Brody

Iwant to give her my neck. I want to feel her as she drinks from me.

“Not yet,” she whispers. “One day, but not yet.”

I lean back a little to look at her. I would do anything for this woman, abandon myself to her care and let her have me in every way possible. “I’ll be waiting,” I tell her.

She kisses my lips and takes my hand, guiding it between her legs. “Do you know why I’m so wet?” she asks.

I shake my head as she presses against my fingers.

“I’m imagining you bending me over the bed.” My index finger slides inside her and she gasps. “I believe you said you wanted to hitch up this t-shirt and…” she trails off as I add my middle finger.

“Tell me,” I say softly. “Tell me how you want me to fuck you.”

“I want you to hold my hips and enter me. Slowly. Inch by inch, pulling me back onto you.” She moves against my fingers as she talks.

“And then I want you to pull out, not all the way, but almost. And then thrust into me. And again. And again. Speeding up a little each time. Getting faster and faster. Harder and harder.”

I do what I’m told. Taking my lead from her. Feeling like I’m going to burst at any moment as she moans and tangles her hands in my sheets.

We doze for a while, but I can feel her shifting a little, like she’s awake and can’t get comfy but doesn’t want to disturb me. I crack an eye open and look at her. She’s so beautiful for a moment I can’t think of anything to say.

“What are you thinking?” I ask her eventually, then immediately want to stick pins in my eyes as it’s such a lame question.

She laugh softly. “I was thinking about Only Fangs.”

“Oh.” Well, that’s my romantic notions shattered. Although I guess if you ask stupid questions you shouldn’t expect the answer to be a declaration of love.

“Tell me how it’ll work, the UX and everything.” She wraps the blanket around herself a little more and turns to face me.

“Are you cold?” I ask her.

“I don’t mind the cold,” she says and I feel like a fool, but she carries on talking, “but I still like to be cozy. Now, tell me about Only Fangs,” she demands.

My breath catches in the back of my throat.

Damn, she looks hot when she’s waiting for me to clarify something.

I feel like pushing my glasses up my nose like I’m a professor.

“So I’ve been planning a questionnaire for at the start.

Are you a vampire or a normie? Are you looking for love or looking for a good time?

If you’re a vampire it’ll ask if you want to match with other vampires only or if you’re open to someone a little…

.” I trail off, not quite sure of the right word.

“Someone a little warmer?” She offers up and bites her bottom lip.

I want to take her right now but instead I blush. “Is it…” I want to ask if it really does feel different.

She doesn’t reply, just bites her lip harder. “Continue.”

It takes all my resolve to carry on talking about work stuff when she’s looking at me like that.

“And then the app will only show you people who you could match to. So I’d say I’m human, looking for love, open to vampires.

And you’d say you’re vampire, looking for love?

” There’s the tiniest hint of a question there.

I know she’s already said it but I still don’t quite believe her.

But she nods and in my head I punch the air like an excited kid. “Open to normies.”

“So the app matches us?”

“Based on other criteria too obviously. Like where we live and what we like to do in our spare time. And if you’re a vampire you can specify some other things. Or filter your results in certain ways. Like for age or whatever.”

“And can normies match with other normies?”

“No. That would be insane. It’s called Only Fangs. At least one party has to have fangs.”

“We could expand it to other species,” she says, looking inspired.

“Yes. If they have fangs.”

“Hmmm. Technically only vampires have fangs.” She sounds disappointed.

“Well. We could make other apps. We could do Lycan Love.”

“For werewolves?” she asks.

“Exactly. Or Bewitched.”

“For witches and warlocks. Genius.”

We both dissolve into fits of giggles, which turns into kissing, which turns into… well, you get the drift. I’m sure you don’t need a blow by blow – if you’ll excuse the pun – every time do you? At this rate the story will never get finished.

I wake up the next morning to find her sitting at my desk staring out of the window, my thick fluffy blanket wrapped around her shoulders and half her hair trailing out of the messy bun she’s tried to twist it up into. I want to kiss the back of her neck. I want to—.

“Oh, you’re awake,” she interrupts my thoughts with just the merest hint of a strict school mistress tone to her words. As if I’ve ever so slightly disappointed her. Although perhaps she isn’t used to a partner who needs to get eight hours of sleep each night to actually function.

“How long have you been up?” I ask.

She narrows her eyes. “I don’t sleep much.”

“No. Of course. I mean…” but I trail off.

I need to stop explaining myself at every opportunity.

I need to believe this is real and not just a figment of my imagination that’s about to evaporate into a puff of smoke when she realises that as the most beautiful woman on the planet, she could have any man she wanted and she really doesn’t need to settle for me.

“I’m not settling,” she says, once again with that uncanny ability to read my thoughts.

“How do you do that?”

“You have the shittest poker face I have ever seen. It isn’t that I’m good at reading you, it’s because you advertise every thought on that pretty little face of yours.

Anyway. I’ve been thinking about Only Fangs and we have a tonne of work to do, especially if we’re going to launch it more widely than just vampires. ”

“So you think it’s a good idea. To let normies in?”

“It’s genius.”

I smile at the compliment.

“And it’s going to piss off Andrei Hele so fucking much.” She rubs her hands together and gives me a wicked grin.

“He’ll hate it, won’t he?” I ask.

“That his precious vampires might find love with the normies? He’s going to be apoplectic, especially because you messed up his plans and then you’re going to build this app too.

” She smiles. “We’ll have to compete with his BloodMatch app, but I don’t think it’s going to be much of a competition.

He’s going to learn that you don’t mess with Brody and Ari. ”

“I love it when you’re all angry and righteous,” I tell her.

She stands up and allows the blanket to fall to a puddle on the floor. “Enough about Andrei Hele and BloodMatch. I think last night you said something about me hooking my legs over your shoulders? I would like to do that now please.”

“Of course, ma’am, your wish is my command. But first, if I may make a suggestion?” I slip out of bed and take a few steps towards her before sinking to my knees. I plant a kiss on her inner thigh.

She takes a fistful of my hair in her hand and uses it to position my mouth. “Let me help you to find the right—” she says, her final word cut off as my tongue meets its target.
