THE TRUTH ABOUT ELARA
At the center of the Door Realm stood the oldest door.
The Last Door.
Lyra stood before it.
"I have to tell you the truth."
Elara nodded.
Lyra placed her hand against the door.
"The Heartbearers were never created to save worlds."
"Then what were they created for?"
"To create them."
The door opened.
Beyond it was nothing.
No kingdom.
No stars.
Only endless darkness.
Lyra continued.
"Long ago, the first Heartbearer discovered that emotions could create reality."
Elara stared into the darkness.
"Reality?"
"Yes."
"Then what am I?"
Lyra looked at her.
"You are not simply a Heartbearer."
Elara waited.
"You are the first person born with the ability to create a new world."
Silence.
Kael stepped closer.
"And the Hollow?"
Lyra answered,
"It wants that power."
Elara understood.
"If it takes my power..."
"It can erase every world."
