At this point, everyone knows that the Mainland is the real enemy. Therefore, it comes as no surprise when a peace treaty with Mistveil is signed. The war is over. We can all finally breathe again.

Or so we think… What actually ends up happening is all hell breaks loose.

I’m doing my job at Draig Hospital when the roof is ripped off, and I’m snatched up by a Red shifter who carts me back to Mistveil.

I’m certain I’m done for when he comes for me, risking life and limb on enemy soil.

My savior is seven kinds of trouble wrapped in hard muscle and dark tattoos, with a scowl that should not be as attractive as it is. He’s grumpy. He’s bossy. He’s incredibly sweet underneath it all.

He’s also the best friend of the guy I’m “kind of sort of” dating. And now he’s the only thing standing between me and an island full of feral males who all want to do unspeakable things to me.

Getting home means sticking close to him. Really close… Hopefully I won’t regret this when we return to Draig Island. That’s if we even make it out of here alive.
