Qin Zhen opened the Trading Zone and found that her Life Potions had sold out almost instantly.
She had assumed not many Players could afford Life Potions — after all, Clotgrass and Dandelions were fairly hard to come by, at least from her perspective.
She hadn't expected other Players to have huge quantities of them right next to their Shelters...
All she could feel about that was pure, unadulterated envy.
She collected [Clotgrass ×2,250, Dandelions ×1,200, Pine Resin ×1,200].
Qin Zhen spent another half hour crafting 225 bottles of Life Potions, leaving her with Dandelions ×75 and Pine Resin ×75.
She kept twenty-five bottles for herself, listed two hundred in the Trading Zone, and went to sleep.
The next morning, Qin Zhen was once again jolted awake by the sounds of monsters.
So annoying — would it ever end?!
Fuming, she grabbed her weapon and charged out the door.
One look outside and she froze. Her Spike Fences were swarming with dense clusters of black creatures.
She counted — there were twenty of them in total.
Five of them were Tier 1 Monsters.
[Netherfiend Demon Cat: Tier 1 Monster. High Attack Power with formidable vitality. Those struck may become infected with Netherfiend Miasma; if not cleansed in time, death will follow. Attack Power: 80; Defense: 80; HP: 800]
These stats were undeniably higher than yesterday's Netherfiend Demon Wolves.
This System was truly rotten — it was testing her limits little by little!
Still, impressive stats or not, the Netherfiend Demon Cats were no match for Qin Zhen's double-layered Spike Fences and the weapon in her hands.
Before long, all twenty Netherfiend Demon Cats had been slain.
After breaking them all down, she obtained Netherfiend Demon Cat meat, various materials, 10 Wooden Chests, 5 Black Iron Chests, and 700 EXP.
Qin Zhen didn't open them yet. She planned to wait until all five waves of monsters were done for the day and open everything at once — much more efficient.
During the breaks in between, she busied herself crafting axes and Spike Fences.
Night fell.
Qin Zhen sat in her Lounge Chair, sorting through her supplies.
In addition to the monster materials she'd gathered throughout the day, she had also obtained 60 Wooden Chests, 25 Black Iron Chests, and 3,500 EXP.
The numbers left her a little stunned.
Killing monsters really was the best way to accumulate supplies!
With so many Black Iron Chests, even Qin Zhen couldn't help feeling a flutter of anticipation.
Just as she was about to open the chests, a thud thud thud came from outside.
More monsters?
But all five waves for today had already come and gone!
The sounds outside grew louder and louder. Qin Zhen could only conclude that the System was being inhumane again.
She grabbed her Flashlight and her weapon, then opened the door.
Outside were more Netherfiend Demon Cats.
Three of them.
Two were Tier 1, and one was Tier 2.

Staring at those outrageous stats, Qin Zhen was ready to curse the System out — did it think she was a pushover just because she hadn't blown up yet?
Grumbling under her breath, she drew the Lianyue Crossbow and targeted the two Tier 1 Netherfiend Demon Cats first.
Fortunately, Qin Zhen's archery had improved considerably through days of continuous real combat.
She wasn't hitting every shot, but eight out of ten was perfectly manageable.
For that, she could only credit her good Luck.
Yes — her in-game Luck stat actually influenced her arrow accuracy.
Otherwise, given that Qin Zhen had never touched a bow in her life before all this, how could she possibly have reached such a high hit rate in just a few days?
The two Tier 1 Netherfiend Demon Cats fell — and her second layer of Spike Fences was destroyed along with them.
One Tier 2 remained.
Qin Zhen switched to the Starlight Staff (Purple) and hurled a Glacial Ring at the creature, freezing it solid.
She fired several rapid shots with the Lianyue Crossbow and landed a good number of them, but it barely tickled the Netherfiend Demon Cat.
Its Defense was simply too high, and its HP bar was absurdly thick.
Her only option was to grind it down slowly — cycling between the Glacial Ring's freeze and the Lianyue Crossbow's attacks, bit by bit.
In the end, Qin Zhen had nearly exhausted both her MP and her Arrows before she finally finished off the Tier 2 Netherfiend Demon Cat.
Breaking it down yielded some Netherfiend Demon Cat Drop Materials, two Black Iron Chests, one Red Copper Chest, and 300 EXP.

Qin Zhen tapped yes.

A Tier 2 Monster had dropped a Red Copper Chest — and the System had even awarded a First Kill bonus!
She'd had a hunch, but Qin Zhen was thrilled all the same.
She had topped three leaderboards just to earn one Red Copper Chest, yet killing a single Tier 2 Monster had handed her two!
All that hard fighting had been worth it.
Qin Zhen settled inside and began opening her chests with eager anticipation.
She started with the Wooden Chests, then the Black Iron Chests, and saved the Red Copper Chests for last.
She always saved the best for last!
Opening sixty Wooden Chests yielded: [Mineral Water 500ml ×100, Bread 200g ×100, Rice 1kg ×50, Luosifen ×20, Cola 300ml ×10, Cement ×200, Snack Gift Set ×10, Seasoning Gift Set ×10, Women's Underwear ×10, Curtains ×5, Wooden Table ×1, Wooden Chair ×5].
Opening twenty-seven Black Iron Chests yielded: Blueprint ×3, Blue-grade Equipment ×18, Green-grade Equipment ×10, Wood Affinity Skill Book ×1, Earth Affinity Skill Book ×1, Attribute Orb ×90, Inventory Expansion Card ×30.
The three Blueprints were for a Wooden Bed, a Wooden Table, and a Wooden Chair.

The System felt like it was phoning it in at this point.
Was it seeing that she had too many Black Iron Chests and deliberately downgrading the quality of her loot?
