The Human She Hired

Ari Haywood has watched the world change for a hundred and seventy-two years, and the latest change is that humans finally accept vampires.

She no longer has to hide. She does, however, have to pay her bills.

When her friends complain that dating is now crowded with cosplayers and tourists, she decides one idea can answer both problems: a vampire-only app with the catchy name Only Fangs.

Building it is much harder than naming it.

No vampire she can find has the skills to code it until Brody Jackson appears—intelligent, qualified, and, best of all, cheap.

He is also human, sunny in the way of a golden retriever, and a little too cute.

Ari does not date. Ever, so none of that is relevant.

Brody prefers the bright side, except when he is honest about his own disastrous love life.

Another epic mistake is the last thing he wants, especially one that involves falling for his vampire boss.

The work is already awkward enough. She cannot afford an office, the job comes with a gothic country mansion and its secret tunnels, and a living man still has to pass as a vampire before the High Council.
