Chapter 26 #2

“Come,” I tell her, and she throws her arms around my neck, holding on for dear life and fucks me, coming on my cock. The sensation and movement are too much; I come inside her, and she greedily rides her orgasm out.

We sit there panting; a light dusting of sweat covers us both. She smiles and I steal her lips as my dick stays cocooned inside her pussy.

Laying her forehead on mine, “Where do we go from here, Bohdi?” Her words breathless.

“Wherever you want to,” I tell her honestly, because it’s all up to her. I’m letting her decide.

“I want us. I want you. But I’m scared. What if this doesn’t work out?”

“But what if it does, August?” I parrot back to her.

“I can’t handle another heartbreak.” Her eyes well with tears.

Rubbing her bottom lip with my thumb, “I’m not here to break your heart.

We’re both recovering from and scared of the possibility that this all could blow up, once again, but August, I love you.

I’ve loved you these whole eight years. I never stopped loving you,” I tell her, finally saying my truth.

Her lip quivers. “I love you, Bohdi. Always have.”

I pull her into my arms and we stay connected emotionally and physically. Both of our truths hanging in the air around us.

Leaning back, she looks at me. “I need to use the bathroom.”

Smiling, I ease her off of me, my cum leaking down her thigh. Taking my shirt off, I lift up and place it over her head, covering her body, before picking up my boxers, wiping my cum from her.

I lead her to the bathroom even though she knows where it is and we both enter together. She pees and watches me clean myself off in the sink, “I feel like I’m a teenager sneaking through the cottage, again.” She whispers to me.

“Well, this time, I’m not going to be threatened to be waterboarded in the ocean.” We both laugh, hers coming out loudly.

“Shhh.” I motion for her to follow me out once she’s done.

Entering the den, I turn to close the door and see Kai standing on the stairs, smiling. I send him a wave, and he shoots me the bird.

Looking to August, who’s now putting on her panties, “Stay the night with me.”

Letting the T-shirt fall down to cover her, “I have to leave before Baylee.”

“Okay.” I move around to the opposite side I like to sleep on. August looks at me. “I can’t lie like I usually do.”

“Yeah, duh.” She climbs into bed, and I pull her to my chest, spooning her.

In the quiet, her voice whispers, “It’s not that I don’t want Baylee to know; it’s just I want to take this slow. Have fun, see where it goes.”

Rubbing her head with my hand, “I can do that.” I agree, but nothing in me wants to take this slowly. We lost so many years because we both let them pass by. But I say nothing, just enjoy the way her silky skin feels on my fingertip.

“August Graft, what the hell are you doing?”

I jump up from a dead sleep, looking at Baylee standing over August. Falling back onto the pillow, I grumble, “It’s too early, Bay.”

“Too early, yeah. It’s too early for me to come in here and find my best friend laid up with my brother-in-law.”

“Ugh,” August groans, pushing up in the bed. I watch her from the corner of my eye, smiling. Her black hair is wild around her face.

“Surprise,” August says to Bay; her head jerks to me. “Don’t smile, you were hoping something like this happened.” She elbows me, her voice raspy.

Looking at Baylee, her eyes jump from me to August, finger waving between us, “When did this happen?”

Opening my mouth, I shut it when Kai walks in. “You asshole, you told her.”

Kai lets out a huge laugh, raising his eyebrows up and down. “I did. We’re a team.”

“You suck.” August throws her pillow at Kai.

We all three look at Baylee, who cries, “It’s like it used to be.”

Pulling the covers to throw over her propped-up body, August hides herself. “Stop it. We’re adults and this is crazy.”

“Hormones.” Both Kai and Baylee say at the same time, and all four of us bust out laughing.

I pan over to Kai, whose face is now all seriousness, and I know it’s time to do what needs to be done.

I nod my head at my brother, letting him know to give me a second.

Once August and I are alone, I pull her to me.

Her face is still red, making her sprinkle of freckles pop.

“I’m going to lay this all to bed once and for all with the Williams. Kai and I are going to their estate to pick up the contracts and he’s signing a paper we had a lawyer draw up and finally be done. ” Her honey brown eyes stare at me.

“Record everything, Bodhi.” Her face is marred with worry now.

Kissing her lips and leaving her in bed, I hurriedly get dressed and meet my brother in the living room.

The ride to the end of the island is quiet, both Kai and I in our own heads, until I can feel his eyes on the side of my head. Looking over, he glances from the road to me. And we just look at each other.

“You didn’t have to take this shit all on your own, and that makes me mad at you.” I watch his hands squeeze the steering wheel.

“It was my doing. I shouldn’t have left it all on Mom, or at least had you come over with them. I knew Mom was so stressed and tired; I’m stupid,” I berate myself.

“Yeah, you are. But a hard lesson learned.” He cuts his eyes at me and smiles at me before stopping in front of their gate. Kai pushes the button and the gate opens.

We’re met at the door by Todd and Kate, both standing like they have a stick up their ass, as Kate holds on to a walker.

“Honey, if you’d let me and the guys go and have a chat.” Todd sweetly tells Kate, who narrows her eyes at him. “We have business to attend to.”

Kai grunts but covers it with a cough.

We follow Todd to his office, while Kate stays back.

Walking into it, it’s such a heavy feeling, and maybe that’s all the bad energy they hold from fucking people over.

Todd sits, but Kai and I stay standing, ready to get this all over with. “Here is a paper our lawyer drew up; it just needs your signature.” I drop the paper to the coffee table and watch it float down, landing perfectly.

He breathes in and exhales loudly, like this is such a huge thing for him to do. I cock my eyebrow. “Let’s get this over with.”

Looking at Kai, he stares daggers into Todd’s head.

“Also, where are the contracts?” Kai sneers at him.

Todd slides the now-signed paper that states only the Westmores have any and all access to their property and business.

They don’t owe anything on it, and it’s fully theirs.

To me, before opening up a folder, holding papers out.

I snatch them, my mouth grimacing, “Leave people alone in Driftwood. We have your number now, and best believe we’ll be keeping an eye on you, Todd.

” I snarl at him before opening the folder, looking through the papers and seeing it’s all there.

“Because your little secret won’t be safe with me otherwise, daddy dearest.”

I jerk my chin to the door and Kai nods.

Opening the office door, I smile at a standing Molly, whose eyebrows are knitted together from hearing what I told her father.

“Got to love family secrets.” I spit to Molly.

Her eyes widen, and her mouth falls open.

“Maybe you three need to understand, you all are the unwelcome ones on Driftwood Bay.” I don’t give Molly a second look before walking by her.

Smiling, knowing I’m finally done with this family.
