Chapter 10
Lexi
Kicking the hotel door closed behind him, Floyd throws the chain on as I strip, heading toward the bathroom. He turns to find me in just my bra and panties, a low growl coming from the back of his throat as his eyes sweep over me appreciatively.
"I feel grubby," I say, unable to contain my giggles.
"Well, then I guess I'm going to have to soap up those curves for you."
He peels his shirt over his head, revealing his hairy, ripped chest. My pussy hums with anticipation as I turn on the shower, and soon the two of us are dripping wet while kissing underneath the hot water.
We take our time washing each other, savoring every moment.
The way his rough hands feel against my soapy skin is intoxicating.
When it's my turn to wash him, I take my time soaping up his length.
His moans grow louder as I stroke his slick cock.
Suddenly, Floyd pulls me close, pressing his wet, bearded face against mine.
I open my mouth to take his tongue, and his hand slides down to my ass, pressing his fingers against my flesh.
He then spins me around so that I have to balance myself against the tiles.
After a quick rinse off, I feel his hand press against my lower back, making my butt arch out toward him.
When he penetrates me, I cry out, taking his size as he slips inside inch by inch, and I melt into his touch.
Floyd digs his fingers into my hips as he takes all of me and groans out with a pleasure that sends electric tingles to my clit.
As if sensing that, he begins thrusting inside me while his right hand slides between my legs.
His fingers circle my clit, and I almost slip off the tile when my climax crashes through me.
When the last shudder leaves my body, Floyd grabs my hips again and begins slamming into me.
His groans echo in the bathroom. When he comes, he yells out my name as his hands slide up my wet back, gripping my shoulders with his wet, bearded face buried in my upper back.
His right hand slams up against the tile beside mine, and he loops his left arm around my waist as we rest there for a moment, our hearts pounding against our ribs.
When we catch our breath, Floyd helps me stand, and I turn in his slippery arms, kissing his chest and grinning up at him.
"If it's not too obvious, I'm madly in love with you," he says with a sexy smile.
I wrap my arms around his neck, pulling myself up to kiss him.
When we part, I whisper, "I love you too, Floyd McAlpin. I have ever since the summer solstice."
Winter winds howl outside as I cuddle against my boyfriend in front of a roaring fire. He gazes at me with his blue eyes and kisses the top of my head.
"Are you regretting moving up here on the mountain?" Floyd says with a sheepish grin.
"Not even for a hot second. It's cold in Phoenix too," I say, squeezing his leg.
"Maybe at night," he says with a snort.
"Well, I have my hulking mountain man to keep me warm, don't I?" I say, snuggling into his shoulder.
"That you do," Floyd says. After a beat, he adds, "Although it's summer in other parts of the world."
"What do you mean?" I ask, confused.
But instead of answering me, I watch my boyfriend slip off the couch and fall to one knee in front of me, the flames in the fireplace glowing around his colossal frame.
"It's summer in Queenstown," he says, a velvet ring box suddenly appearing in his hand.
"Queenstown, New Zealand?"
"Yes, my love," Floyd says, opening the ring box, revealing a princess-cut diamond ring sparkling in the firelight.
"Holy shit!" I blurt out.
Floyd softly chuckles. "Lexi Hodges, I don't know if it was fate that brought us together or what, but since that crazy moment in the market, I have been completely bowled over by you.
I hadn't admitted it to myself back then, but I know I fell in love with you that summer day when we danced at your cousin's wedding.
I'm in love with you, and I want to spend every single one of my days with you.
You are my everything. I want to spend the rest of my life with you. Will you marry me?"
"Of course I'll marry you!" I say, tumbling down to my knees and wrapping my arms around his neck, covering his face in kisses. "But what does this have to do with Queenstown?"
Floyd slides the ring onto my finger and raises my hand to his lips, kissing my knuckles.
"I have a travel agent ready to pull the trigger and get us on a plane in two days to elope in New Zealand. That is, if that sounds good to you," he says.
"Oh, it is summer there, isn't it?" I say with a laugh right as the chilly December wind sweeps across the roof of the mountain cabin.
"It sure is. And the trip I have planned will be for two weeks of summer warmth. Florence suggested it. She traveled there a couple of years ago and absolutely loved it."
"You don't have to ask me twice. Sounds amazing!"
Wildflowers cover the green hills around us as the mid-afternoon sun warms my neck.
Below, the lake glints bright blue, matching my fiancé's eyes as we hold hands listening to the officiant.
Mountains ring the valley, their highest peaks still snow-capped against the clear sky.
A gentle breeze dances through my hair, birdsong fills the air, and it's just the three of us: our officiant, the love of my life, and me.
When she says, "You may kiss the bride," Floyd grabs my face while I rise on my toes.
Our lips meet as we share our first married kiss. The sun warms us from above, and we have hours of daylight left to celebrate our nuptials.
