Chapter 25

Silas

We’re healing. All four of us. We moved into Rylan’s old house for now. The girls weren’t ready to separate yet, and I wasn’t ready to force her to do anything. We called Becky and gave her the option of staying in Florida or coming back here. She chose to come back, and now she’s in Levi’s house. They were married, so everything he had went to her. Not that she has anything to worry about anyway. We’ve already talked it over, and whatever she and the baby need, they’ll have. It isn’t just Becky’s baby. That baby was Levi’s, too, and there’s no way in hell we’d let it go without.

Some days are harder than others, knowing he isn’t here and he’s not coming back. There’s an ache in my chest I don’t think will ever go away. It’s a good thing, that ache. I need it there to remind me shit can turn bad at any second, and at any given minute, any one of us could be gone.

Ry and I have been doing what we can with the society. Not really much to do after we got rid of the cancer that was in it. Everything else just fell into place. We held meetings, introduced ourselves to some who might not have known us, and then we made changes to what we needed to. We still do shady shit. That’s just a given for us and our way of life. Nothing is going to change that, either.

Angel and I are planning to get remarried in a few months. She’s happy as hell about it, too. She and Tamsyn have gone over every little detail down to the fucking tablecloths. It’s good to see her smiling and happy, though. There were some days I wasn’t sure I was going to see that smile on her face again. There were days when she was so fucking lost not even I could pull her back. But she’s doing better, and for that, I’m grateful.

“Are you just going to sit there and stare?” Angel asks, resting her hand on her hip.

“Why not? It’s a nice fucking view,” I tell her. We came to the beach so the girls could have a good time after everything that happened. They needed the break.

“You’re not going to swim with me?” I stand and stalk toward her. When I’m close enough, I grab her around the waist and drag her body against mine.

“I have a better idea,” I tell her, biting her bottom lip between my teeth.

“What’s that?” she asks. I pull back and shake my head, taking her hand in mine and leading her over to the pier. With power comes money, and we have plenty of that, which is how we got away with renting out the pier and beach. There’s a mile in either direction no one can get to while we’re here, and that’s perfect for my plan.

“What are we doing?” she asks when I lead her under the pier. Once we’re under, I kiss her. I devour her lips with mine and take what I want as I walk her backward. Her back hits the post, and a growl leaves my lips. I don’t stop kissing her as I reach up and grab the rope I put there earlier today and tug it down. When I pull back, I lift her arms above her head and wrap the rope around them.

“Silas? Seriously? Anyone could come out here,” she protests.

“Not a chance in hell. You forget we rented it all out?” I tell her. Now her cheeks turn pink, and I love every fucking second of it. With her hands secured above her head, I drop to my knees in the sand and pull her bottoms off. “Spread your legs,” I demand. At first, she doesn’t move, and that makes me smile. She likes to play games with me. I let my fingers trail up her thigh before stopping and pinching her hard. She yelps but spreads her legs like I told her to.

Sliding two fingers into her, she’s already so fucking wet for me. I work them in and out of her as she moans.

“Why are you so fucking wet,” I ask her.

“Because of you. It’s always you,” she whines when I stop moving my fingers. I get back to work and lean in, running my tongue over her clit, and watch as she arches her back off the pole. I don’t know what it is about her that I can’t get enough of, but I’d drown in this girl if I had to.

I keep finger fucking her until she whimpers, and I know she wants to come. That’s not happening without my cock inside of her. I pull my fingers free and stand up, dropping my shorts around my ankles and lifting her. Angel”s legs wrap around my waist as I plunge into her. Her back scrapes along the pole, and I know it’s tearing her back up, but I don’t give a shit.

She pulls at the ropes, but they aren’t going anywhere. The only thing she’s doing is tearing up her wrists more.

“Come on, Angel. What’s taking you so long?” I taunt as I keep pumping inside of her. Her heels dig into my ass as I keep fucking her. Moans fall from her lips and then I really get into it. I want her to fucking come. I need this to be quick because I have things to work on for her, and I’m expecting a phone call and any minute.

A few more hard thrusts, and I feel her pussy clamp around me.

“Just like that, baby. Take my fucking cum,” I growl as I release inside her. I keep going until there’s nothing left in me. Her body spasms, and she’s panting heavily when I finally pull out and let her feet hit the sand. I reach down, pull my shorts back up, and then take a step back to look at her.

“What are you doing?”

“Do you know how fucking sexy you look like that? With your arms tied above your head and my cum leaking out of you?” She gives me a soft smile, but I don’t move. I love looking at her like this.

“Untie me,” she says, tugging at the ropes.

“Or I could leave you like that.”

“Silas! Don’t you dare,” she snaps at me.

“What? No one’s out here.”

“That doesn’t matter. You can’t leave me tied to the pier half-naked,” she argues. I shrug my shoulders.

“I don’t see the problem,” I retort as I start to walk away. Angel screams at me, but I can hear my cell phone ringing. I leave her there and jog over to grab it.

“Hey?”

“So, I have good news. They’re willing to meet with you guys tonight. They’ll come out to the beach since they’re not that far,” my lawyer tells me.

“Are you serious?”

“Yes. They got your letter and said they couldn’t say no.”

“Fuck. That’s great news, man. I wasn’t sure if that would work or not,” I tell him. I see Tamsyn jogging down toward the pier, flipping me off, and I smile at her.

“You did a good job on that letter, Silas. And with all the details you added, they couldn’t say no. They feel terrible.” My lawyer goes on to give me the rules for this meeting, and I agree with every single one of them. How the hell could I not?

“Sounds good, man. I appreciate you working on this,” I tell him.

“It was all you, Silas. You did this.” With that, the line goes dead, and Rylan walks up to me.

“Good news?” he asks, nodding toward the phone.

“Fucking great news. They’re willing to meet,” I tell him, watching the smile cross his face.

“No shit?”

“Yeah. They’re going to come out here tonight. I mean, there’s some ground rules obviously but not anything we can’t handle.”

“That’s great fucking news, Silas. I can’t believe you did all this,” he tells me.

“I don’t know. It just felt like the right thing to do.”

“It was. It’ll bring some closure for everyone. And hell, we need a little good in our lives right now anyway.”

“You’ll stick around?” I ask, looking over at him.

“Fuck yeah, we will. We’re family, Silas.”

“Damn right, we are.”

“I can’t believe you actually left me tied under there!” Angel screams as the two of them walk back toward us. I chuckle and turn to face her, catching her in my arms when she throws herself into me.

“You know you liked it,” I tell her.

“Thank God, Tamsyn got me down.”

“You were good. I was coming back.”

“Yeah, when you felt like it.”

“We need to get going anyway. We’re going to dinner, and then I have a surprise for you,” I tell her, leaning down to press my lips to hers.

“What surprise?”

“Really? You want me to tell you what the surprise is?” She beams up and me, and I couldn’t think of anyone else I would want to spend my life with.

“I don’t like surprises.”

“What if it includes my mask?” I ask her. Angel bites her bottom lip and I know she likes the idea of that. She leans in and wraps her arms around my neck before kissing me. When Angel pulls back, I see the smile on her face. She’s happy. She looks happy. And that’s exactly the way I want her to look all the time. I reach down and grab her hand as we start walking toward the hotel we’re staying in with the others behind. I listen to Tamsyn laughing with Ry and it just feels like everything is okay, like things are right now.

I know things will never be the same now Levi isn’t here. There’s just something missing with the four of us and I hate it will never be the same again.

We make it back to the hotel and head inside when Angel goes to the bathroom to shower first. I drop down onto the couch and sigh, throwing my arm over the back.

“You okay?” Tamsyn asks me.

“Yeah. Everything is good. You?”

“I am. It feels a little strange without Levi here.”

“I was thinking the same thing. It’s never going to be the same without him.”

“Things will get better, right?” she asks and I know she needs to hear it from all of us right now. She needs the reassurance.

“Yeah. Everything is going to be good, Tamsyn. We’re going to scatter his ashes tonight,” I remind her. She nods her head even though she looks a little sad about it. We talked about it, and we all felt like it would be the right thing to do.

“He would like that,” she says softly.

“I think so, too.”

“Showers free,” Angel calls out from the other room. Tamsyn stands and heads that way when Ry offers me a beer. I take it, and we sit in silence for a few minutes.

“Never thought this would be how things turned out,” he says.

“Me either. Once they threw us out, I figured that was it. That was the end of all this,” I tell him.

“Do you regret coming back?” he asks, looking over at me now.

“Depends on the day. Some days are harder than others when I think about Levi. If we didn’t come back, he might still be here.”

“You don’t believe when our time comes, it doesn’t matter where we are?” I shrug.

“I don’t know. I guess that’s probably true.”

“I like to think he’s still around,” he tells me.

“Yeah. That would be nice.”

“Either way, we’re still here and we have shit to handle, right?”

“Yeah, we do. And now the Kings are all in order; I think it’ll be easier on everyone.”

“Me too. We got this, Silas.”
