Chapter Ninety-Two

Scarlett

Being awoken from the best sleep I’ve ever had by loud knocking and barked commands doesn’t really surprise me in the slightest. I think that was Riley’s voice out there, yelling at us to get up.

Kinda weird since he’s been avoiding the jet since we got here, but I’m guessing he knows we’re not gonna be flying out of here now, or he wouldn’t be so keen to wake us.

“Ugh!” Kian grumbles. “Go away!”

He snuggles into my side, making it clear he has no intention of getting out of the bed.

Trick yawns and sits up at my left side, stretching a little.

I can see my mark on his throat, and it makes me touch the mark he made on mine.

Still there, and still insanely sensitive.

We’re mated now.

The three of us.

Bond together for life.

It makes me smile. I can’t believe I was so afraid of this.

It felt incredible last night, and it feels even better this morning.

I sit up slowly, making Kian groan as he realizes the decision has been made.

We’re awake now. It’s definitely time to get up.

“Please tell me there’s a shower hiding in this jet somewhere,” I plead, looking from Trick to Kian.

“There isn’t,” Kian says as he sits up, leaning back against the pillows. “But there’s a hose thing under the sink you can attach to the faucet and use like it’s a shower. It’s not the best, but it’s better than nothing. There’s a drain in the bathroom floor for that reason.”

“We’re all gonna be desperate to shower by the time we get to the resort.”

Trick’s not wrong. It’s so warm and the three of us smell like we spent all night fucking, which is only the truth, but it’s also not ideal when there are two guys out there who are probably not gonna like what we’ve done.

I’m kinda scared to bring that up.

Because I might be the reason my favorite band in the world break up, and even if I’ve gotten two mates out of the deal, I kinda hate that I’ve caused trouble between them.

Best to get on with what needs to be done.

I’m not gonna think about the consequences until they hit me in the face.

“Well, do either of you want to use the bathroom before I hit the kind of a shower?”

Trick nods. “I’ll be back in a sec.”

“I’ll go outside when you’re showering,” Kian says.

Trick leaves the room, and Kian sighs.

“Too bad we have to go for one big pain-in-the-ass walk now.”

“Yeah, it doesn’t exactly sound like fun,” I admit.

“I’m sure we’ll find ways to have fun,” he teases.

“Maybe not until we get to the resort.”

He looks so sad. “We’re mated now. It’s not gonna be easy to pretend I’m not walking around with a boner all day and night.”

I laugh. “It’s a few days at most. We’ll be worn out from all the walking.”

“I’ll never be too worn out to do things to satisfy you,” he tells me, reaching out to stroke the mark he gave me. “I just wish we had more time alone together to enjoy being mated.”

“Me too,” I admit.

He straightens to kiss me, and Trick steps back into the room as we break apart.

“Bathroom’s all yours,” he tells me.

“That means the forest’s all mine,” Kian says, getting up surprisingly fast.

I slip out of the bed after him.

He picks up his underwear and heads out of the room.

“There’s a towel outside the bathroom door,” Trick says as he snags his boxers off the floor. “I’ll stay in the cabin until you’re done so no one else will see you until you’re dressed.”

I kiss his chest. “Thanks.”

And then I head into the bathroom naked.

A girl’s gotta shower. Especially in this heat.
