10. Sloane #2

“Fuck.” I breathe as I slowly begin rocking against his hand. “I want to come.”

“I want that too.” His other hand, not between my legs, snakes up and grips my breast, toying with the nipple and pressing me hard against his chest. I swipe again, and now I see a photo of him standing up, and while you still can’t see my face, you can see his cock half out of my mouth.

“Goddamn,” he groans. “I want to frame that and hang it somewhere in here.” I swipe to the next one, which is a closer shot where you can even see my lips and chin glistening with spit and maybe some of his leaked cum.

“I’ve never…” I whimper as I feel myself nearing the edge again.

I swipe to the next, which is a shot of his hand wrapped around my throat.

I don’t even remember that happening, but the look is so hot.

His tattooed hand is wrapped around my throat, while just beneath, his dick is stuffed in my mouth.

It’s a little more covered than the other photos, but you can still tell what’s happening, and the hiddenness of it makes it even hotter in some ways.

My eyes dart down, watching as that same inked hand rubs at my clit, and then I fucking lose it.

Later that morning, I’ve showered and put on my clothes from last night to head home.

Luckily, my aunt and uncle were staying in DC for the night, so there were no questions about my whereabouts, and Delaney knew I was finally hooking up with the hot guy from the plane.

I’m walking slowly down the hallway before heading downstairs, eyeing the pictures on his walls that are mostly of his nieces and nephew.

I see a picture of him at what looks like his college graduation, next to who I assume are his brother and his parents.

He looks so happy and carefree and hot, and a pang of sadness hits me that I couldn’t have met him later in life.

Or that we were closer in age.

Thoughts of meeting him in college, falling in love, getting married right after undergrad, having a family, and going through life together come at me hard and fast, and I feel the disappointment over this terrible timing.

Right man, wrong time.

But maybe, he’ll understand? I am still nineteen, soon-to-be twenty, and I am only still in high school because of how I’ve spent my childhood.

In a perfect world, I am a freshman in college, and I don’t have to end things in a week.

Maybe I don’t…

No, Sloane, you definitely have to end things.

You cannot get away with dating this man while you’re in high school.

I groan inwardly, feeling myself struggle with the thought that my time with River is coming to a close.

Especially after how fucking hot last night and this morning were. The space between my legs still feels sore and sensitive in memory of where he’d been.

I make my way down the stairs and toward the sweet scent of syrup and coffee.

And he cooks?

I walk into the kitchen in time to see him sliding a Belgian waffle onto a plate, all while wearing a tight white T-shirt that highlights his very biteable biceps, and when he moves to grab a mug from the cabinet, I notice that he’s in gray sweatpants as well.

Because of course, he is.

“Well, you are certainly pulling out all the stops,” I say before leaning against the island.

“Hey, beautiful,” he says, and my heart flutters slightly at the gesture. He closes the space between us and presses a gentle kiss to my forehead and then my lips. “I know you have to go, but I was hoping you had time to let me feed you.”

“I do.” I nod before sitting on one of the barstools that line his island.

“Coffee? Orange juice? Something else?” he asks. “Smoothie?” He points at his blender on the counter, and I can’t stop the giggle from escaping me.

“Orange juice is perfect,” I say just as he sets the waffle in front of me before grabbing the orange juice from his refrigerator. I prop my elbows up on the island and lean forward on them. “I did not expect you to be the kind of guy to make a girl breakfast.”

“If I am being honest, I am not,” he says before pouring me a glass of juice and setting it in front of me.

“Liar.” I roll my eyes as I cut into my waffle.

“What reason do I have to lie?” he asks, taking the seat next to me.

I shrug because you tell me? “To make me feel special?”

“One, you are special,” he says, and I respond with a quiet snort. “You are,” he repeats, and when I look at him, his face looks a little serious. “And two, I don’t usually want a woman hanging around long enough in the morning to have breakfast.”

“Well, that’s rude.” A vision of him slamming the door behind a woman thirty seconds after they have sex floats through my brain, and I try not to wince.

“Probably.” He shrugs. “But most women kind of know the deal the night before. I mean, have I ever made a woman breakfast? Sure. But most women leave first thing in the morning, if they don’t leave sometime in the night. So if you think this is just a move I’m pulling on you, it’s not the case.”

Regardless, Sloane, it’s not your business, and you’re not exactly being honest about things. “Well, thank you for the waffles.”

“Thank you for the ride last night.”

“Which one?” I smirk at him, and he bumps his shoulder with mine.

We spend the rest of breakfast casually talking before the conversation eventually drifts into comfortable silence, and smiling at each other between bites. The easiness of breakfast settles over us, and part of me is tempted to stay longer, but a glance at my phone reminds me that I can’t.

“I had fun,” he says with a boyish grin.

“Me too.” I smile back. “I’ve never been filmed before,” I murmur. We’d agreed for him to delete the footage while I watched, but agreed we would definitely do that again. Even though we probably won’t.

“When can I see you again?” he asks while we linger together outside by my car. “When are you leaving anyway?”

“Next weekend.” My heart flips like it always does when I have to add to the lies I’ve told him.

“I assume you probably have everything squared away, but if you need help or need anything, I hope you’ll let me know.” He grabs my hand and squeezes it gently. “Or maybe I can come down and take you out before your classes start if you’re not too busy.”

Fuck. Shut this shit down, Sloane.

I swallow nervously. “Of course, I’ll let you know.”

His hand reaches up and pushes my hair gently from my face. “You okay?” And I hate that I came off so standoffish with that last comment.

I nod in response. “Yes, of course. Sorry, just a little tired because we didn’t sleep much last night.”

I think maybe three hours total.

We fucked a lot, my mind thinks, and my sex throbs in response.

“Listen, I know I’ve been a little back-and-forth about our ages and thinking you’re too young.

” He leans against my car, crossing his arms over his chest. “And you probably are still too young, and maybe you don’t want anything complicated before you start school, but…

I don’t know, I like you, so maybe we can keep in touch.

” He rubs the back of his neck and gives me a sheepish look.

“Or if you just want to hang out when you’re home…

I’m open to that too. I just… think this could be more than a one-time thing. ”

I may have gone back that night, where we stayed in and watched both of our favorite movies. I may have fallen asleep during The Godfather because Lord, that movie is long. But he woke me up with his mouth between my legs, so I’d say it was a win.

The following day was a Monday, and we saw a movie after he got out of football practice, where we kissed like teenagers in the back of the theater.

Okay, fair enough, I am a teenager.

That night, we went back to his house, where he cooked me dinner.

It was actually pretty fucking cute. I guess his future sister-in-law is a really good cook, and he called her at least three times with a question.

At one point, I guess she asked if she should just come over to help, but he swiftly shut her down, sure she was just being nosy and wanting to meet me.

The week was flying by, and with that came the anxiety that I needed to tell River something. I don’t think I’d fallen for him in the two weeks we were hanging out, but we’d gotten close enough that it would be weird and mean for me to just ghost him now.

And we got along so well, I had no reason to end it.

But I needed to end it.

There was no way I could continue a relationship with him while I was in high school.

That night, the room was dark except for the bit of the moonlight streaming through his curtains and cutting across the foot of the bed.

River’s arm is draped over my waist, and I can hear his breathing slowing as he drifts off to sleep.

The only thing making me think he’s not completely asleep yet is the way his thumb moved gently across my naked torso every few moments.

This is the time to tell him.

While it’s quiet and still and the tension from our intimacy still lingers.

Tell him.

Not yet. One more night.

Tomorrow.

His arm tightens around my waist. "You, okay?” he asks, his voice raspy, like he’d been close to sleep.

"Yeah."

He kisses the back of my shoulder, and I want to melt. “You sure?”

“Just thinking about… the future,” I tell him honestly.

He’s silent for a moment before he tightens his grip around me and squeezes gently. “Do you want to talk about it?”

“No… I mean, I’m okay. I just… do you ever worry about the future?”

“Pretty sure you know I do based on our first interaction.”

A faint smile finds my lips as I remember the conversation in the airport. All the more reason to tell him that things can’t go further than this. He eventually wants a serious relationship.

A wife.

Kids.

All things I’m not ready for.

“I am fuuuucked,” I tell Delaney the second I fall next to her on her bed. It was the first time in three nights that I wasn’t sleeping over at River’s place. But I started school in less than a week, and I had no idea what to do about my situation.
