RIVANs nightmare / battameez admi

Hey hiiii mayawiyans!!

Enjoy the update!!!

Trust me, I never imagined you guys could actually almost complete the target.

And yeah, I did give a high target because there's so much pressure on me due to my upcoming exams, and I need time. I just can't update here. I also have to look after the readers who are paying me, so I have to manage everyone.

I honestly thought I'd get enough time because you guys usually complete the targets really fast. I thought, at max, you'd reach 3K comments and 5K votes, and then I'd update. But when I opened the app... damn, you guys actually did it! Honestly, thank you so much.

And even if you hadn't completed the target, the update would still have come.

You guys know that. So, to those saying the author is cruel and all no, it's not like that.

It's just that my exams are coming, and I don't want to open Instagram, Wattpad, or anything else right now.

Sometimes the stress gets so overwhelming that I feel depressed, and that's why I wanted to take a break.

That's the only reason I gave such a high target before leaving.

And here's the double update! As someone said in the comments that they wanted a double update, I'm fulfilling that wish. I hope you all enjoy it, and now let's wait for the next update... though it might take some time.

Next update target

The first thing I noticed was the sound.

Thud.

Thud.

Thud.

A deep, heavy sound.

Rhythmic.

Relentless.

Like something powerful was crashing against a wall over and over again.

I frowned in my sleep.

Trying to ignore it.

Trying to bury myself deeper into whatever dream I was having.

Because I was a heavy sleeper.

A ridiculously heavy sleeper.

The type of person who could sleep through alarms, thunderstorms, and entire family arguments.

Reyansh bhaiyya often complained that if the world ended, I would probably ask for five more minutes of sleep.

So naturally, waking me up wasn't an easy task.

But whoever or whatever was making that noise was clearly determined.

Thud.

Thud.

Thud.

The sound echoed again.

Louder this time.

My eyebrows scrunched together.

Slowly...

very slowly...

my eyes fluttered open.

For a few seconds, I simply stared upward.

Blankly.

Confused.

Half asleep.

My brain working at the speed of an injured turtle.

I blinked once.

Then twice.

Then a third time.

Still staring.

Something felt wrong.

Very wrong.

Because the ceiling above me wasn't mine.

I knew my room.

Every corner.

Every shadow.

Every tiny crack.

This ceiling?

Completely unfamiliar.

My sleepy brain finally started processing that information.

And immediately panicked.

Wait.

What?

I blinked harder.

My eyes scanned the room.

The enormous windows.

The dark furniture.

The massive bedroom.

The expensive decor.

The masculine colors.

The unfamiliar scent lingering in the air.

I froze.

Completely.

The sleep vanished from my body.

Where the hell was I?

I sat upright so fast that the blanket tangled around my legs.

My heart immediately started racing.

One second.

Just one second.

Let me think.

Think, Devyani.

Think.

Last night...

I was with Zaid.

We had gone for ice cream.

Then his phone rang.

Business call.

I waited in the car.

I remember being tired.

Very tired.

Then...

Then...

Then...

Nothing.

My memory ended there.

A horrible realization struck me.

Oh my God.

Had I been kidnapped?

My eyes widened.

I immediately looked around again.

The room definitely screamed rich psychopath energy.

Which wasn't helping.

At all.

My heartbeat doubled.

Who kidnaps people from ice cream parlors?

What kind of nonsense is this?

Was this London?

Was I even in London anymore?

Had someone trafficked me to another country?

My imagination was already running faster than Formula One.

Thud.

The loud sound echoed again.

This time close enough to make me physically flinch.

I nearly jumped.

"Mummy"

Another thud.

Then another.

And another.

The noise seemed to be coming from somewhere nearby.

Very nearby.

Like right outside the room.

My panic paused briefly.

Because now curiosity was taking over.

Slowly, I pushed the blanket aside and swung my legs off the bed.

The floor felt cold beneath my feet.

I stood up carefully.

Still trying to understand what was happening.

My gaze moved around the room again.

Then stopped.

A familiar white shirt lay folded neatly nearby.

I frowned.

Why did it look familiar?

My eyes narrowed.

Then widened.

Wait.

No.

No no no.

Absolutely not.

My heart skipped.

There was only one person I knew who wore white shirts like they were part of his personality.

One person.

One extremely annoying person.

One jungli man.

One battameez monster.

One walking disaster.

One Mr Thakur.

Silence.

I stared at the shirt.

The shirt stared back.

We both knew exactly what this meant.

"No."

I whispered.

Then immediately

"No."

Louder.

My eyes widened further.

"Oh no."

The realization hit like a truck.

I looked around the room again.

This time noticing details I had missed.

The watch collection.

The black marble wall.

The scent.

The furniture.

The terrifyingly expensive taste.

Everything screamed one name.

RIVAN.

My soul practically left my body.

I whispered.

"He kidnapped me."

My hands flew to my head.

"He actually kidnapped me."

I started pacing.

"Wonderful."

Just wonderful.

Normal ex-husbands send messages.

This man apparently abducted people.

Fantastic.

My life was amazing.

Absolutely amazing.

Thud.

Another loud sound echoed.

I turned sharply toward the source.

The noise was definitely coming from somewhere outside.

Maybe a gym?

Maybe a training room?

Maybe

My thoughts stopped.

A terrible suspicion forming.

Slowly...

very slowly...

I moved toward the bedroom door.

Each step cautious.

Each step suspicious.

My heartbeat growing louder.

The sound outside continued.

Thud.

Thud.

Thud.

Like someone was beating the life out of something.

Knowing pati......Mr Thakur

that possibility wasn't impossible.

I reached the door.

Placed my hand on the handle.

And swallowed.

Hard.

My hand froze on the door handle.

Something felt strange.

Very strange.

I looked down at myself.

And immediately stopped breathing.

For a second my brain completely shut down.

Because I wasn't wearing my dress.

I was wearing...

A shirt.

A white shirt.

A very familiar white shirt.

My eyes widened so much they almost hurt.

No.

No no no.

My hands immediately grabbed the fabric.

The sleeves were too long.

The collar slightly loose.

The scent lingering on it was unmistakable.

My heart slammed violently against my ribs.

Him.

I was wearing his shirt.

For a moment I simply stood there staring at myself.

Unable to process anything.

My mind instantly began throwing a thousand questions at me.

How did this happen?

Who changed my clothes?

Why was I wearing his shirt?

How long had I been here?

Stop.

Stop thinking.

My breathing became uneven.

Fragments of memories flashed through my head.

The realization made my stomach twist.

I tightened my grip on the shirt unconsciously.

The fabric carried his scent.

A scent I hadn't experienced in two years.

A scent I had spent countless nights trying to forget.

Yet somehow my stupid heart recognized it immediately.

Like it had been waiting.

Like it remembered.

The thought annoyed me.

I forced myself to move.

Because standing there wasn't helping.

The thudding noise echoed again.

Louder.

Closer.

Pulling me back to reality.

I swallowed.

Then slowly pushed the door open.

The bedroom connected to another area.

A large space.

For a few moments I couldn't understand what I was looking at.

Then I realized.

I took another step forward.

And another.

The closer I got, the more nervous I became.

My palms felt cold.

My breathing felt wrong.

Something inside me was becoming restless.

Anxiety.

Fear.

Anticipation.

I couldn't tell.

Then suddenly

I saw him.

And everything stopped.

The world.

The noise.

The room.

My thoughts.

Everything.

My feet froze where they were.

My words died before reaching my lips.

Because there he was.

Standing across the room.

Not behind a phone.

Not in memories.

Not in photographs.

Real.

Painfully real.

For a moment my brain refused to process the sight.

My gaze remained locked on him.

Unable to move away.

Unable to think.

Unable to breathe.

My hands started trembling.

A small tremor.

Then a stronger one.

My heartbeat became erratic.

Fast.

Too fast.

The kind that made your chest hurt.

The kind that made your lungs forget how to work.

Suddenly every emotion I had buried over the last two years came rushing back at once.

The loneliness.

The anger.

The waiting.

The endless questions.

The countless nights.

The hope.

The heartbreak.

Everything.

My throat tightened painfully.

I took an involuntary step backward.

Then another.

My vision blurred slightly.

No.

No.

Why was this happening?

Why couldn't I breathe?

Why did my chest feel so tight?

I opened my mouth.

Trying to say something.

Anything.

But no words came out.

Only silence.

My mind was screaming.

Yet my body refused to cooperate.

I...

I...

I couldn't think.

Couldn't process.

My breaths became shorter.

Shallower.

The room suddenly felt too small.

Too crowded.

Too overwhelming.

I pressed a hand against my chest.

Trying to calm myself.

Trying to force air into my lungs.

But it wasn't working.

My heartbeat continued racing.

Louder.

Faster.

Almost painful.

The edges of my vision blurred.

My knees felt weak.

And for the first time in a very long time

I felt afraid.

Not of him.

Not of the room.

Not of being here.

I was afraid of myself.

Afraid of what his presence was doing to me.

Afraid that despite everything...

despite the divorce...

despite the abandonment...

despite two years of silence...
