Epilogue
KYRA
One year later
This last year has been a wild ride. The Blushing Bean is thriving. We host multiple book clubs a month, and the cafe/bar is doing amazing. I am so proud of everything that I have accomplished over the last year and a half. Also, the growth that has happened.
It is a warm and sunny day on the island of Curacao, and it is also my wedding day.
Callum came through with my dreams of a gorgeous beach wedding at sunset.
This island is absolutely breathtaking. We are getting married on a small little private resort on the west side of the island, and I cannot wait to finally call Callum my husband.
The sunshine is coming through the gauzy curtains of my hotel room. Enjoying a slow morning, I am sipping on my coffee in bed when there is a knock at the door.
“Knock, knock, beautiful!” Nyx comes into my room with her dress bag in hand.
Callum is sleeping with Graham and Demitri. Nyx slept in here last night, but her guys wanted to take her to breakfast this morning, so she snuck off while I was still sleeping. Room service was delivered to my room a few hours ago with a cute note from Cal.
“Good morning, my beautiful bride. I can’t wait to see you at the end of that aisle. I love you.”
He had a giant breakfast burrito sent to the room, with a giant carafe of coffee and a little bowl of fruit. Cal knows exactly what I would want to start my day with.
“Good morning, Nixie!” I climb out of the giant bed and give her a hug.
“Are you ready to marry Cal?” She holds me in her arms.
“Absofuckinglutely!” We both burst into a fit of laughter, and she breaks off to pull her dress out of the garment bag.
Her dress is sky blue, made of light, flowy chiffon material. The straps come up and tie at the top of her shoulders in cute bows, and the skirt has ruffles that I can’t wait to see blow in the wind.
My dress is blush lace, and surprisingly, the only sparkle on the dress is a belt we added. It also makes my boobs look amazing, and I can’t wait for Callum to see them!
It’s time…
The wedding planner came and got Nyx and me from our room just a few minutes ago, and I am hiding behind a set of free-standing French doors.
From the quick glance I got, the scene is gorgeous. The sky is a perfect mix of pinks and oranges. The waves are gently lapping at the shore in a calming rhythm.
“Are you ready?” Graham asks. He is Cal’s best man and is walking down the aisle with Nyx.
“Couldn’t be more ready,” I answer him with an excited smile.
“Let’s do this!” Graham calls out, and the music starts playing.
The doors open, and I get a quick glimpse of Cal. Since we are getting married on the beach, the guys are just in white linen shirts and tan pants, like they walked off the set of a Sandals commercial. But he has never looked better. I squish my toes in the sand and take a deep breath.
My parents stand on either side of me. I asked both of them to walk me down the aisle, and I think my mom about died. She was so excited.
The sand is warm beneath my feet, and the view is perfect, but the only thing I can look at is Callum. He is lit in a perfect sunset glow, and I can’t help but thank whatever is out there that he is mine.
The end.
