Callum's POV
I imprinted my last ink on the map. I dropped the ink pen aside as I smiled to myself, deep down inside of me I was fulfilled with myself and how far I had come. I had sleepless night trying to draft out a plan of how I was going to attack dark moon pack with Ryder's help.
"This is all we need in order to execute our plan" I said, finally breaking the silence that consumed us.
"I'm with you in that but first of all we need to find a way to get into darkmoon pack without Max knowing" Ryder voiced out. I looked at him. I thrusted my hand into my pocket as I began to pace back and forth.
"You're right about that. I was so consumed in drafting out an attack plan that I forgot the most important thing that would lead us to the begining of our solidified victory" I said. I strode towards the table where the map was. I leaned down as I placed my elbow on the table.
"I think I have a legit plan.
Ryder grabbed a plain sheet of paper. He placed it on the table as he grabbed the ink pen. I was confused on what he was about to do but I knew I had to exercise a bit of patience in order to understand what his mind was up to.
He began to sketch on it. After some minutes, I looked at his drawing. I found it to be very familiar, it looked as though he was sketching out the building of dark moon pack. Yeah that was all I needed in getting my assumptions right.
"This is a sketch of darkmoon pack. It will help us as a guide in whatever we do. From the drawing you can see that the packhouse has 15 entrances but there's a doubt" he explained, grabbing my full attention.
"The entrances will all be sealed" we chorused the words at the same time.
"Damn it" I cursed out, slamming my balled fist on the table. "Why didn't I think of that?"
"You're not alone in that" he replied in a low tone. "There's something we can always do" he said, I nodded my head at him, giving him the go ahead.
"We could go through a tunnel southward and then the vent leading to the basement of the pack" Ryder revealed.
"We can do that, but we can't sneak in enough men through that way" I aired out.
"That's not a problem. We don't need too many men, the most important thing is to save liv and then we'll get ready to launch an attack soon after" he answered back, placing a finger under his chin as I watched him shake his head.
Everything was so overwhelming. The only thing that kept me going was my hunger for victory alongside my yearning to see Liv. I had this belief inside of me that I was going to succeed because I had a goal to reach.
"Do you think we made the right decision in trusting her?" I questioned as it crossed my mind. I lifted up my gaze to Ryder.
His eyebrows furrowed at me. I smirked as I smacked my forehead lightly.
"I'm talking about Samantha. I'm left wondering what she would do" I expressed with an utter sigh of dismay.
"I feel I can trust her enough. I can bet she won't turn her back on us" he responded.
"What are you guys talking about?" I heared a familiar voice boom behind me. It instantly clicked in my head it belonged to Frank.
I inhaled and breathe out deeply when I realised I hadn't been able to solve one problem as another problem has made it's way to me. I swiveled my gaze to Frank's direction, he strode towards us as his boots which clicked the turf gave signals.
"And in secret" Frank mouthed, his eyes peered around.
"Instead of being suspicious and trying to act like a detective, why don't you try to make yourself useful. Who knows you might be of help" I suggested, shrugging my shoulders at Frank.
"It's quite interesting to know you'll want to take my help despite all the bashing I always get from you" he replied.
"If we can take the help Samantha offered to us, we can surely take yours. It isn't such a big deal" Ryder stated in a sarcastic tone.
"How did Samantha get involved in this discussion?" he asked. I gazed at his expression intently as I got to realise he might be clueless on what his sister is up to.
"Didn't she tell you about her plan?" Ryder queried.
"Leave it Ryder. She probably didn't tell him because there wasn't a need to" I mocked at him, taking my gaze back to the map.
"No one knows her better than me. She's a fiesty girl, not only that, she also takes everything in life as an adventure so instead of getting on my nerves can I please know what new plan Samantha has up her sleeves?" Frank asked with a bit of hesistancy laced through his voice.
"Fine I'll tell you"
"Go ahead" Frank urged.
"Samantha offered to help in wooing Max so she can get to Liv. For a long time she had known his weakness is a woman, so she's just using it to her full advantage" Ryder explianed.
"And you let her go? why didn't you try to explain to her?. She is trying to get herself killed" Frank lashed out at us. His forehead popped out with veins showing on it.
"We are not that heartless. We tried to stop her and explain everything to her but she's not a child that we can decide to change her mind forcefully and restrict her movements" I explianed.
"That's bullshit. It's because it's Samantha in this position, if Liv was in the same position I'm 100 percent sure you wouldn't let her embark on such a dangerous journey just to carry out a stupid task" Frank retorted through gritted teeth. He turned his back against us as he stormed away with anger that rippled through him.
"Let him go. Don't try to stop him because he won't understand" I urged, placing my hand on Ryder's shoulder.
I couldn't question Frank on why he was angry. If any brother was being put in the same situation as his, he would surely lose his mind.
Samantha might be a girl but she doesn't appear weak to me. She looked like someone who always had tons of plans up her sleeves incase she gets caught so there was nothing to be worried about .
Instead of thinking about the safety of her own life, she decided to dive into danger when it stared at her straight in the eyes. That was a perfect definition of a brave woman.
Samantha had played her part as a sister, and now I'll have to play my part as a person who had humanity inside of him. I would always protect her whole heartedly.
"Are you okay?" Ryder asked, giving me a light squeeze on my shoulder as I jolted out of my thoughts.
"Yes I'm okay" I assured, carding my fingers through my hair.
"you shouldn't think about it. He might be wrong in everything but definitely not today" he replied.
He sighed looking down at the draft "we need to find out how many soldiers are in dark moon pack and only Samantha will know about that" Ryder divulged.
"You can leave that task to me. I'll be in touch with Samantha, in the mean time what you should do is make sure the tunnel is safe" I said as Ryder agreed and I walked off immediately, picking up my phone to call Samantha.
"Are you trying to get your crazy brother even more crazier?" she asked as soon as the call was answered.
"You can't just call me each time you miss me" she added
"In your wildest dreams"
"Then I guess I'll have to keep on dreaming".
"No more jokes Samantha. I called to know how you're settling in"
"Sold, he believes everything. Its either he is as dumb as I thought or I'm just an amazing actor"
I rolled my eyes "Have you seen Liv yet?" I asked.
"Max is being too careful with that information and won't say anything. I haven't thought of asking him because if I do I'll appear suspicious to him?
"Yeah it's true. I don't want that otherwise it will foil our plans, It's fine but I need you to do something for me" I stated.
"What is this new thing Callum? Do you want me to sneak my way to Liv and put her on the call with you?" she teased.
I sighed shaking my head "I'll need you to get to task. Find out how many soldiers Max is training" I insisted.
"Already done"
