CHAPTER FIFTEEN
THE WORLD THAT LEARNED TO FEEL
The wedding took place beneath the Tree of Stars.
Fairies danced around them.
Moonflowers bloomed.
The Moonfang watched from the forest.
Lucan cried openly and denied it.
Mira threw flowers into the air.
Queen Seraphine smiled.
And Elara stood beside Kael.
She looked across the magical kingdom.
Then she looked toward the portal leading to Veyra.
Two worlds.
Once separated.
Now connected.
She thought about the girl she had once been.
A lonely girl sitting on the floor of a gray bedroom.
A girl who believed her tears made her weak.
A girl who thought she was the only person in the world capable of feeling.
She smiled.
She had been wrong.
Her tears had not been her weakness.
They had been the key.
Kael took her hand.
"Ready?"
Elara looked at him.
"Always."
Together, they walked toward the glowing horizon.
Their adventure wasn't ending.
It was only beginning.
Because there would always be new worlds beyond the next door.
New mysteries.
New adventures.
New stars.
And as long as they had each other, they would never be afraid of feeling again.
The girl who once lived in a world without emotions had found something greater than magic.
She had found love.
And love had opened every door.
But just as Elara and Kael reached the center of the celebration, the air suddenly became cold.
The ancient portal behind them flickered.
Once.
Twice.
Then the portal changed.
Its golden light turned deep violet, and a strange symbol appeared across its surface—one Elara had never seen before.
Kael immediately stopped smiling.
"That's impossible."
Elara looked at him.
"What is it?"
Before Kael could answer, a girl's voice whispered from the other side of the portal.
"Elara..."
Elara's heart stopped.
The voice sounded frightened.
Then it whispered again.
"You opened the first door. Now you must open the last one."
The portal flashed.
For a single second, Elara saw another world beyond it—a dark kingdom beneath a red moon, filled with enormous floating ruins and thousands of glowing doors.
Then the vision vanished.
Kael grabbed her hand.
"Don't go near it."
Elara looked at him.
"But someone is trapped there."
The strange voice returned one final time.
"We have been waiting for you, Heartbearer."
The portal closed.
Everyone stood in silence.
Elara slowly looked at Kael.
"I think our adventure isn't over."
Kael squeezed her hand and smiled.
"Then we'll face the next world together."
Far beyond Aetheria, behind a door that had remained sealed for a thousand years, something opened its eyes.
And it whispered Elara's name.
