Chapter 20 Dagger in the Warehouse

That day's meeting became the last straw.

I withdrew into myself. I did not want to go out, and I no longer spoke to anyone.

Feng Si tried every way he could to cheer me up.

On a clear afternoon, he said, all secretive, that he would take me on an outing.

The car stopped in front of a rundown warehouse.

A woman's piercing screams kept coming from inside.

Then I saw Sheng Yiyi bound to a chair, covered in wounds.

The arrogance she used to wear had turned into humble pleading.

She listed her own faults and only begged me to let her go.

Feng Si did not move. He only handed me a dagger.

"Go on. I'll collect the body for you."

Sheng Yiyi looked at me, shaking. The fear on her face was the same as mine had been back then.

I stopped the step I had taken forward and turned to mock Feng Si.

"Then will you be buried with her? After all, she counts as an accomplice at most. The real culprit—is you!"

Feng Si did not argue. He only clamped the hand I used to hold the knife and drove it hard into his own chest.

Blood surged out and stained the ground in an instant.

"Are you any happier now, Gu Qian?" He strained to lift the corners of his pale lips.
