Chapter 52
Magma
Carla is riding the hell out of me, and I have never seen anything sexier in my life.
She’s moving in this slow, greedy rhythm that is going to be the death of me. Her head is tipped back. Her hair is a wreck from my hands. There’s a flush spreading down her throat and across her chest, and every time she rocks forward, she makes this small, choked sound that does things to me.
I can’t stop looking at her.
I don’t want to. I’m never going to want to.
She rolls her hips again, taking me deep, and my eyes almost cross.
She’s hot and tight around me, gripping me like she was made for me, and every slow grind of her body pulls me closer to the edge.
Her breasts sway with the movement, full and gorgeous, and I reach up and fill my hands with them because I cannot stop touching her.
My female. She moans and pushes into my palms.
“Magma.” My name comes out of her on a gasp.
“Right here.” I stroke my thumbs over her. “Take what you need. I’m yours.”
She does. God help me, she does. She picks up the pace, riding me harder, and the sight of her is almost too much.
Her lips parted. Her lashes fluttering. Her whole body moving over mine like a wave.
The sounds we’re making fill her bedroom, skin and breath and the low groans I can’t hold back, and underneath it all, the soft creak of her bed working overtime.
My dragon is rumbling in my chest, pleased beyond words. Ours, he keeps saying. Ours, ours, ours.
I agree.
I grab her hips and start meeting her, thrusting up from below, matching her stroke for stroke.
She cries out, and her nails bite into my chest, and the small sting of it only makes everything better.
We find a rhythm together, deep and driving, and the pressure at the base of my spine builds fast. Too fast.
I’m not going to last. Not with her looking like this. Not with her sounding like this.
I slide my thumb between us and rub slow circles exactly where she needs me. Her rhythm stutters. Her mouth drops open.
“Oh god. Oh god, don’t stop.”
I press a little firmer, keep my hips driving up into her. “Let me see you come for me.”
Her mouth drops open, and her pussy starts to flutter. Then she shatters.
Her whole body pulls tight, and she cries out my name, loud and unashamed, gripping me so hard she drags me right over the edge with her.
My climax hits like a wall of heat. I groan, my hips pressing up hard, my hands locking her against me while pleasure rolls through me in long, pounding beats.
She’s still going, still shuddering, and I keep working my thumb against her, keep rocking into her, drawing it out, wringing every last tremor from her body until she whimpers.
Then she slumps over me, boneless, her face landing in the curve of my neck. She’s panting hard.
We lie there, both of us breathing like we sprinted the length of the island. Her heart is going wild against my chest. Or maybe that’s mine. At this point they might as well be the same thing.
I wrap my arms around her and pull her in close, and she makes a sleepy, satisfied hum against my throat that I feel all the way down to my toes.
She’s warm and soft and heavy on top of me in the best possible way.
She smells like her shampoo and like sex and like me, and my dragon stretches out inside my chest, so smug I can hardly stand him.
She feels amazing. There’s no other word for it. She feels like something I didn’t know was missing.
“I’m staying over,” I tell her. “I want to wake up with you.”
Carla lifts her head just enough to look at me. Her makeup is smudged, her hair is a disaster, and her eyes are heavy-lidded and glowing. She looks thoroughly, completely sated, and I did that. Me.
“You’d better not leave.” She pokes me in the ribs with one finger. “I want more of this in the morning. I’m just too tired right now.”
I laugh, and it shakes her where she’s draped over me. She grumbles about it and tucks herself back under my chin. I run my hand up and down her spine, tracing the line of it.
“From now on we are going to talk about our feelings,” I say. “You and me. No more assuming. No more guessing what the other one is thinking and getting it catastrophically wrong. We’re not holding back. Not ever again.”
“Yes.” She nods against my neck. “And we’re not listening to other people, because they all had it wrong.”
I laugh. “Yes, they did. It’s you and me, and that’s it. No more bullshit.”
“No more bullshit.” She leans up and kisses me, soft and slow. “Just you and me.” She kisses me again. “I like that.”
“I love that.” I hug her closer, loving how she feels against me, all warm skin and loose limbs and trust.
“Now you need to tell me about your stalker ways.” She frowns at me, and she looks so fucking adorable doing it that I forget what she’s asking me for a second. My brain has apparently relocated somewhere south of useful.
“What stalker ways?” I ask when it finally catches up.
“How did you find my apartment?”
Oh fuck.
She grins, wide and wicked. “Just for the record, I like that you stalked me.”
I roll my eyes. “It wasn’t stalking. I used the Security Central database. We needed to talk.”
She laughs, and it’s gorgeous. Bright and unguarded, her nose scrunching, her shoulders shaking against me. Holy shit. I’m in trouble here. I am in so much trouble, and I could not care less.
“And then you waited for me to get back from the wedding?” she asks. “Somewhere in the shadows. Waiting and watching.”
“You’re making it sound creepy. It was not creepy. But yeah…”
She laughs her ass off, and I grin.
“I hoped and prayed you wouldn’t invite that asshole up. I had to work hard not to kill him.”
She gives me a look. “He isn’t an asshole. He’s a nice guy.”
I growl, low in my chest, and she laughs again, delighted, like my jealousy is the funniest thing she’s ever encountered.
“You don’t have to be jealous. I have zero feelings for him. It’s only you.” She kisses me again, lingering this time, and my body starts taking a very keen interest.
“I’m glad you didn’t invite him up and that you agreed to talk to me and that you didn’t want to take it slow.”
“Me, too.” She brushes her lips against mine, and then our arms are wrapped around each other.
“Let’s get some sleep,” I say into her hair, before I do something that keeps us both up until dawn. “The sooner we rest, the sooner I can be inside you again.”
“I like that.”
I reach over and turn off the side light, and darkness folds around us. She wriggles down into the mattress, and I pull the blanket over us both, and then we snuggle in really close.
It feels right.
It feels amazing.
I press my lips to the back of her neck and breathe her in, and I don’t think it could get any better than this.
