185. A Deep Fear Grew Like Ivy Around My Heart
A Deep Fear Grew Like Ivy Around My Heart
What did this mean for the Titans?
Zeus had made terrible threats
to the Gods who did not take his side,
but cruellest of all were his threats
of what he would do their daughters
and wives – that we would belong
to the Olympian Gods to do
with us what they willed.
But most importantly of all,
what did this mean for my children?
Especially my child of victory, Nike?
I had demanded that Pallas make her
a Goddess so that she could have
protection that I did not.
But could goddesshood protect her
from the lust of more powerful Gods?
