Chapter Seventeen
ROME
“Travis,” I greeted as I saluted the doorman of Bec’s building, and he opened the door for us.
She giggled next to me, which was unexpected. Everything about this night had been completely unexpected. Bec wanted me. The most beautiful, intelligent, kind woman to walk this planet wanted to be with me. I wouldn’t call myself a lucky man, but I won the lottery when it came to Bec.
Rebecca Bly, my not-so-fake girlfriend.
Bec pulled me into the building, her cheeks flushed, and she smiled widely. She glanced back at me over her shoulder, “Is his name even Travis?”
I shrugged and scanned us into the elevator that was specifically for her penthouse. “I have no idea… which I should. I did flash him a couple of months back.”
A startled laugh fell from Bec’s lips, “You did what?”
The elevator door opened, and we all but crashed in.
“It’s irrelevant,” I remarked. I could hear the huskiness in my own voice. I had a one-track mind at the moment. Everything in me was strung tight, just waiting to explode.
The moment the elevator closed, I was on her like a lion to prey. Her back hit the elevator wall just as my lips hit hers. She tasted like mint and heaven. She squealed when I grabbed under her thighs, picking her up so I could get a better angle.
Life started and stopped when kissing Bec.
Everything I knew about the world ceased to exist. In that moment, she was all that mattered.
She wrapped her legs around my waist and kissed me back with all she had.
My fingers threaded through her hair, and I pulled slightly.
She squirmed in my hold as I deepened our kiss.
“Rome,” she murmured against my lips.
I moved to kissing her jawline and down her neck, as I pulled at the turtleneck that was rudely in my way. “Mmhmm,” I hummed against her skin, nipping lightly.
I could feel her pulse quicken, her voice growing breathier with each kiss I left on her body, “There are cameras in here.”
“Don’t care,” I murmured, one of my hands traveling under her turtleneck. as I ran my fingers up her spine.
She pushed me back, and I looked into her sultry eyes. Her cheeks were flushed, and I suddenly wanted to know if the blush covered any other parts of her body. “I do.”
I nodded and set her gently on the ground before facing the elevator doors. “Has this ride always been so long?”
She rolled her eyes, but a smile still lingered on her face. “That impatient, are you?”
I smirked, “For you? Always.”
She smiled again and thank God the elevator doors finally opened. I pulled her into her dark living room. I had waited the entire drive to her building and the elevator ride up, but I couldn’t wait another moment. I pulled her close to me and began pulling up her shirt.
“Rome,” she interrupted. I stopped with her shirt halfway off.
“Yes?” I asked, forcing myself to slow down and breathe.
“Are you sure?” Her voice was tentative. “There’s no going back from this.”
“Good,” I pulled the rest of her turtleneck over her head. Her usually perfect hair was mussed, her blue eyes dilated, and her breaths were coming quicker. She was clad in a black lace bra, and goddamn, I needed that off of her immediately. “I don’t want to go back.”
It was as though the gods above had blessed me today, because she reached behind her back and unclasped her bra.
“Fuck,” I groaned as I closed the distance between us. I held her breast in my hand, running my thumb over the dusty pink nipple that hardened under my touch. “What do you like? What do you need?”
“You,” she murmured, arching into my touch. “I need you. Now.”
I closed my mouth over hers and blindly began unbuttoning her pants. She clearly had the same thoughts as she began unbuttoning my shirt, her cold fingers dusting over my torso. We were a fury of thrown clothes, clashing mouths, and wandering hands.
Bec took a step back. Her body bare, her ivory skin glowing in the dark room. The only light was what was seeping in through the floor-to-ceiling windows along the far wall. Which gave me an idea…
I took her hands in my own and guided her across the room. “You’re the most beautiful creature I have ever seen.”
She smirked, “You’ve already got me naked; I think you can stop the flattery now.”
I had backed her up against the large window, and I rested my palms on either side of her head. “It’s not flattery if it’s true.”
She rested her head against the glass, “You gonna fuck me, Cipriani, or just keep using your pretty words?”
I huffed a laugh, “Who said I couldn’t do both.” I reached between us, my hand reaching between her legs as my fingers parted her. She gasped at my touch.
“It seems the pretty words work,” I brought my fingers to my mouth, where I licked the taste of her away.
She watched the motion and licked her own lips. She took my wrist in her hand and moved my fingers towards her mouth. Then she met my eyes with her own as she slowly began tasting herself on my fingers. I groaned, imagining what else that tongue could do.
I turned her around quickly. She began to tumble but steadied herself against the glass. I grabbed her hips and bent her forward at the waist. I took my dick into my own hand and slapped it against her pussy quickly.
She gasped and pressed her hips against my own. She glanced at me over her shoulder, “You can do better than that.”
I shook my head at her. She was something else—even when I was about to fuck her senseless.
I guided myself towards her entrance, the warm heat beckoning me in.
I pushed in slowly, giving her body a moment to adjust to my intrusion.
We moaned in unison as I filled her, her breath growing headier as I bottomed out.
I should have given her more time to adjust, but my body moved without thought.
I began thrusting, slowly at first, but grew stronger with each time her body slapped against my own.
The look of her naked body bent in front of me, her hands splayed on the window, as I looked over the entire city, and I slid in and out of her, made me impossibly harder.
I couldn’t explain it, but I needed to do more to her…
for her. To do anything I could to make this unforgettable.
As I pulled out, I splayed my hand on the top of my dick and pushed back in, spreading her wider as both my hand and dick began thrusting in and out.
“Good girl,” I growled as her wetness slid down my balls, “You’re taking me so good, sweetheart.”
“Fuck me harder,” she moaned, pushing back against me. “As hard as you can, baby.”
I smirked, “Well, when you ask like that.”
So I went crazy. There was no thought. I removed my hand and gripped her hips as I slammed into her. She would have my fingerprints on her hipbones when I was done, and the idea of my mark being left on her turned me on even more.
My climax took me off-guard, crashing through my body, my movements growing frenzied. It pulsed through me as I emptied into Bec, filling her. She groaned as I came down. My chest heaved as I caught my breath… finally coming to a stop.
Bec turned slowly, my dick falling out of her. She looked up at me and ran a finger down the center of my abs. “You’re something else.”
I smiled, “I will be so much more. Give me a second to catch my breath.”
She laughed lightly, “Grab me a towel, will you? I hate walking around with cum dripping down my leg.”
I looked down and sure enough, evidence of me dripped down her inner thigh slowly. I couldn’t help myself. I dropped to my knees in front of her.
“Rome, what are you doing?” she asked with a gasp as I threw her leg over my hip.
“Kneeling in front of the only person I’ll ever worship,” I explained. “You said you didn’t like cleaning up cum. I have a better idea, sweetheart. Let me clean it for you.”
I steadied her on one leg with my arms, and she leaned back against the window.
I licked her deeply, slowly, tasting myself in her as I spread her with my tongue.
Feeling her squirm as I circled her clit, and hearing her gasp when I delved within her made my very happy dick want to go again.
Bec was the most sensual being I had ever witnessed.
It wasn’t just her body, but her confidence and intellect that drew me in deeper. The control she so desperately needed to have in the world, I wanted to take it from her here. She could rule the world; I would rule our bedroom.
I could feel the build-up as she bordered on her climax, the shudders coming quick and sporadic but still building. I took her to the edge, wanting to draw this out for the entire night, but wanting to watch her crash even more.
And crash she did. She came on a cry, my name falling from her lips as her entire body convulsed.
I guided her through it, taking on her weight as she finally began to come down, her breaths heavy.
I kissed her lower stomach lightly as I rose to my feet.
Her chest heaved, her eyes dilated enough that the blue I loved so much was nearly gone.
She sighed and smiled, a happy, sleepy smile that I hadn’t seen from her before. “I need food, a nap, and to do that many, many more times.”
I barked a laugh and picked her up in a bridal hold. I stepped over our discarded clothes scattered throughout the living room and made my way into her room. “I can supply all three of those.”
I deposited her onto her bed, and she bounced on the mattress with a laugh.
“Damn, I love that sound,” I mumbled.
Her brow raised in question, “What sound?”
“Your laugh,” I explained and slid into the bed next to her, pulling the blankets over our bodies. I laid on my side, my head propped onto one of my hands, while the other rested on her hip.
“Did I hurt you?”
I knew I left bruises, but I wanted to make sure it wasn’t too much… too far. Bec shook her head, “Not at all. You could never hurt me.”
“Well, damn, I guess I need to try harder next time,” I joked with a smile.
She rolled her eyes and rolled closer to me, resting her head on my chest.
“What happens now?” She asked, quietly.
I raised a brow, “I fuck you again, and see if I can break the bed this time.”
She rolled her eyes but smiled nonetheless. “I’ve unleashed a monster, haven’t I? That’s not what I meant. I mean between us. Things are complicated… really complicated. I just want to make sure we’re on the same page.”
She wasn’t wrong. I was her employee, we were in a fake relationship for the media, and her brother wasn’t going to be very pleased with the state of things between us now.
However, he was going home first thing in the morning, so I could push that conversation to a later date.
Things around us were complicated, but my feelings for her weren’t.
I wanted her. Simple as that.
“What do you want, Bec?” I asked.
She sighed, her breath lightly fanning against my chest. “I want to try and be with you for real, but I don’t think either of us knows how to be in a relationship.
I want to keep my job, and that requires us to maintain our fake relationship, too.
I…” She trailed off and turned slightly, resting her hands against my chest and her chin on her hands, “I want this to work, but I don’t know how. ”
“How many real relationships have you been in before me?” I asked as I tucked her hair behind her ear. She was beautiful in the dim light, with her steel blue eyes shining.
“Ummm…” she murmured, “maybe four or five. But nothing serious. You?”
“Zero.”
She barked a laugh. “Zero? Really?”
“Mmhm, the closest thing I’ve gotten to a real relationship is my friendship with Malachi.” If we were still friends. “We became rather co-dependent when serving. Well, I was co-dependent. He was annoyed.”
“Zero it is, then. How many people have you been with?” She asked, “Or should I leave that subject alone?”
I smirked, “If it will bother you, I don’t have to tell you. But I’m not ashamed. I don’t think anyone should be for sleeping around. I mean… it was all 100% consensual, and everyone involved wanted to do it at the time.”
She thought it over for a moment, her lips pursing. It was cute to watch her process information and sort it in her brain. “Ballpark. More than 20?”
“Yup.”
“More than 30?”
I nodded and smiled.
Her eyes grew wide. “I don’t know if I should be impressed or concerned.”
I booped her nose. “Impressed, sweetheart. I have a wealth of knowledge that we can put to good use.”
“So… we have barely any relationship experience between us, you’re good in bed, and you’re my employee.” She groaned, her forehead dropping. “We’re fucked.”
“We’ll figure it out. Whatever you need from me, we can do.”
She took a deep breath and sat up, pulling the sheet with her and wrapping it around her torso. “While we figure this out, can we keep it private?”
“You know we’re in a very public fake relationship, right?”
She rolled her eyes. “Yes, I do. Look… I need some sort of control over this. Keeping the real us private, for now, gives me some control. Maybe it doesn’t make sense to you, but I need this to feel better.”
“Okay.”
“Okay?” she asked. “No arguments? Just… okay?”
I nodded, “We all know you are far out of my league. I’ll do whatever you want of me if it means I get to keep you.”
“Has anyone ever told you that you’re far too agreeable?” She asked, perplexed.
I laughed, “You would be the second. Is that a problem?”
She shook her head. “No… I’m just not used to it. I guess I’m scared I’ll say something, and you’ll just argue and leave or something.”
I embraced her tightly, “I promise you, I’m not going anywhere. I won’t leave.”
