Chapter 101 Search For Rescue
Mia was the first person to notice Kendall and Henry walking toward the beach. She immediately went to Liam and whispered, "Brother Liam, Kendall and that commoner are coming to look for seafood too."
"Let her come. We've already pretty much searched this area clean anyway," Liam glanced at Kendall, then looked confidently at their meager spoils of war.
While they didn't have much, the thought that Kendall wouldn't find any seafood either made him feel a little pleased.
Mia asked, "Should we tell her that there's no more seafood here?"
"No, why would we tell her?" Liam frowned. "She didn't share even a bite of her roasted rabbit with us last night. From now on, when we see her, we'll pretend we don't know her."
Mia obediently nodded. "Mhm."
However, looking at the way Kendall walked, her body tall and straight, her steps agile, a hint of deep jealousy flashed across Mia's eyes. Her own skin was delicate and had been badly bitten by mosquitoes over the last two days, she was covered in red, swollen welts that itched terribly.
Her backpack was mostly filled with skincare products. Without fresh water, even washing her face and removing her makeup was a problem, let alone showering. Even without a mirror, Mia knew she must look messy now.
In contrast, Kendall seemed to be living well since arriving here.
The wilderness life didn't seem to affect her much.
The tight-fitting black windbreaker highlighted her fair skin and made her look radiant, walking with an air of composure and style.
If Kendall were wearing sunglasses, people would believe she was here for a luxury photo shoot.
Mia secretly bit her lip. Beside her, Sophia was diligently prying oysters that were attached to the rocks. She had seen this in the breakfast Kendall provided yesterday and knew that while the meat was scarce, it was edible.
user @EagleEyes: "Everyone watch Mia's eyes. She keeps staring at Kendall. Her gaze is a little sinister."
user @WorkHard: "Can Mia please work seriously? She's been at the beach for so long and only picked up two shells. She's been slacking off the whole time. Even if she can't find big seafood, she can at least learn from Sophia next to her and pick up some oysters, right?"
user @DetectiveSoo: "Is Mia's persona collapsing? She's so two-faced."
user @MiaIsTheBest: "Who said our Mia's persona is collapsing? Who in the entertainment industry doesn't have a persona? Are your idols all truly who they appear to be?"
user @KindestMia: "Right! We love Mia, no matter what her personality is!"
Whenever Liam saw Kendall now, he felt a twinge of pain in his body. Whether it was psychosomatic or because the injuries from Kendall's beating yesterday hadn't healed, Liam did not want to be close to her.
Seeing Kendall walking closer step by step, Liam couldn't help but urge, "We've searched this entire beach clean. We can't find any more seafood. Let's go back and see if Jasper and the others are back."
"Sounds good," Sophia immediately stood up. She wasn't wearing gloves, and her hands had several cuts, so she had long since stopped wanting to pry oysters.
Only Mia kept glancing at Kendall, her expression hesitant. No one knew what she wanted to do, and her pace was extremely slow.
Kendall had seen Liam's trio, but she only glanced at them before pulling her gaze away. She walked straight toward the spot where she had thrown the bottles yesterday. The location was relatively remote, which was why the bait Kendall placed there hadn't been discovered by Liam's group.
After finding the large stone tied with the rope, Kendall grabbed the rope from the water and hauled the three bottles out of the sea.
Henry quickly followed behind her and cried out in surprise. "So many fish!"
The three bottles were completely full of finger-sized sea fish. The last bottle even had a large octopus stuck to the outside, it must have wanted to eat the small fish inside, its long legs gripping the bottle tightly, wrapping around it completely.
Kendall looked at the catch and was quite satisfied. "Not bad."
Last night was calm with no rain. If the tide didn't come in, it was rare for seafood from the ocean to move onto the beach.
Kendall's simple trap greatly reduced the time needed for the two of them to find food.
user @PrincessRuRu: "So cool! Turning trash into treasure!"
user @TopCommentor: "Kendall actually managed to catch food!"
user @SensibleTeen: "So many small fish!"
user @DetectiveSoo: "Hahahaha, look, Liam and Mia suddenly started walking really fast!"
Mia and Liam had no idea that in just one day, Kendall had set up a fishing trap on the beach and caught so many fish! In comparison, the small amount of seafood he, Mia, and Sophia found after flipping rocks for nearly an hour seemed negligible.
Why stay? To be humiliated? Liam stalked away with a dark expression.

Kendall tossed the octopus to Henry and poured all the sea fish from the three bottles into the titanium pot Henry brought.
Then, she pulled out the survival knife, planning to clean the fish right there on the beach. The small fish were easy to handle.
She didn't need to scale them, only to slice open their bellies and squeeze out the internal organs.
Kendall didn't waste the squeezed-out entrails either, stuffing them back into the three bottles and tossing the bottles back into the seawater.

Kendall and Henry's breakfast was rich again, fish soup and flatbread. The bamboo bowls and cutlery Kendall made yesterday came in handy, perfect for holding the soup. The audience watching the live stream praised Kendall and Henry's feast endlessly.
Meanwhile, Mia's group also cooked the seafood they collected from the beach this morning. Although Mia and Sophia's backpacks were mostly filled with clothes and skincare products, the other male guests were more prepared.
They had pots and seasoning packets in their bags, and by pooling their resources, everyone managed to gather enough cooking equipment.
Jasper, Daniel, Ezra, and Elijah searched the forest for over an hour but only found one supply bag, which contained just compressed biscuits and water.
The four originally wanted to catch chickens and rabbits, but after chasing them in the forest for a long time until everyone was breathless, they still didn't manage to touch a single feather or piece of fur.
user @KingDaniel: "Hahahaha, Ezra checks in on TikTok every few days saying how much he loves fitness. Now it seems like he was completely lying."
user @SiSiOnTop: "Where are the people who mocked Kendall, saying she was only able to catch the chickens and rabbits because of good luck? Come out and look! Your idols ran until they were dizzy and still didn't catch anything."
user @AlwaysPessimistic: "What is going on? Why did the chickens and rabbits wait obediently to be caught by Kendall but become so quick and elusive around Daniel and Ezra's group?"
user @GymFreak: "Wait obediently to be caught? Are you misunderstanding the moves Kendall made? Kendall's reaction time and jumping ability are not what a normal person should have, okay!"
After everyone ate this uninspiring meal, Daniel spoke, "We can't keep waiting like this. It's already the third day, and the program team hasn't arrived. What if the program team never comes? Are we just going to wait forever?"
Ezra snorted, "Who wants to stay here? But this is a deserted island. We don't have a boat or a yacht. What else can we do but wait!"
At the mention of this issue, a look of anxiety appeared on everyone's faces. It was the third day now. No matter what happened outside, if the program team members were still alive, they should have come to find them by now.
Ezra suddenly cursed under his breath, then said, "There's no way the entire program team is dead, is there?!"
"Even if something happened to the program team, outside rescue teams should be searching for us," Sophia said, looking terrified. "Does the outside world think we're shooting in a closed-off filming environment?"
The program team had collected everyone's phones and other electronic devices, leaving them only with the wristwatches that, besides telling time, didn't seem to have any other function. Who would have thought that merely participating in a reality show would lead to this kind of mess?!
Jasper, sitting on the ground, suddenly raised his fist and slammed it hard onto the dirt. He was still so young, he absolutely could not waste the rest of his life here!
Jasper looked up, speaking decisively, "We have to save ourselves! We need to find a way to transmit the information that there are people on this deserted island."
"Exactly," Liam chimed in, then told Sophia, "Go and call Kendall and that commoner over."
There are only a few ways to transmit a signal from a deserted island. Even if they had been hostile before, everyone was now in the same boat. He certainly wouldn't allow Kendall and Henry to sit back and reap the benefits.
user @SleepingAuntie: "Save themselves? Transmit a signal? Is that what I think it means?"
user @ColdAsIce: "Hahahaha, it probably is. But what a shame. They're in a virtual world now. No boats will pass by here, and the rescue signal won't work."
user @TiredOfLife: "Sigh, when are they going to the safe house? There are two mystery guests waiting there! I really want to know who those two mystery guests are!"
