17. Chapter 17
Edith
He led me outside to a fancy new SUV. “Is this yours?”
“It is.”
“When did you get it?”
“Picked it up today.” He opened my door and helped me in. “Couldn’t put you on the back of a bike, not in that dress.”
“Did you know I was wearing a dress?” I narrowed my eyes.
“Maybe.” He shrugged, giving me a small smile.
Realization flooded my body. “You sent Evie out to get me a dress.”
“Are you asking or accusing?”
I threw my head back in laughter. “Accusing. I knew she was up to something.”
“You caught me.” He leaned in and pressed a kiss to my cheek. “I told her I was taking you out someplace nice and would like to see you in a dress.”
“She ditched out of work to go shop for this.”
“She understood the assignment.” He winked. “You look stunning.”
“Smooth talker.”
“Only to you.” He leaned in and kissing me.
I felt his fingers sliding between my thighs and I parted my legs to give him better access. Electric shocks raged through my body as his fingers grazed against my core, making me moan.
“Frank.”
“Yes?” He whispered against my lips.
“We’re never going to make it to dinner at this rate.”
“Oh no. We’ll make it for dinner, and talk, and it’ll be great. Then we’ll go to our room and talking will be optional.”
“Fuck me.”
“I plan to.”
With one more soft kiss, he closed my door and went around to get in. The drive is peaceful, and once we pulled into the Port Stella Country Club, he let the valet take it. Frank offered me his arm as he escorted me into the country club. We made our way to the restaurant, and a hostess greeted us.
“Welcome to the Sailing Fusion. Do you have a reservation?”
“We do.” Frank nodded. “It’s under Holliday.”
“Wonderful.” She picked up two menus and faced us. “If you’ll please follow me.”
She led us to our table, and I noticed Greg, Lori, and their two sons at a table.
My body stiffened, and I hated that I felt anything other than pleasure while out with Frank.
His hand was on my lower back, and he must’ve felt the change. “Baby? What’s wrong?”
“Just saw someone who pisses me off.”
“Forget them. You’re here with me.”
“Will this table work for you, Mister Holliday?”
“Darling?” He looked at me.
I gave a nod and slid into the round booth. He slid beside me, our legs touching, and he wrapped an arm behind me.
“One menu is fine.” He let the hostess know and turned his attention to me.
“Yes, sir.” She smiled and walked off with the extra menu.
“What’s good here?”
I looked around and leaned closer. “Nothing really, and it’s all overpriced.”
He threw his head back, laughing.
“Doc!” A young boy walked by our table with Greg.
“Peter.” He smiled at the young boy and gave him a fist bump.
The small boy slipped into the booth next to Frank. “Hey Doc. Is this your special date?”
Frank turned his smile to the man as he spoke. “This is my special date.”
“Wow.” Peter smiled. “Matt’s so lucky.”
Frank leaned in and play whispered. “I think I’m the lucky one.”
Clearing his throat, Greg interrupted the duo. “You’re the infamous Doc we’ve heard about.”
Wait. Frank is Doc?
Frank moved Peter as they both slipped out from the booth and he offered Greg his hand. “Frank Holliday. And you are?”
“Greg Stevens.”
“Oh, my god. You’re Doc?” I barely managed to speak.
Frank smiled and winked at me.
He knows Matthew.
“Dad. I need the bathroom.”
“You know where it is.” He gave Peter a small push.
I snapped out of my shock at his words and felt disgust fill me.
“Nice to see some things don’t change.” Venom dripped from my voice as I narrowed my eyes. “Your son needed you and you bailed.”
“He’s nine, Edith, I assure you he doesn’t need me to go to the bathroom.”
“Whatever works for you. Right?” I fought back the tears.
“Same mouth I see.” He sneered.
“That beautiful mouth, wit, and woman aren’t your concern.” Frank slid back in and cupped my face, forcing me to look at him. In my peripheral, I saw Greg walk away. “I see tears. Wanna tell me what that’s about?”
“You’re Doc.” I whispered, drifting back into shock by that news.
“I am.” Frank nodded. “It’s a nickname I gained in the Corp due to my last name.”
I chuckled. “Doc Holliday.”
“That’s me.”
“That was my ex.”
“Ex-husband?”
“God no!” I laughed. “Boyfriend. From high school.”
“Seemed like a real jackass.”
“He is.” I swallowed hard. “What are we doing, Frank?”
“What do you mean?”
“Are we just fooling around?” My voice shook as I spoke.
“Nope.”
Taking a deep breath, I mustered up some courage. “I need to tell you something.”
“You can tell me anything.”
“M … Matt?”
“The young boy Peter mentioned?”
Nodding, I wiped a tear away. My voice was barely audible. “He’s my son.”
His thumb wiped away a tear. “I know.”
“How?”
“His last name is the same as your family. Then he asked me to have a coffee or milkshake with him at the diner to talk man-to-man.” He chuckled. “Evie and Big E almost lost their minds.”
“He talks about you a lot.”
“He’s a great kid, Edie.” Frank kissed me as the server came over.
“I’m Alphonse and it will be my pleasure to serve you.”
“Jack and coke for both of us.” Frank spoke without taking his eyes off mine.
“Right away, sir.” He scurried off.
“Feel like telling me the story?”
I nodded and took a sip of water. “Let’s see, I’d been dating Greg since my sophomore year. And after graduation we had an oops.” I took a deep breath. “When I told him, it went over like a lead balloon. He had an offer to a college with a scholarship. And he most definitely didn’t want the baby.”
Frank reached over and held my hand. “Typical reaction for a teen boy.”
“It was.”
The server came back with our drinks, set them down, then pasted a smile on his face. “Are you ready to order?”
Frank gave him a look that sent him scurrying off.
“See the woman he’s with? That’s his wife. She came to me with an envelope of money to take care of the problem.”
Frank’s eyebrows went up. “That’s shitty.”
“Yeah. Especially when she came up pregnant a couple months later.”
“He cheated?”
I nodded. “Oh yeah. And Lori wanted me out of the way.”
“How many people know he’s Matt’s father?”
“Not many. Just close friends and family. I didn’t put his name on the birth certificate.”
Frank turned to look at the family of four before looking back at me. “His son is about the same age as Matt.”
I chuffed and nodded. “He is. And I haven’t told Matt he has two half-siblings, because Greg refuses to claim him.”
“What a douche.”
Nodding, I looked around the restaurant.
“Edith.” Frank softened his voice. “I already knew you were a mom. I saw Matt’s pictures in your home. There were toys around, a spelling test on the fridge. Baby, I knew. And it changes nothing.”
“I should’ve told you.”
“No.” He tipped my chin up and pressed a kiss to my lips. “You needed to be ready to share that part of you with me. I told you before. You’re worth waiting for, Edith.”
Reaching out, I grabbed him by the shirt, pulling him to me. “Gimme yo’ face.”
“It’s all yours, baby.”
I didn’t care who saw us kissing. My tongue pushed into his mouth and played with his. I felt his hand slide up under my dress and goose bumps broke out all over my skin.
“Got a question for you, sweetness.”
“Ask me anything.”
“You want more than Matt? Or is he enough?”
“I’ve always wanted one or two more.” I shrugged. “Just never found anyone I wanted to spend my life with.”
“And now?”
“Maybe.” I flashed him a smile,
“Maybe, huh?” He shook his head. “I get you cupcakes, take you to the nicest restaurant …”
Giggling, I leaned into his ear. “Hey, Doc, can I tell you something?”
“Of course.”
“The perfect date for me? Pizza, beer, and you.”
Frank slid from the booth, took out his wallet, threw some bills down, then held out his hand for me.
“Let’s go, baby girl.”
Frank
I waved to Peter and his brother as we walked by their table.
It’s not their fault their parents are who they are.
Once we stepped outside, I pulled her against me, capturing her lips again. “I’ll never get enough of your lips.”
“It’s a good thing I love kissing.”
“This mouth is all mine.” I growled and nipped her bottom lip.
She leaned in and nipped my neck. “All yours, Mister Holliday.”
Someone behind me cleared their throat. “Your car is here, sir.”
“Thank you.” I gave him a tip, opened the door for Edith, and jogged around to get in. “Order the pizza. We’ll pick it up and grab some beer.”
“Yes, sir.”
I listened to her call in the order, and I drove over to the brewery. “Be right back.”
Dashing in, the bar was packed. Once I made my way through the crowd, Ronnie looked at me with a stunned look.
“Shouldn’t you be on a date?”
“I am and now we need some beer.”
“For what?” She snapped. “You’re supposed to take her to dinner?”
Paul gave me a thumbs up and disappeared into the back.
Leaning over the bar, I motioned for her to come closer. “Know what Edie’s favorite date is?”
“No. Because in all the years I’ve known her she’s not gone on one.”
“My woman wants pizza and beer.”
“Oh.” She smiled and put her hand on her chest. “My bad.”
Paul reappeared and came around the counter with a twelve pack. “On the house.”
“Thanks.” I gave him a fist bump and made my way back to the car. “Miss me?”
“Maybe.” She turned to see the box as I set it in the backseat. “That’s my favorite.”
“What is it?”
“A coffee stout.” She crossed her legs, showing me some of her thigh.
“Yeah, it’s one of my favorites too.” I reached over and rested my hand on her thigh. “How much time we got?”
“About fifteen more minutes.”
Nodding, I drove over to Nonna’s pizzeria and found a dark corner to park while we waited. Moving my seat back, I leaned over to slide my hand up her thigh. “Lean your seat back.”
She fumbled around until she found the control, then reclined.
“Mmm, the way the moonlight shimmers on your skin.” I slipped the panel of the dress open, exposing her leg. “So soft and smooth.” I flipped the other panel open, and my fingers walked up to her covered pussy.
Tapping on the top of the panties, I looked up at her. “These are in my way.”
“Then we should fix that.” She reached down and hooked her thumbs under the waistband, lifted her hips, and slid them down to her knees.
I pushed them down the rest of her legs, and watched her move her feet, letting them pool on the floorboard.
“Gimme those.”
She adjusted to retrieve the small bundle of black satin and lace and handed them to me.
I brought them to my nose, inhaling her scent. “You smell delicious.”
“Then I guess I know what you’re eating when we get to our room.” Her voice deepened, and I felt goosebumps break out all over my skin.
Opening the glove box, I tossed them in, closed it and ran my hand up her leg to the top of her mons. Her legs fell open, and I slid my fingers down, teasing her slit.
“Don’t tease me.” Her voice trembled.
I pushed my finger into her tight channel and her moan filled the cabin of the SUV.
“When we get to the room, I’m going to be on my knees, holding you up while I eat this pussy until you come all over my face.”
“Frank.” She moaned, sliding down in the seat.
“You like my finger filling you, getting you ready?”
“I like your mouth.”
“My girl likes dirty talk?” I added a second finger in and pumped them in and out. “You like when I finger you?”
“Hell yeah.” She shivered. “Your fingers feel so, so, so good.” Her hips moved in time to my thrusts.
“Rub your clit for me, baby. Let me feel your juices coat my hand.”
She didn’t hesitate. The moment the words left my mouth, she moved her hand down and circled her clit.
“Slow down, baby.” Her face showed the pleasure she felt, and she looked gorgeous.
Edie slowed down and then picked up speed. Our breathing fogged up the windows, and I hit the sweet spot in her pussy. Her legs closed around my hand as she rode out her orgasm.
I leaned over to kiss her, jumping back when someone knocked on the window.
Her eyes popped open, and she tried to sit up. Regretfully I slid my hand from her, flipping her dress back in place. Reaching over, I rolled down the window to see one of Port Stella’s finest.
“Evening, ma’am, sir.”
“Evening, Officer. What can I do for you?”
“I was just checking in. This here’s a new vehicle, and it’s parked in a dark place on the lot, which worried some folks.”
“Just having a little alone time while waiting for our pizza.”
He nodded and then leaned around to see Edie.
“Evening, Miss Edie, are you here of your own free will?”
“Yes, Officer Campbell, I am.” She let out a laugh.
“You have a good night now. And maybe go somewhere safe and indoors.” He nodded at us, then ambled over to his cruiser.
Edith shook as laughter took over and I joined in as I rolled up the window.
“I can’t believe I am almost forty and got busted by a cop for making out in a car.”
“That was awesome.” She adjusted her seat. “He’s one of our regulars too.”
“You know Port Stella isn’t very big. People might hear about it and your reputation will be shot to hell.”
Edie shrugged. “You’ll just have to do something about that.” She threw her head back, laughing hard again. “Go get our pizza. I’m hungry.”
“Yes, ma’am.”
I drove closer to the building, then ran in. When I got back to the car, she’d put herself together and turned in her seat, facing me as I drove to the hotel.
She reached over, her hand cupping my dick, and stroked me through my pants. “Edie, you’re playing with fire.”
“You know, I’d try leaning over to suck you, but my tits would get in the way with this console.”
“Fuck.” I growled. “That mouth.”
“Awww, what’s the matter?” She smarted off with a pout in her voice. “Does the big, bad Marine wanna do naughty things with my mouth?”
“Edie.”
“Maybe put something big, hard, and throbbing in my warm, wet mouth?”
“Edie.”
She squeezed my erection. “Mm, I could suck you in, play with your head, run my tongue …”
Putting my hand over hers, I stopped her from making any other movements.
“Frank?”
“Between your mouth and hand, I might have a small accident.”
“Hmm, based on the other night, I don’t think it would be small.”
“Edith, you’re cruisin’ for a spanking.”
Moving closer to me, her tongue flicked my earlobe. “Francis? Will you slap my ass and fuck me hard?”
Pulling over, I turned on the hazards and almost pulled her over the console, kissing her. My fingers tangled in her curls, and I felt her hand working its way into my pants. The moment her fingers close around my dick, I pulled back and hissed.
She’s pumping me hard and fast. I should stop her since we’re on the side of the road, but damn, it felt so good.
Fuck it.
We met over the console, our lips crashing into each other. Sloppy, desperate kisses with no stopping. Only tiny breaks to take a breath, and then our tongues are dueling again. It’s like she read my mind as she pumped me faster.
“Edith.” I groaned and nipped her bottom lip as I exploded all over her hand, my belly, and boxers.
“Fair is fair, love.” She laughed wickedly.
“Oh yeah? Fair warning you may not walk right tomorrow.” I panted.
“Hm.” She gave me a coy smile. “That’s a chance I’m willing to take.” Sitting back in her seat, she licked her hand and moaned. “I’m hungry, Francis.”
“You’re killin’ me, Edith.”
Pulling back into traffic, I finished the drive to the Plaza and let the valet take my vehicle. I carried the beer, and she grabbed the pizza. I checked in earlier and took up a duffle with clothing so we could bypass the desk and go straight to our room.
In the elevator, she licked her lips, and I pressed her back against the wall, kissing her again. When the doors opened, we stepped out, and I led her to our room.
Edith walked in first and let out a slow whistle. “Wow.” She carried the pizza to the table and set it down. “I already slept with you. You don’t have to try so hard.”
I stopped and stared at her.
“Oh, baby, your face.” She laughed. “I’m joking, Frank.”
I set the beer down beside the pizza and dropped to my knees.
“Frank?”
