon
I’ve given Henri all the space I possibly can. At the cost of being back to square one with my wolf.
The ancestors are back to being nosy and judgmental. It’s too much on a daily basis. I’m not strong enough for it. I’m back to micro-dosing and hiding the usage from my siblings.
Henri, however, has taken all the space between us and gone one step further, having left with Cade and Thalia on to Louisiana to meet up with another pack Alpha and discuss who the fuck knows what. I didn’t finish reading Thalia’s text. Instead I sent her an article on how a bunch of grannies knitting sweaters has saved some penguins.
Ms. Gertie tells me I need to give her time and that she’ll see what she’s missing. But it’s not like I’ve given her anything to miss.
Sobriety is too hard. Finding strength to fix the dumb wolf and the stupid gift is pointless. His rioting every time I put him under is getting tiring, and the more I push, the more violent he gets.
I’ll go feral. Problem solved.
