Chapter 29 The Sun Rises

Her movements were incredibly fast. The entire process, from getting up to choking Joe's neck, took less than two seconds.

Kendall had practiced this move and scenario in her mind countless times, and when she executed it, she was decisive and didn't hesitate at all.

Joe didn't even have time to react before Kendall choked him. An angry scream came from his mouth. The feeling of suffocation made him struggle violently. His first instinct was to grab the rope around his neck, but Kendall wouldn't let him succeed so easily.

The rope was long enough, and Kendall pulled it tightly behind his seat, making a closed loop. The seat was soft and elastic, and Joe could have moved his body to slide out, but his seatbelt was still on, so no matter how much he struggled, he was firmly tied to the seat.

Joe's vision was starting to go black. He wanted to scream for John to save him, but with Kendall's tight grip on his throat, he couldn't even breathe, let alone make a sound.

Kendall knew time was of the essence. Looking at Joe's desperate struggle, she held both ends of the rope tightly with her left hand and made a fist with her right, delivering a heavy punch to Joe's temple. Joe, who had been struggling violently, instantly went limp and slumped in his seat.

Even though he seemed to be unconscious, Kendall didn't let her guard down. She wrapped the rope around Joe's neck twice and tied it tightly to the seat. Then she took Joe's phone and turned the volume on the short videos all the way up.

While Kendall was doing all this, a few girls in the back woke up. When they realized what Kendall was doing, their eyes went from fear to hope. At that moment, Kendall's small, thin figure seemed like an angel in their eyes.

John had heard Joe's angry scream. In the dark and desolate mountains, that scream was terrifying. John, who had just squatted down in the bushes, shuddered. He didn't care about anything else. He stood up, pulled up his pants, and quickly walked back to the road. "Brother Joe, what's wrong?"

No one answered him. The windows and doors of the van were all closed, so no sound leaked out. John walked up to the car and opened the passenger door. He was instantly startled by the loud sound of the short videos.

Only then did he notice Joe, who was slumped in the driver's seat with his head turned to the side. Joe's head was turned towards John, and in the dim light of the night, John didn't notice the rope around Joe's neck.

"Brother Joe???" John didn't know what was wrong with Joe. His first instinct was to lean forward and try to wake him up.

With the sound of the short videos covering the noise, he didn't even notice that the back door of the van had been silently opened.

Kendall appeared behind John and kicked him hard in the lower back. A sharp pain and the sound of bones cracking came from his body.

John, just like Joe, couldn't help but let out a scream. The powerful kick made him fall forward. Not only did his body, his head too hit the car heavily.

"Fuck you!" John spat out an angry curse. At this moment, he also realized what had happened. He quickly got out of the car. He had a flashlight with him, but it fell to the ground after Kendall kicked him, which allowed him to see Kendall standing behind him.

John looked furious. "It was you!" He didn't know how Kendall woke up from the drug so early or how she untied her ropes, but thinking about Joe, who was in the car and whose situation was unknown, John was filled with rage.

If Kendall ran away, the consequences would be unimaginable! He couldn't let her ruin their plan! In a flash, John's eyes held a murderous intent. He threw a punch at Kendall's face!

Kendall dodged to the side and grabbed John's arm, giving him an over-the-shoulder throw. His back hit the ground hard, and a sharp pain shot through the spot where Kendall had kicked him. John screamed again.

He endured the pain and tried to kick Kendall, but she dodged. When he tried to pull his leg back, she grabbed it and dragged him away.

The mountain road was muddy, hard, and full of rocks. John screamed as the rocks scraped against his body. He tried to get away from Kendall but couldn't, and he kept cursing her.

Kendall ran quickly while dragging his leg. The hard rocks tore his back and even hit the back of his head. John couldn't even swear anymore, and all that was left in the night wind was his pitiful cries for mercy.

Kendall dragged him up and down the mountain road, and she was perfectly fine, while John was half-dead.

After dragging him back to the van, Kendall threw him to the side in disgust and then took out a piece of rope to tie his hands.

After all that, the dark, lightless sky had unknowingly turned grey. Kendall looked up. The sun had risen!
