Smokeshow for the Mafia Prince

Young firefighter Dashiell Novak hauls mafia prince Lorenzo Diamante out of a house fire, and the rescue immediately makes Dash a target.

The Diamante family does not forget what it owes, so when hired killers close in, Lorenzo insists on paying that debt himself.

The price of that protection is a shared roof and a public story that the two men are dating.

Days in Lorenzo's house make the pretense harder to read: Dash begins to doubt how much of the cold heir's attention is performance, while Lorenzo wants the man he promised to guard in a way he cannot order into line.

Away from that house, Dash and the crew at Station 27 chase a serial arsonist burning through San Francisco, and Lorenzo hunts the murderer of his father.

The two investigations keep bending toward one fire, and both the Diamante empire and Dash's life are in its path.
