Chapter 32
REVENGE
“Yo, what was that about?” Dexz asked as he and Burner sat in Pretti’s living room, catching up.
Dexz was still in bad shape, but he healed at home in his recliner with Pretti and two in-home nurses.
After not being able to speak clearly for a long time, he finally could.
Burner was filling him in on what had been going on while he was down, but the call he received interrupted their chill time.
“That was Lunden’s bitch, Bambi. She said she wanna drop a dime on that nigga,” Burner pierced his eyes on Dexz.
“Oh, word? You believe that bitch, or you think it’s a setup?
I can’t believe that nigga was working with the niggas that killed my folks.
Niggas ain’t loyal at all.” He shook his head.
Burner had found out everything and told Dexz.
The streets were talking, but Lunden was hiding because his name was getting a bad rap.
“It don’t matter how long you’ve known a nigga. If a muhfucka out for himself, he will cross anybody–even his own brother.”
“You right, my nigga, but he ain’t never betrayed me. I guess he took the situation with Pretti to heart.”
“Probably so. I want the Dominicans’ head, and I want that nigga, Lunden’s. You can’t get out here with me, so I’m going to grab some of your goons and have them go to war with me. Niggas are not gettin’ away with this,” Burner expressed, seriously.
“I appreciate you handling this shit for me, bro. If I was on my feet, I’d get this nigga myself. Show these niggas no mercy.”
“I’ma bring them niggas’ head to you as a trophy…”
Dexz chuckled. “A’ight, do that.”

Hours Later…
Burner stood in front of the Aloft Hotel, blowing a cigarette in the cold, waiting for Bambi. He had his gun in his waistband, off safety, and one of Dexz’s goons was with him. He was becoming impatient, so he started to pace.
“If this bitch on some bullshit, I’m blasting her on sight,” Burner said out loud as he stomped the butt of his cigarette into the ground. His phone started vibrating in his hand. He looked at it, and it was a text from Bambi.
Lunden’s Bitch: I’m sorry I fell asleep. My room number is 704. I’m here alone, so don’t worry, and I don’t have any weapons.
Burner wasted no time going inside and taking the elevator to her floor. When he got to her door, it was already open.
“Close it if you want. It can stay open if you don’t feel comfortable. It’s just me and my girlfriend Bria in here. She is asleep in the bedroom,” he heard her say as he stepped into the cold room.
“I’ll close it, but my nigga is in the hallway for my protection, so don’t try no dumb shit.” He lied just to scare her because he was alone until it was time to execute.
He looked around and spotted Bambi sitting at the table, looking out the window at the city.
The room was dim, and it reeked of perfume and weed.
She was wearing a white robe, and her hair was curly.
Burner couldn’t lie… she was a bad bitch, but he knew he was there for business.
She blew smoke from her nose from the blunt she was smoking as she watched Burner walk over to the table.
“I’m happy you trusted me and came here. I’m not in the business to hurt you. I’m here to help.”
Burner sat at the table across from her, and they pierced their eyes on each other.
“So, what you gotta tell me about this nigga, Lunden?” he asked, getting straight to the point.
“Well, first of all, I know he gave the Dominicans all of Dexz’s whereabouts. The day he got shot, they had been following him. Not only do they want him dead; they wanted to send a message to the streets, but Lunden had everything to do with them finding Dexz.”
“Damn. Well, I hope I didn’t just come over here for that. The streets already been talkin’. What’s his whereabouts? That’s what I need to know.”
“First, where's my money? I don’t mean to sound greedy, but that nigga put me and my sister out. I need to make my money how I can.”
Burner dug into his pocket and tossed five grand on the table.
Bambi ran her stiletto nails through the money, counting some of it.
She walked off and got her phone along with a pen and pad.
She wrote down his address and phone number.
Burner left without a word and headed to the address he'd been given. He called Dexz’s goon, Bino, and gave him the address because he was already on standby.
However, Burner realized he’d driven two hours outside New York.
When Bino arrived, it was three in the morning. A huge two-story house sat with three cars in the driveway. All the lights were on, and they could see someone walking around through the curtains.
“Oh, this nigga was ducked off for real, but we about to blow his whole spot.” Burner cocked his gun back after he placed the extended clip in.
Bino slid on a ski mask and slid his gun into his waist. The two crept up to the door and looked through the window.
The curtains were slightly open so they could see in.
Burner looked at Lunden sitting at his dining room table with an older-looking man.
Bino squinted, trying to get a good look at the man Lunden was sitting with. He frowned.
“Yo, that’s the boy Diego. The nigga that killed Dexz’s parents back in the day,” he whispered.
“Oh, for real? It look like we ‘bout to kill two birds with one stone.” Burner wasted no time using a credit card to break into Lunden’s house.
He and Bino crept down the foyer as quietly as they could.
Burner peeped into the living room and saw Lunden snorting a long line of cocaine.
In the back of his mind, he always felt like Lunden did coke because of his impulsive ways.
He always said he didn't, but he always had a sniffle he couldn’t get rid of that Burner knew from anywhere.
“Let’s get these dopehead niggas.”
Before Lunden and Diego knew it, Burner and Bino had them hemmed against the wall with their guns to their heads.
“Yo, how the fuck you get in my crib, and who the fuck sent you niggas?” Lunden shouted. He was highly pissed off that somebody had broken in.
“I sent me, nigga. You think we don’t know you sittin’ up in here doin’ dope with his arch enemy? You snake ass nigga, where the drugs and the dope you owe, my nigga?” Burner roared.
“Oh, you and that nigga Dexz think y'all bold? If that nigga Dexz think he’s gon’ get away with this, he got another thing comin’,” Diego said with his hands against the wall as Bino checked his pockets and took everything.
“You know how many people want your ass dead, Diego? Ain’t nobody gon’ retaliate or miss you,” Bino said. He looked over at Burner, waiting on his next move. Once Burner gave him a head nod, Bino wasted no time blowing Diego’s brains out, causing Lunden to flinch. He let his body drop to the floor.
“Now, take me to your safe, nigga. I know you got one,” Burner said to Lunden.
“You gon’ kill me, nigga? After everything I did for you and that nigga, Dexz? I'm that nigga brother, not you. Both you niggas gon’ regret ever killing me!” Lunden didn’t want to die. He felt like Dexz was betraying him by putting a hit on him, not realizing he had put a hit out on Dexz first.
“Nigga, fuck all that. I’ll find the safe myself.” Burner let off his whole clip into Lunden, sending his last bullet through his dome.
After Burner and Bino cleaned the house of anything valuable, Burner was ready to deliver on his promise.
He sent Bino to the car for the cooler he had in it, and they both dragged Lunden and Diego’s bodies to Lunden’s backyard.
Burner found a shed and went for the chainsaw.
With five cuts through each of their necks, their heads disconnected.
Bino couldn't believe the horror he was seeing.
He thought they came to shoot, rob, and go, but Burner was on some other shit.
Bino started feeling queasy but knew he couldn't leave his DNA at the scene, so he swallowed it.
After Burner stuffed the heads into the cooler, Bino found every camera in the house and took them. Burner made sure he took all of Lunden’s electronics because he knew that’s where he probably kept the tapes.
They drove back to Harlem in silence, but Burner had some shit to show Dexz after he went home to get all the blood off him. They could now move on without the poisonous people that were messing up life for them...
