Chapter 19

CHAPTER NINETEEN

Josue

“Mmm…” she moaned, my palms running up the length of her thigh as she recklessly rode my face. I hated to admit it, but the girl was spoiling me. Waking up to eating pussy was the perfect way to spend a morning, and I prayed that times like this would never end.

“Oh, fuck, papi, you're doing that so good. I think I'm about to come,” she announced, as she leaned up to rest her hands against the headboard, and I reached up to fondle her breasts.

Fuck, this woman was so fucking sexy. I couldn't risk getting into any more fights with her ass. My daily dose of her made it too hard to quit.

“Yeah, that's right. Come for me, mami. Ride my fucking face like a puta sucia. Put that pussy in my face,” I demanded, lapping up every trace of her blissful release as she came on my face. Trembling, she climbed off, lying down next to me claiming exhaustion.

“Aww man, it's like I have no energy.” I laughed, bringing her legs to my shoulders as I teased her entrance.

“Nice try, but you said if I made you come, you'd let me stick the tip in.”

“Boy, it ain't never just a tip with you,” she argued, as we both moaned at my first stroke, her hands cradling my ass as she pulled me deeper.

“Mmm…what happened to you not having any energy? Now you want me all the way inside you?” I teased, my mouth meeting hers in a smothering kiss.

“Just shut up and fuck me,” she cried, as I bit my lip and leaned up to take her hips in my hand.

“Fuck that pussy's so fucking wet for me. You feel so fucking good, mami,” I groaned, driving into her with powerful force.

The sound of our skin slapping and mutual moans had masked the drills of construction outside, and before long I was leaning back on top of her, ensuring that she felt every inch of me. “Oh, fuck, mami. Is this my pussy?”

“Yeah, baby. It's all yours,” she cried, the depth and closeness reeling me in all the way in.

"You gonna let me come in my pussy, mami?”

"Yeah, papi. Come in this pussy,” she pleaded, her voice so desperate I could barely hold back.

Losing a battle with lust, in a few finishing thrusts, I emptied inside her warm walls, wasting no effort to milk myself dry.

Wiping the sweat from my forehead, I rushed up to grab some water and a warm towel to help her get cleaned up.

“Can you tell I missed you?” I laughed, being extra careful with her privates.

“Only the last three times you hounded me. I wasn't even gone for that long,” she giggled.

“Yeah, well, it was long enough. And you didn't seem to be complaining when I was so-called hounding you.

If you don't recall, the second time was me waking up with my dick in your mouth. Giggling over there like you had no role to play.” Climbing on top of me, she put her hands over my mouth, pulling away when she felt my tongue against her fingertips.

“Eww, did you just lick me?” Her eyes widened in surprise, pinning my arms to the bed as she leaned in to kiss me.

“You ain't seem to mind a few minutes ago, but if you want to take advantage of me again, do your worst,” I flirted, as her phone went off, and she took the focus off me to answer it. Thought it better than any to get up, as she took the conversation into another room.

“Everything okay?” I asked upon her return, and she met me with a nod, and got comfortable underneath the comforter. “You know, you don't have to leave the room to have a conversation with your daughter.” At that, she winced, her discomfort clear on her face.

“Yeah, but I just know you're not a kid person. I don't want to, like…burden you,” she admitted, my mouth wide open at her harsh assumption.

“To be fair, I only learned about your daughter a few days ago, and I never said I hated kids. I just chose not to make them. You don't have to hide that side of you for my sake. Please get it out of your mind that I’d ever ask that of you.”

“Yeah, but I don't want you to feel pressured to ask me about her.”

“Well, if I'm asking, it's because I genuinely want to know.

We talk about everything else. I don't even know what your kid looks like,” I admitted.

I know it had been a touchy subject, considering how I found out and why she'd keep it hidden, but with her keeping that part of her close to her chest, I wanted her to feel like… like I could be a part of her future.

“I mean, I could show you some pictures,” she beamed, as I sat up, letting her lay her head on my chest.

“Whatever you're comfortable with.” Taking out her phone, she clicked onto a photo album labeled Mónica, anxiously biting her lip as she scrolled through the pictures.

“These ones are of me and her at the park,” she prefaced, the joy from the photos causing me to smile. They didn't share the same skin tone, but she'd certainly gotten her mom's cute cheeks and bright smile.

“She's cute, just like her mom. What's her name?”

Blushing, she replied. “Her name is Mónica.”

“Do you think I'll ever get to meet her?” I asked, knowing that the question posed as more of a measurement of how serious we were taking things.

Maybe we didn't always say it in words, but I wasn't with anyone else, and had no desire to be out there when I had a good thing right here.

If the way to her heart was embracing her kid, I wanted her to know I could handle all of that.

“I mean, only if you'd want to. She's only three.”

“I'd like to get to know someone you care about, especially since I'm not exactly going anywhere.

It doesn't have to be, like tomorrow or anything.

Just know that I'm open to it.” I couldn't explain it, but it was like she grew shyer talking about her.

I wasn't sure whether I had found it adorable or whether I just found everything that she did now as cute.

It was like out of nowhere, she sucker punched me, and all of a sudden, I was drunk in love.

“She really likes drawing and reading. Every time I go up to see her, she draws these pictures of me, and they're like really good.

I just wish I could be around more. I'm scared that one day I'll be gone too long, and she won't remember how to draw me.

It's just her grandmother is more stable at the moment. At least until I financially I can maintain my own place,” she worried.

Truth was, I wanted to take care of her, but the best way I could do that was helping her take care of herself.

Getting her better pay took time. She’d won her tenth fight in a row a few days ago, so she wasn’t broke, but the bigger money was endorsements and brand deals. I was slowly working on that.

“I think that's my own trauma screaming back at me, though. My mom would have a place to stay, but it wasn't always stable, so sleeping on the floor became a norm for me, since the most security she would have was at a boyfriend's house. I just want it to be my place,” she reiterated.

“At the rate you're going, you'll get there,” I reassured.

“She still gets excited when she sees me,” she radiated. “I look forward to when that's my every day.”

“If anyone deserves that, it's you. You're a beautiful person, inside and out, Sierra. And I'm sure that makes you an even better mother. I'm sure your daughter knows this and sees that,” I said, kissing her on the forehead.

“I hope so.”

“You've been so busy wearing me out. You make me forget we got work to do,” I hummed. “We should get up soon. Take that shower, so we don't reek of sex,” I joked. “One step closer to your goal, is gym time.”

***

I couldn’t pinpoint the problem but Sierra seemed elsewhere when we went over our casual combos. She was off, so it was throwing me off. She hadn’t wanted a break like all her other fights, and from the looks of things, she fucking needed it.

“Hey Medina, you just won a fight three days ago and you’re moving like this? And you want me to agree to let you fight DaCosta?”

“Fuck, I’m sorry. Let's just go again,” she dismissed, entering fighting stance.

“Be real with me, Medina. Is us fucking serving as a distraction?” I knew it wasn't fair, knowing I wouldn’t question whether a male’s sexual relationships served as distractions, but the on and off thing even threw me off sometimes, and if I was causing the issues, at least I could deal with it.

“I'm just frustrated, Josue. I'm allowed to be frustrated sometimes,” she snapped back, her leg meeting the kick shield I held. “It feels like you're going easy on me, and that's not what got me this far. I just need for you to be the kind of coach you were to me in the beginning.”

“There lies the problem, ma. I can never be the kind of coach to you who you started with. You’ve got a streak going.

The stakes are higher now. My expectations of you were lower in the beginning, and you were desperate to prove something to me.

My goal was to frustrate you so you’d walk away thinking we weren’t a good fit,” I admitted.

“But then you showed up. One time. Three times.

Determined to make yourself a name. A lot of stuff has happened in that time.

We happened, and as much as I like it, it's making me think it's causing the distraction.

With the custody of your daughter on the line, if I can't bring you this one. I fear that you'll resent me.”

“So, you don't think I could win?” she interrupted.

“Sierra, stop putting words in my mouth. It isn't about what I think you can do. And no, I don't think you can win. If you work hard enough, I know you can win. But you can't fight on an off day with someone like DaCosta. Even if I do agree to it, we got one of two options: either whatever we’re doing stops, or I push you harder than I’ve ever pushed you, and let me tell you, you’re gonna hate me too much to want to fuck me.”

“Well I’d rather risk it. Sometimes I just need to get out of myself, and if you take that away, all I will have to look forward to is training,” she admitted.

“Okay, I just want you to know what you're asking for. Because it's not that I go easy on you. You've just adjusted to all I've taught you so far. But be straight with me, what do you really want from this?”

“You already know what—”

“If I did, I wouldn't be asking. What would this fight really mean for you? Is it just about money?” I asked, watching her pace back and forth. “Are we working to fast track to a title fight? Or is the main objective just getting your daughter back?”

“Ugh, I don't know, Josue. I want the money. I want a belt. I want my daughter. I want it all! Most of all, I just want to prove…” she hesitated.

“Don't punk out on me now. What does my she-wolf want?”

“I just want to prove that I'm not some nobody. I want the world to burn for discounting a woman like me.”

“Who’s a woman like you?”

“A Philly girl. A single mother. A survivor of domestic violence. A Black Latina.”

“So, you want validation?” I asked for clarity.

“I want to be someone my daughter will be proud of. That despite my lows, the people rooting for me know that the only way is up.”

“So, you want to inspire people, get their respect?”

“Josue, I want everything! All the things the world tries to make me believe I’m not entitled to. I want when people are chanting my name, for it to actually mean something. That I'm not a nobody.”

“Good to see your claws out again, that's all I needed to hear.”

“For what?”

“I'm going to agree to the DaCosta fight,” I said, her screams filling the cage as she jumped in to hug me.

“Thank you, thank you, thank you,” she exclaimed, laying kiss after kiss on my face.

“Jesus Christ, you're getting all mushy on me, Medina. You're so lucky I fucking like that.”

“You like that?”

“I love that,” I confirmed. “But you're gonna regret accusing me of going soft on you. If I agree to this, you better not let me down.”
